About 1.00pm, the two males befriended the 17-year-old girl at Parramatta Railway Station. The girl went with the males to a nearby shopping centre where she was taken to a fire stairwell in a car park on level 7.

The girl has told police the males then forced her to the ground and sexually assaulted her. The males ran from the scene with the girl attending a nearby store where she reported the incident.

Police have released images of two males who may be able to assist them with inquiries into the matter.

The males are both described as being of Middle Eastern/Mediterranean appearance, and aged in their late mid to late teens.

Anyone with information on the identity of the males are urged to contact Parramatta Detectives on (02) 9633 0727 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Daily Telegraph

TWO youths have been arrested following the sexual assault of a teenage girl at a western Sydney shopping centre on Christmas Eve.

The pair allegedly forced the 17-year-old girl to the ground in a car park stairwell at a Parramatta shopping centre, and sexually assaulted her.

After police released images of two youths they wanted to speak with, two boys aged 15 and 17 surrendered themselves to officers at Fairfield Police Station about 5pm (AEDT) on Friday, police said.

They were questioned by detectives about the alleged sexual assault at the Parramatta shopping centre and later arrested.

Ignoble Islam Dubai: British Woman Raped and then arrested by Police for illegal sex

Woman reports rape in Dubai, but is then arrested for illegal sex

By Nick Parker

January 08, 2010

A BRITISH woman on holiday in Dubai reportedly went to police after being raped - but was arrested for having llegal sex.

The 23-year-old Londoner says she was attacked by a waiter in a hotel toilet after celebrating her engagement to her boyfriend,

The Sun reports

But after she admitted drinking alcohol and sharing a hotel room with her fiancé, police in the strict Islamic state arrested her for "illegal drinking" outside licensed premises and having sex outside marriage. Her 44-year-old

fiancé, also from London, was charged with the same offences. And both were thrown in police cells by officers who paid little heed to the rape.

The devastated couple are understood to be on bail awaiting trial and have had their passports confiscated. They could be jailed for up to six years if found guilty of the illicit sex charge.

British embassy officials in the desert emirate are helping them.

A diplomatic source said: "There have been some truly appalling injustices in Dubai but this one tops the lot.

"A desperate, distressed rape victim went with her boyfriend to report the attack to police. And both wound up behind bars.

"The police and authorities in Dubai have shamed themselves by yet again displaying a breathtaking lack of compassion and humanity."

The ordeal of the rape victim, a Muslim of Pakistani descent, began after she joyfully accepted a marriage proposal from her boyfriend during a three-day New Year break. She admitted drinking too much as they celebrated at Dubai

Marina's luxurious Address Hotel - and passed out in a ladies' toilet. The waiter is said to have followed her into the toilets and raped her while she was semi-conscious.

Her fiancé was initially unaware of the attack and helped her to their room, where they slept until the next day. But the horror of the rape came back to her when she woke - and the pair went to Jebel Ali police station to report it.

Her attacker, who is understood to be Syrian, is believed to have denied rape. He claimed the Briton consented but has also been charged with "illegal sex".

A spokesman for the Address Hotel said: "The matter is being investigated by the authorities."

Ignoble Islam : Muslim kills daughter,”too westernised”

Father accused of killing 'westernised' daughter 'doesn't understand'

SMH
January 7, 2010

An Iraqi immigrant accused of killing his 20-year-old daughter in the US because he believed she had become too westernised doesn't understand court proceedings and may need a mental-health evaluation, says his lawyer.

Copy of 7 1 2010 Father accused of killing 'westernised' daughter 'doesn't understand'

The lawyer, Billy Little, said he first met 49-year-old Faleh Hassan Almaleki in Phoenix on Tuesday, and the immigrant did not understand the role of his lawyer, the judge or a grand jury.

"He just doesn't have a clue as to what's going on," Little told The Associated Press. "I can't determine if it's language, cultural or a mental-health issue."

