Sydney Australia, Labor's Malmo in the Pacific?

80 asylum seekers housed in Sydney uni

By Nathan Klein
The Daily Telegraph
February 22, 2013 9:22AM

RADIO announcer Ray Hadley has called on the Federal Government for a detailed report and explanation after he revealed 80 asylum seekers have been living inside the grounds of a Sydney university.

On his radio show this morning, Hadley said approximately 80 Sri Lankan men were living at student accommodation inside Macquarie University.

"I don’t have too much respect for Swedish girls. I guess you can say they get f****d to pieces.”

"In the grounds of the university there are two dorm buildings housing young women - those dorms are surrounded by the dormitories containing the 80 Sri Lankan men,'' Hadley said.

"According to people I've spoken to at the university, the young women feel both intimdated and frightened by having the men in close proximity. Some are in fact scared and conveyed that to police officers on the scene yesterday.''

NSW Police today confirmed officers were investigating reports a man indecently assaulted a female university student while she was sleeping in her dormitory.

Detectives have been told a 20-year-old woman was asleep in her dormitory when a man broke into her room and indecently assaulted her about 3.20am yesterday.

The woman awoke during the incident and the man fled the scene.

The man is described as 20-25 years old, thin build, dark skinned, with dark short curly hair. He was wearing no t-shirt and a pair of grey coloured tracksuit pants.

Hadley has called on the Immigration Department to provide a report into why the university was doubling as "some sort of a Quasi detention centre".

If they can pay big bucks to come here then they are not refugees. Why should we suffer. The money the gov has spent on the boat people could be spent on improving our roads and hospitals. Wake up Aust we are being ripped off.

Gillard and co have brought this situation about, they're responsible for encouraging illegal entry to Australia, pandering to the wannabe asylum-seekers and wasting huge amounts of our money on them. It's now just going to get worse and Labor don't care as they'll pass on the problem to Abbott and then criticise him when he can't fix up the mess they made. It's always the same. Labor gets us in dire straits and leaves the Liberals to try and clean up. One thing's for sure, it won't be Gillard's daughter who gets attacked nor her kids sent overseas to risk their lives and to fight unwinnable wars.

Round them all up, send them all back. It's that bloody simple! Who cares what the United Nations says or what the leftie activists say. This is not on. At the rate all these people arrive by boat and flock to large cities - that cannot handle the influx - the fact that they won't have enough money or skills or resources will mean rises in petty crime as well. Australia should look to the disasters of illegal immigration and the outcome in Europe. Greece being a prime example, with the influx of illegals exceeding the hundreds of thousands and the crime rate, which incidentally has given rise to extreme groups or anti illegal immigration groups like Golden Dawn.

First they are housing asylum seekers in retirement / nursing homes when there are so many homeless Australians living on the streets. Now they are housing them at our Uni's, instead of letting our kids use the rooms (which they would be paying for). What is it going to take before the Government fixes this.... Reduce the processing time of asylum seekers, house them in appropriate (secure) housing and don't house them together in large groups. If the Government considers them save enough to be release into the public, then they can be housed in small groups or with families from their own country. Stop putting the Australian public at risk..............

This is just another example of the abject failure the present federal governmenst policy that Australians have been saddled with. The legacy of this failure will be with us for ever and the economic cost will be crushing. The current prime minister and her party will lose the upcoming election in a landslide backlash....she will retire from politics on her indexed pension for life of $495,000 pa, plus perks and we, the mugs, will be left with the social and economic disaster.

Imagine if we treated our homeless and underprivileged and elderly as well as we treat asylum seekers. The government should impose a cap on how many they take in each year, once the caps met all others are turned away back to where they came from.

Madame Gillard appoints a her very own "TwoFa" Nova Peris Kneebone to NT Senate ... Election I hear you say what's that ?

Former Olympian Nova Peris to run for Labor in NT seat in the Federal Senate

Jessica Marszalek
Daily Telegraph
January 22, 201312:12PM

PRIME Minister Julia Gillard Gillard faces a fight to get former Olympian Nova Peris into the Senate, with current NT Senator Trish Crossin speaking out against the decision to replace her.

Ms Peris will stand for Labor at the upcoming election, with Julia Gillard declaring the party needs an indigenous representative in the Federal Parliament.

If successful Ms Peris will be the first Aboriginal woman to hold a seat in federal parliament.

The Prime Minister personally selected the Aboriginal athlete for preselection as a senate candidate in the NT in a decision that has upset Labor's serving senator, Trish Crossin.

Ms Gillard said she had engaged "in a captain's pick'' in endorsing the Olympic hockey gold medallist over Senator Crossin.

"There has never been an indigenous Australian who has served as a federal Labor representative,'' she said.

"I'm determined that at the 2013 election we change that.''

Asked about Senator Crossin's fate, Ms Gillard said she stood by the "tough decision''.

