A SISTER of the Ibrahim brothers has been arrested by police who found $3 million in cash, stashed in the ceiling of a house in northwest Sydney.

Detectives from the Middle Eastern Organised Crime Squad found $2.86 million at the home of Maha Sayour, in Pearson St, Wentworthville, during a raid on April 29.

They arrested the 39-year-old Merrylands woman in connection with the find after she presented herself to Merrylands police station this morning.

The Wentworthville house was raided by Strike Force Bellwood, which was established in April this year to investigate alleged criminal activity involving a Middle Eastern criminal group.

The 39-year-old woman has been granted police bail to appear at Fairfield Local Court on October 21.

Ms Sayour is the sister of the four Ibrahim brothers, including former bikie Hassan "Sam", nightclub owner John and the two younger brothers, Mick and Fadi.