A mental-health expert typically evaluates a defendant's competency to stand trial in such cases, Little said.

If the lack of comprehension has to do with language or culture, Almaleki may just need to be taught about the American justice system in his native Arabic.

Authorities say Almaleki ran down his daughter and another woman with his Jeep on October 20 as they were walking across a parking lot in the Phoenix suburb of Peoria.

Family members told police that Almaleki attacked his daughter because she was not living according to his traditional Iraqi values.

Noor Faleh Almaleki died on November 2. The other woman, Amal Khalaf, survived; she is the mother of Noor's boyfriend.

Almaleki was in court on Wednesday in a black-and-white jail uniform and said only his name and birthday when prompted by the judge. His next scheduled court date is February 8.

Almaleki had a different attorney from the Maricopa County public defender's office until Tuesday, when Little took over.

Little is on the office's capital case team, and although prosecutors haven't decided whether to seek the death penalty against Almaleki, Little said his office believes it's likely, so he needs to begin defending the case now.

Mike Scerbo, spokesman for County Attorney Andrew Thomas, declined to comment on the case beyond an earlier statement.

"We will fully prosecute this tragic case of alleged homicide and domestic violence," Thomas said at the time.

Several court appearances had to be cancelled after Almaleki was put on suicide watch, but Little said that has no longer been an issue.

Almaleki is charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault and leaving the scene of a serious injury accident.

Almaleki and his family moved to the US in the mid-1990s and lived in the Phoenix suburb of Glendale.

Friends said Noor simply wanted to be a normal American woman, and that she was never disrespectful to her father, just independent.

Friends said Almaleki forced Noor to quit her job at a fast-food restaurant, and in 2008, he took her to Iraq under the guise of visiting family. Actually, he had picked out a husband for her and told her she couldn't return to Arizona unless she married him.

Noor married the man and returned, and friends said her husband was in the process of trying to move to the U.S.

But Noor fell in love with another man, they said, and she was living in his home with his mother when she was killed.

Gee whoda thought something like this could happen, it is a Religion of Peace after all and Hussein Obama demands we respect it there must be some misunderstanding.

Australian KFC Commercial : Professional “Black Fella’s” and those looking for something to be offended by.

KFC pulls 'racist' Aussie cricket ad

The Daily Telegraph
January 07, 2010

KFC head office in the United States has pulled a controversial Australian commercial which sparked furious debate in America about whether it was racist.

The commercial, featuring a white Australian cricket fan offering fried chicken to West Indies supporters, has been pulled from the air in Australia.

"KFC Australia is removing the television advertisement that was being run in conjunction with the Australian cricket season,'' the chicken fast food giant announced in a statement.

"We apologise for any misinterpretation of the ad as it was not meant to offend anyone.''

The Australian TV commercial was picked up by the US media, including the New York Daily News and Baltimore Sun, and drew heated debate, with some Americans accusing Australians of being racist because it perpetuates a stereotype that African Americans eat a lot of fried chicken.

The ad is one in a series where a cricket lover quietens people around him by giving them KFC to eat so he can enjoy the game.

The New York Daily News staged a poll on its website asking if the ad was offensive.

The vote was almost split, with 51 per choosing "No, it's just light-hearted and fun'' while 42 per cent selected "Yes, it plays on stereotypes''.

Six per cent voted "I'm not sure''.

Readers inundated the newspaper websites with emotional posts.

"This was blatantly racist,'' one reader commented on the NY Daily News website.

Another wrote: "Yeah, coming from the same people who almost singlehandedly wiped out the whole race of aborogines (sic). You people are the worst. I've had friends who visited Australia and they told me how it is over there''.

“You people are the worst…..” ? you people ?

Oh pray tell enlightened one, please tell us all just how it is “over there” so we all may be so much better informed.

Australians, upset at the American response, bombarded US news websites and blogs to defend the ad and attempt to explain Australian humour.