But Senator Crossin immediately hit out, declaring the decision had been taken without consultation or negotiation with the NT branch of the ALP "or my input as the long-serving federal Labor Senator for the NT''.

"It has been my long held belief that preselection should always be a matter for NT Labor branch members to decide,'' she said in a statement.

But Ms Gillard said it was a matter of national significance for the Labor Party to put forward an indigenous Australian in a winnable position at a federal election.

"I am not going to make it routine for me to intervene in party processes,'' Ms Gillard said.

"I am a big respecter of party processes, but I think there is a national significance here for our political party.''

No surprise Corssin supported Le Kewen aka, Kevin 07 Rudd in the Gillard led leadership spill. She is not happy at been dumped by Gillard, cant wait to see her described as a Misogynist Racist Red Neck Hill Billy by Madame Gillard and the Sista Hood
She said it was a similar situation to when the party had undertaken affirmative action to see more women elected to federal parliament.

"If you believe as I do fundamentally that merit is distributed equitably across the population, across genders, across races then if you are looking at an outcome where you can see lots of men or not many indigenous Australians, then people of merit are missing out,'' she said.

"This is a moment when our whole political party needs to look at it too so that we are joined by an indigenous Australian in our federal Labor caucus.''

Ms Peris thanked the prime minister for the "amazing opportunity" to stand for Labor pre-selection for a Northern Territory seat in the senate.

"I stand here before you all today not only as an Australian but also as a proud Aboriginal woman, proud of my heritage and culture," Ms Peris said.

I certainly understand the significance of this opportunity, and I am very honoured and humbled by this, prime minister."

She said she was first approached to stand for parliament about seven to eight years ago.

"My two young kids babies at the time ... I didn't think I was ready. To be put into a position where you have a voice for Aboriginal Australians I thought I had to do a lot of work," she said.

Ms Peris attributed the CLP victory at last year's NT poll to hard work by the CLP and Labor taking their eye off the mark.

But she said that was now unravelling for the CLP.

"As an Aboriginal woman I have seen and I've been around the ropes long and hard enough to know that Aboriginal people have been disappointed with government for a long time, hence the intervention," she said.

"I was in the midst of that and I saw firsthand that you can have policies but if you don't have the right people implementing it, it's never going to work."

Ms Peris said she was proud, honoured and humbled to be part of Labor.

"We are working very hard to win the next election and get the right people working," she said.

Ms Gillard said Ms Peris was a household name and many remembered her sporting triumphs, winning an olympic gold medal in hockey at the 1996 games.

"What they show is grit and determination to get things done and I am very admiring of that grit and determination," she said.

"I believe Nova will make a great contribution in the federal parliament for the Labor Party for the Northern Territory and for the nation, not just because of that grit and determination but because of the work she has done since her sporting career on building opportunities for young Australians."

Was Nova Really Surprised ?

Where to now...

After turning the big 40 and whilst working in the Kimberley last year, I reflected on my past achievements and experiences. It had dawned on me and it seemed just a natural thing to do, and that was to now spend the next decade of my life using it to give back, pass on the stories that enabled me to pick myself up time and time again. There is a quote I am now consciously aware of and live my life by and that is "For as much is given, much is expected".

I have now realised that I have lived my life in decades, 0-10 dreaming as a kid, 10-20 education and realisation that i could live my dreams. 20-30yrs 60 Countries and living my sporting dreams. 30-40 two more kids, a grandchild and 110 communities around Australia, mentoring and promoting better health and education to my people. So now i am embarking on a new phase of life.....Stay Tuned...!!!

Greece, Spain, Portugal, Italy, the USA a story of betrayal

Why we're following US towards a dangerous debt with destiny

Jeff Kennett
The Daily Telegraph
January 10, 2013 12:00AM

AS you read this column today my wife Felicity and I will be returning to Australia, having spent three weeks in the US. In New York, Boston and Washington.

It has been a wonderful experience. The extraordinary bustle and energy that is New York, where every language and colour fill the streets. The sights, the theatres, the shopping, the restaurants and the sounds. Simply electric.

But more significant than the sites we visited has been the opportunity to observe the failure of the politicians, the President of the US, the Congress made up of the House of Representatives and the Senate, dealing with the issues surrounding the "fiscal cliff".

The cliff was a political device created in 1917 in an attempt to control the nation's level of debt. Until recently gaining support from both houses of Congress for increasing the debt has not been an issue, as debt levels have

been manageable. But that has not been the case in recent years. US debt stands at $16 trillion. That is about 106 times our Australian debt of $150 billion.

Under President Barack Obama, US debt has risen from just under $10 trillion when he was elected four years ago by a massive 60 per cent to the $16 trillion the country owes today.