"Oh dear,'' an Australian wrote on the Baltimore Sun site.

"Another shining example of how some Americans can be absolutely clueless about anything further away than the tip of their own nose.''

The furore began in the US after the ad was posted on YouTube, attracting thousands of comments and sparking members of the public to post their own video responses.

Meanwhile, acting Prime Minister Julia Gillard didn't weigh into the debate, but she did admit to eating KFC.

She had seen the KFC logo emblazoned on cricketers' uniforms.

"I'm someone who's eaten the occasional bit of KFC, but I can't say that I'm an expert in their current advertising strategy,'' Ms Gillard told reporters in Adelaide on Thursday.

"My general world outlook is to take things on the lighter side, but I'm not in a position to give a specific comment about that ad.''

The professional “feel my pain” and their partners in the guilt and permanently offended industry “I feel your pain” arse clowns, have not had much to do lately.

I say that because how else could they stick their goose necks out so far and beat up a “white racist’s are making us feel bad about ourselves again” bull shit issue like this ?

The facts are KFC is a major sponsor of the sport of Cricket in Australia, the West Indian cricket team comes here to play against Australia and other countries in a series of “Tests” and other formats during the Australian summer and have done so for many many years.

They are famous for their loyal and exuberant supporters who follow them not only to Australia but all over the world to watch and support their beloved Cricket team wherever they may be playing.

The professional “feel my pain”  “I feel your pain” industry, arse clowns have obviously never attended a game of cricket between the West Indian team and Australia or any other team for that matter, for if they had they would have, hopefully, realised that there was no subtext, no  hidden racist agenda, no slur against “Black Fella’s” intrinsically woven into the message of the ad, but rather an Australian cricket team supporter who found himself surrounded by the West Indian cheer squad at the Sydney Cricket Ground when their team was clearly getting the better of the Australian team.

For the professional “feel my pain”  “I feel your pain” industry, arse clowns, to imply that these West Indian supporters were somehow getting out of control, as opposed to doing what they generally do when their team is getting the upper hand or wins, and had to be calmed down with Fried Chicken,is a position that only those looking for yet another “oppressed Black Fella’s” and their mindsets facilitators pity party.

Would the same “feel my pain”  “I feel your pain” industry, have been so offended had the ad featured a lone West Indian supporter surrounded by exuberant Australian supporters and started handing out Meat Pies of Fosters Beer in the spirit of good will and sharing of the human spirit as did the Australian supporter aka.“You people…” depicted in the ad?

You can be a member of the Negroid race and not be an American, just as you can be a member of the Caucasian race and not be an American.

Australia has enough racially motivated bigots in the Lefts Multicultural Industry to divide, label and name call those who identify as un hyphenated Australian’s without their leftist cousins in the USA attempting to do their dirty work for them, Australia has it’s own taxpayer funded fifth column busily working away 24/7 365 doing whatever it can whenever it can to drive us back to their very own “year zero” so that they can remake us in their image.

I say Old Chap, raatheeeer,….. anyone for Cricket?

Australia’s Dear Leader writes Children’s Book

Kevin Rudd writes book for kids

By NICK LEYS
The Sunday Telegraph

PRIME Minister Kevin Rudd has written a children's book.

Described by his staff as "more secretive than the Budget", the kiddies' adventure story about the PM's cat and dog will be published this month.

A year after being both praised and panned for penning a 10,000-word essay on the decline of capitalism in the wake of the global financial crisis, Mr Rudd has decided to aim for a younger, possibly less critical, market.

Titled Jasper and Abby and the Great Australia Day Kerfuffle, the book follows dog Abby and cat Jasper in an adventure in the grounds of Kirribilli House.

Known for his great love of his animals, Mr Rudd yesterday revealed his plans to go into print for charity, co-authoring a children's book with former Play School presenter and actor Rhys Muldoon.

"I've worked on the text with Rhys and we've both interviewed the cat and the dog. They have been very co-operative in their responses but, for most of the time, have gone off the record," he said.

"It has not been the most demanding text I have worked on."

Without revealing the plot, The Sunday Telegraph understands Jasper's high-maintenance character plays a significant role.

Oh, come on Kevin. As if it isn't awful enough to see you every second day sitting on a kindy chair pretending to read to kindy kids for the news cameras, now you have pretended (with a co-author)to write a book about your pets for those same kindy kids. (The way you were holding that cat wasn't a good look, btw. Puss seemed desperate to get away, and your smile suggests the claws were dug into somewhere painful in your lap.)

Now it makes sense...Rudd's address on behalf of Australia to the world and its leaders at Copenhagen, where he quoted letters from Australian children, on his mantra that climate change was the most important issue facing us and our children...was that speech a publicity stunt?, pre book tour marketing for his target demographic?, or prepping his image prior to this book release? Recently, didn't the PM fail to attend a meeting on free trade / book tariffs, with the official reason given that his daughter was writing a book and it would be a conflict of interest in attending / involvement? So was the 'official' story the truth or was it really that Rudd knew his book would be coming out shortly - in which case another little lie - like the three accounts that dribbled out over the Brian Bourke affair in early 2007 - with each account being the 'full story' upon issue. Good to see the ALP tradition of close liaison with celebrities from the arts community as we enter a election year (but no Cate in recent times?) and obviously when Rudd goes on about working harder than ever, due to the numerous 'crises' we have, we have a better idea about what he has spent some time on.

Well, if there is one thing Rudd should be tops at it's telling fairytales. His imagination and story telling have far out paced his real achievements since he became Prime Minister. I can hardly wait for the book where the big, mean, power hungry king of the north destroys a country for his own ego. Maybe he should get into poetry - something like, "My name is Kevin and I like to tax and if your not careful I have the shirt off your backs'.

Another gimmick and photo opportunity by Kevin Rudd. It is a shame he doesn't put the same effort into providing good government for the people of Australia as he does in getting his photo in the media. Never in the countrys history have we had a prime minister who has delivered so little yet manages to use the media in such a high profile manner. Everthing this PM does is all about self promotion, lacks substance and is all spin and designed to raise his personal public profile. This PM has an addiction for receiving publicity and photo opportunities. After two years his albumn must full and it is time to deliver for the people of Australia on the numerous broken and yet to be delivered promised made during the 2007 election campaign.

whilst i strongly believe in children reading books and encouraging authors of childrens books,is Mr Rudd mad or going mad?He elads a government whch has not delivered on a single election promise tried to inflict a whole new tax on Australians without even detailing how it would work or what it wold cost,is hardly ever in the country and is incapable of making a single policy decision and he is now turning his attention to co authoring a childrens book.I am sorry but those of you who voted for this man as PM and Labor have been cheated and lied to by him and his great expectations of hope. Now its a kids book about a dog and cat, wonder if he says sorry to them in it?

Seriously, what the hell is this?!! Someone should tell Rudd that PM stands for "Prime Minister", not "Popular Man." I am tired of soft media reports on this idiot. His PR machine is desperate to hide Rudd's failures. Perhaps he should write a children's book that begins with "Once upon a time, far far away in a place called Copenhagen...." Now what a fairy tale that would be.

Sorry Kev, ol' mate, ol' buddy, ol' cobber, ol' pal, this is NOT going to do it for you. There's an old saying, "When people show you who they REALLY are, believe them". I believe you "mate". Appealing to our kids with what a kind, friendly, thoughtful fellow you are, isn't going to make all the rest go away. Anyhow, five year olds don't get to vote - I DO, and unlike most Labor/Socialists with the attention-span of children, I know who and what you are. A cynical grab for the warm and fuzzies won't do it for you - "pal".

What next - I can't believe Rudd has now stooped to using his dog and cat to further his career. I would have thought that he would have enough to do. I also believe Rhys Muldoon probably wrote the thing but of course due to Rudd form he will take the kudos. I wouldn't let my kids near anything written by Rudd. I suppose when you are such a boring character you are left with only your dog and cat (probably yawning) to talk to !!! Boadica

What a fantastic initiative Mr. Rudd, and for charity too. I can't wait to see the story-line. Is the pussy's litter tray full of shredded paper? Does the pussy and the doggy know that the future for their little four-legged friends looks bleak when their owners can no longer afford to feed them and they have to scrounge for scraps? Do they realise that as they exhale Co2 and fart methane they will attract a Carbon Tax? This will change the weather so that's good eh? Not to worry, because as their "daddy" is the Engineer on the Gravy Train, they'll never want for a roof over their heads. Great idea Kev!

I read with disgust this article. Rudd's written a children's book - wow! Peter Spencer is on day 42 of a hunger strike which is growing more likely to end in his death. Rudd and family are off soon on a holiday to Tassie and peter Spencer is on day 42 of a hunger strike. A hunger strike that Rudd that great and public Christian often photographed outside churces, could end by getting up there beside Peter Spencer and promising to sort out the issues which have driven Peter to such drastic action. When I look at the photo of Rudd with his hands around the cat's throat, looking for all the world like a big Jessie, and I consider the photos I have seen of Peter Spencer it is clear to me who the more honourable gentleman is. Peter is practising passive resistance involving self sacrifice a form of action recommended by that great man Mahatma Ghandi. Rudd is practising self preservation - and not doing well at all at that. Prime Minister Rudd and ALL politicians who are ignoring what Peter Spencer is should hang their heads in shame, if any of them remember what real shame is.

How about writing a plan for the future of this country, Mr Rudd, or better still, sitting down and systematically working through the current problems this country faces now before it’s too late? Too busy to explain a proposed tax wrapped up as an “environmental solution” to Australians yet he has got all the time in the world to explain a story to the innocent and less critical minds of 5 year olds! Unbelievable!!! This guy’s narcissism has no bounds. On the other hand, should we expect anymore from Mr Rudd given his performance as PM already? Mr Rudd must be voted out in 2010!!

Your comment made absolutely NO sense whatsoever. As for everyone else here, I think it would be the funniest thing out if Rudd got re-elected. You'd all self destruct! The sad reality is, after the next election, whoever gets in, these pages will be chock full of whingers going on about how pathetic our govt is, and bring on an early election, blah blah blah. Same old drivel. Oh, and as for Kev writing a book, I'm writing a book too. I write when I hop into bed of a night before I go to sleep. Even the Big K is entitled to that amount of personal time.     No time to go and see poor Mr Spencer who is on a hunger strike on his farm until he sees this pitiful excuse for leader - time to write a book about something as simple as he is but - awesome.

He has time to do this because just like Government Policies and inquiries he gets somebody else to do it and then just puts his stamp on it. Question I would have to ask is whether he has read it yet or whether he is just standing by it with his pets as a policy.

I bellieve that Mr Rudd wrote this book because children dont know what he is doing to the country and it would only be a labour suppporter that would buy this book for their kids maybe he will have it distrubited through the schools its the only way anyyone will read it. Mr Rudd loves his pets because they cant answer back and unlike humans he can have complete controle over them. What is it comming to when we have a Prime Minister of a great country like ours having time to write a book (oh thats right I forgot he spends most of his time with his bum on a seat in a plane. Good luck Mr Rudd I hope its a big flop

DANISH police shot and wounded a man who tried to enter the home of Kurt Westergaard, who drew controversial cartoons of Islam's Prophet Mohammed, Danish security sources said.

The security sources said the man was close to radical Somali Islamists.

The Danish cartoonist, who has received several death threats since a Danish newspaper four years ago published his drawing featuring Mohammed wearing a turban in the shape of a bomb, was at home in Viby near the western city of Aarhus when the 27-year-old and two others tried to get in, daily Politiken reported online.

Guards repulsed the three intruders as security alarms were set off.

The wounded man was hospitalised.

Denmark's Ritzau news agency said a dozen police vehicles were at the scene while sappers were sent in to look for a bomb that may have been laid.

Contacted by AFP, Jutland police confirmed an incident near the home of the 74-year-old cartoonist but refused to give details pending the release of a statement later.

Westergaard is one of 12 cartoonists whose drawings of the Muslim prophet were first published in Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten in September 2005, sparking controversy among Muslims worldwide.

The 12 cartoons were considered offensive by many Muslims and their publication sparked violent protests worldwide in January and February 2006.

Demonstrators burned Danish flags in protests that culminated in February 2006 with the torching of Danish diplomatic offices in Damascus and Beirut and dozens of deaths in Nigeria, Libya and Pakistan.

Bali:New Years Eve Terror threat

Bali New Year terrorist attack warning

Xanthe Kleinig and wires
Daily Telegraph
December 31, 2009

THE US embassy in Indonesia on Thursday said it had received warning of a New Year terrorist attack from the governor of the resort island of Bali, the scene of multiple bombings targeting Westerners.

"There is an indication of an attack to Bali tonight," it said in a statement to US citizens carried on its website, quoting a message from Governor Mangku Pastika.

The embassy said the Bali Tourism Board had widely distributed the governor's message, which added: "Please don't panic, but put your security system to full alert."

The embassy said the message had been "shared verbatim for your information" but added that standard consular safety and security recommendations "remain valid".

Holidaymakers in Bali were on  high alert last night after warnings of a New Year's Eve terror attack.

Indonesian woman Annie Made told the Daily Telegraph last night that police were everywhere in Bali's tourist district.

"All the streets are blocked off, and the hotels. The cars can't come into Legian,'' she said.

"There are police everywhere.''

She said staff at the Bali Aussie Bar and Restaurant in Kuta was preparing for a busy evening with tourists and locals.

"There are police everywhere looking after Bali. We are all okay, we hope nothing happen tonight,'' she said.

"Happy New Year.''

A DFAT spokeswoman said the Balinese Governor, Mangku Pastika had issued a statement  of a possible terrorist attack.

"We understand this is a general warning.  Indonesian security forces are on heightened alert this holiday season, as has been the case  in past years,'' she said.

"Our travel advice for Indonesia has for some time advised Australians to "reconsider your need to travel to Indonesia, including Bali, at this time due to the very high threat of terrorist attack".''

These remind US citizens that Indonesia has been targeted by "violent elements" repeatedly since the Bali bombings of 2002 that killed 202 people, mainly foreign tourists including 88 Australians.

The embassy advises citizens to keep a "low profile" and be "vigilant and prudent at all times".

"US citizens must consider the security and safety preparedness of hotels, residences, restaurants, and entertainment or recreation venues that they frequent," it says.

Police said 7,000 security personnel including US-trained counter-terrorism units were being deployed around bars and nightclubs on Bali as the island prepared to celebrate the New Year.

Australia’s Ignoble Prime Minister at IT AGAIN?

Australians poised to buy up Florida foreclosed homes

Aussie property obsession extends to foreclosed Florida homes

ABC

30 12 09 aUSSIES BUYING mIAMI PROPERTY

A move by a major Florida county to auction foreclosed homes online has attracted potential buyers from Australia and New Zealand.

Florida's Miami-Dade County will start using the internet next month in a bid to help auction off tens of thousands of delinquent properties that have put it on the frontlines of the US foreclosure crisis.

The first auction on the website, www.miamidade.realforeclose.com, is scheduled for January 11 and will make Miami-Dade the largest of 12 Florida counties that are in the process of replacing courthouse auctions with online sales.

Lloyd McClendon, chief executive of RealAuction.com LLC, which has contracts to run the computer-based auctions across Florida, said the state is the first in the country to adopt the system allowing bidders to make offers from their home.

Mr McClendon said about 1,450 bidders had registered for Miami-Dade's online foreclosure auctions so far. Some are potential foreign-based buyers.

"We have had an increase in foreign bidders and, for some reason, especially in Australia or New Zealand," he said.

Florida had the highest rate of U.S. homes either in foreclosure or delinquent on mortgage payments throughout most of the last year, putting it at the centre of a crisis that has devastated families and communities across the United States.

The laws of most states require that property auctions take place "on the courthouse steps," Mr McClendon told

Reuters, saying Florida changed its statutes in 2008 and that he hoped California, among others, would follow soon.

Harvey Ruvin, the clerk of courts for Miami-Dade, said he hoped to see the online system increase foreclosed properties sales to about 2,000 a week from a current county-wide total of about 450.

"This is a win-win in every way and it couldn't come at a better time," Mr Ruvin told Reuters, saying Miami-Dade currently had a backlog of about 115,000 open foreclosure files.

"It is my whole approach in this office to use technology wherever I can, to serve more and more of our customers online rather than in line," he added.

"This results in tremendous savings, tremendous efficiencies all the way around.

"It's better for bidders, more convenient, you now can place a bid from anywhere and I think that will broaden the base of bidders actually to a global level rather than just to those that could make it down to a physical or courtroom sale."

I have had personal experience with the US property down turn.

I can honestly say without hesitation, that if you are an Australian looking for a quality Planed Residential Development,PRD,you will find it in Florida, USA.

My personal experience is limited to Fort Lauderdale on the East Coast and Fort Myers on the West Coast of Florida,I lived in a PRD,in Fort Myers for three months in 2008,at Botanica Lakes,it was a first class development (having said that there are even better ones to be had depending upon the thickness of your wallet) even though only partially completed during my residence there.Fort Lauderdale, East Coast,I was there for around 8 weeks in 2007,and it was nice,Its like been on the set of Miami CSI,or whatever its called, however I think it would be more expensive to buy into than Fort Myers, however check it out and compare, I liked the buzz there once I got to the end of East Sunrise Blvd and started heading south to South Beach

Fort Myers reminded me of life in Sydney Australia 20 years ago.Polite, courteous, civil, hard working, friendly people, who take pride in their environment and surroundings.

One of my fondest memories was my 5 hour (return)walk along Tree Line Av. in search of the Florida Panther,I did see some, near the Airport, but I was on the wrong (right side of the road? I forget) to take a picture of them.

Fort Myers is a very beautiful place, nice beaches, not as good as say,the Northern Beaches of Sydney, but very nice none the less.

If Sydney,Australia was blown up today I would hope I could be washed up on the beaches of Fort Myers USA, alive, and into the arms of a certain Fort Myers resident.

Fort Myers is, based upon my experience living there, a very laid back comfortable place to live in.

If any Australians reading this are cashed up enough to swoop up some real estate bargains,my advice would be to go for it, but CHECK IT OUT 100% BEFORE You put pen to paper, you know, just like you would if you were buying a property in Australia.

'Honour killing': father beat daughter in face with club

SMH
December 30, 2009 - 6:25AM

A 50-year-old Turkish man was jailed for life in Germany on Tuesday over the brutal "honour killing" of his 20-year-old daughter, a murder carried out together with the victim's twin brother.

Gulsum Semin's brother was sentenced to nine-and-a-half years behind bars, while a 32-year-old Russian accomplice was given seven-and-a-half years by the court in Kleve, western Germany, a spokeswoman said.

The young woman, who had recently had an abortion, was lured to a patch of wasteland on March 2 where her brother and the accomplice strangled her with a cord and beat her in the face with a club and a tree branch, the court found.

The father, who was not named, was found to be the main instigator.

Strange “Religion” this Islam, the more vile and despicable a followers behaviour the more Honourable and closer to this “allah” they become.

I guess when your “prophet” was a Paedophile Slave Trading Head Hunter its understandable.

Labor Party fundraiser Robert Paul McJannett arrested in Bali on Drug charges

CFMEU official Robert Paul McJannett on Bali drug charges

By Cindy Wockner and Komang Suriadi in Bali and Janet Fife-Yeomans in Sydney
The Daily Telegraph
December 30, 2009

Robert Paul McJannett is taken away by an Indonesian policeman after being arrested for drugs at a Bali airport.

29 12 09 Robert Paul McJannett  Surely this is all a big mistake? An Australian Labor Party fundraiser, and Unionist accused of possession and importing  DRUGS in Bali? For God’s sake man say it ain’t so!!!! one of the custodeons of Australia’s Moral Compass a member of the Australian Council of Trade Unions,ACTU,accused of such a crime? Please someone tell me I have awoken after too much Christmas cheer and am befuddled and confused? No?

I am sure Comrade Kevin 07 Rudd and the Australian Labor Party will be able to sort out this obvious mistake made here by the Bali Police and this good servant of the ALP and the CFMEU will be able to continue on with his holiday unhindered by any further mistakes been made by the authorities.

AN Australian union leader faces a lengthy stint in an Indonesian jail after allegedly trying to smuggle just 2g of marijuana hidden in a sock into Bali.

CFMEU official Robert Paul McJannett was arrested early yesterday at Bali's airport and is now in custody at the holiday island's police headquarters, being interrogated about the drugs found in his luggage.

The marijuana was allegedly in a plastic ziplock bag hidden in a sock along with sachets of coffee. Coffee is used to disguise the smell of drugs.

McJannett may be sent to Kerobokan jail, where Schapelle Corby, who was arrested in similar circumstances, and the heroin gang dubbed the Bali Nine, are held.

As he was transferred in handcuffs from the airport Customs office to the police station yesterday, McJannett, 48, asked why the "paparazzi" were photographing him.

McJannett, a Perth crane operator who this year challenged for leadership of the West Australian branch of the CFMEU, arrived in Bali with his 21-year-old son on Virgin flight 4172 about 11.30pm on Monday.

The pair had planned a five-day holiday in the popular resort island.

But when Customs officers searched McJannett's suitcase they allegedly found the 2g of marijuana.

Bagus Endro, the head of Customs investigations at Ngurah Rai airport, said an X-ray of McJannett's suitcase had raised suspicions because the tin foil had shown up.

Mr Endro said that when McJannett was initially approached he had refused to open the small bag containing the drugs.

He allegedly later claimed a business partner may have wanted to trap him.

The Customs official said McJannett had initially refused a urine test and had made a failed attempt to throw the drug into a drain in the detention room.

Under Indonesia's harsh drug laws, McJannett is likely to face charges of possession and importing drugs, which carry a sentence of up to 10 years behind bars.

He is the latest in a long line of Australians who have found themselves on the wrong side of Indonesia's drug regime after being arrested on Bali.

Former Gold Coast beauty therapy student Schapelle Corby is serving a 20-year sentence after being arrested with 4.1kg of marijuana in her luggage as she came into Bali.

Three members of the Bali Nine are currently on death row for their roles in an 8.2kg heroin haul.

Other Australian tourists arrested with small amounts of drugs while holidaying in Bali have served terms of up to six months for drug possession.

Could this be Schapelle Corby’s revenge upon the ACTU?

Were the drugs his or his son’s and is he just taking the fall ?

Either way there are, unless Beijing’s man on the ground in Australia, and the ACTU’s #1 member,Australian PM  Kevin 07 Rudd, can make a few phone calls to his new best friends in Indonesia, many tears before bed time to be shed by Robert Paul McJannett and his Family and his fellow ALP /ACTU Comrades before this “arrest mistake” is sorted out.

Good Luck Bob you are gonna NEED IT.