The US fiscal cliff had two inbuilt components which, unless legislators acted, would have automatically become law on January 1, 2013 - substantially higher taxes to generate extra revenue, and a range of expenditure cuts to attempt to stop the growth of the deficit.

Legislators have had two years notice of the December 31, 2012, deadline - yet did nothing until the last week. After a lot of political manoeuvring the Senate and house agreed to what I would call a totally unsatisfactory, in fact cowardly, outcome. A rise in some taxes for those with incomes above $400,000, or $450,000 for couples, some other small income increases, and absolutely no cuts in government expenditure.

In fact, with other new government spending commitments adding $4 trillion to US debt over the next few years, the US economy is going backwards. Within the next two months the president and the legislators will have to return their attention to dealing with the debt ceiling when it reaches its legislated $16.4 trillion limit. If the cost of government programs is not reassessed and reduced, the US is heading for a debt level of $22-24 trillion in four years. That would make the Obama administration the most economically disastrous in American history, with frightening ramifications.

What I have witnessed is the greatest demonstration of a failure of leadership, from the president down.

Never have I seen the philosophy of spending your way out of debt work.

We did not do it in Victoria in the 1990s, nor has Canada nor Turkey. Latvia has not done so in rebuilding its economy.

Greece, Spain, Portugal, Italy, the UK to some extent, and clearly the US, are clearly trying to do so - printing more of their currency to get through the next few years without addressing the fundamental reasons for their current economic condition.

They are spending more on recurrent expenditure than they are raising from taxes and charges. Each of these countries are living beyond their means.

A day of economic reckoning will come for them all, and it will not be pleasant.

What is the principal lesson I have learnt from this trip in relation to Australia?

Our economic position is not nearly as bad as the US, at present, but the mentality of our politicians, and we the public, is exactly the same.

We are not accepting any sense of responsibility for our economic and social future.

We are over-governed, we demand and seek too many entitlements from governments, our politicians think short-term, and electoral popularity is more important than electoral responsibility.

It is time for greater accountability and responsibility by all of us. Read the tea leaves, here and in the US!

To ignore the experiences of the US, Greece and Spain, in the belief their economic challenges cannot develop here in Australia, could be the greatest act of hubris of our generation.

Australia Day Race Riot HUCKSTER and Unions ACT Secretary, brands Tony Abbott ".. a raving Zionist"

Unions ACT  secretary and Australia Day 2012 Race Riot organizer Kim Sattler tells Islamic Terrorism supporters

"Abbott a raving Zionist",Gaza rally told

Yahoo7
Updated November 24, 2012, 5:22 pm

Another facet of Opposition Leader Tony Abbott's student activist days has surfaced with a speaker at a pro-Palestine rally in Canberra declaring him a "raving Zionist".

Unions ACT Secretary Kim Sattler
Speaking at a rally outside the Israeli embassy in Canberra, Unions ACT secretary Kim Sattler said she was a student activist involved in the Australian Unions of Students (AUS), serving as a delegate to the AUS conference in Melbourne in 1974.

That gathering debated the proposal for a delegation of the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO) to visit Australia.

At the time the PLO group was classified a terrorist organisation, although its offshoot, Fatah, which now rules the West Bank, is more favourably regarded than Hamas, which rules Gaza.

Ms Sattler said the AUS vote backed hearing from the PLO.

"Guess who was on the other side at that time - Tony Abbott," she said.

"That was my first introduction to Tony Abbott and I've been his enemy ever since."

Ms Sattler said Mr Abbott had no Jewish heritage, although she did.

"He is a raving Zionist and has been since he was about 18 or 19. I don't understand why he is, but he is," she said.

Ms Sattler said those who backed the PLO visit were beaten with rolled up newspapers and umbrellas and spat upon during the course of the conference.

She said this made a big impact on her as a 17-year-old activist.

"Thanks to Tony, I have been an avowed Palestine supporter ever since," she said.

In the 1970s, Mr Abbott was a student activist strongly opposed to left domination of student politics.

Earlier this year, journalist David Marr recounted a 1977 incident in which Mr Abbott allegedly sought to intimidate a female student who beat him in a university election by punching a wall on either side of her head. Mr Abbott has repeatedly denied this happened.

Who IS Kim Sattler, and like her fellow Socialist Labor Emilys list "sista", Australian PM, Julia Gillard can you believe a word she or PM Julia say about anything ?

So does Kim tell lies or does Julia tell lies? or has the Labor friendly Macquarie Dictionary rewritten the meaning of lies and truth to accommodate Kim and Julia's "truths" / "Lies" ? are they both telling the truth or both telling lies in this Union GetUp funded Socialist Green Loon Independent "Co Party" Governments Utopia and Workers/ Bludgers / Insurgents Paradise called Australia?

Prime Minister Julia Gillard denies knowing unions Kim Sattler

Mitchell Toy
Sunday Herald Sun
January 29, 2012 12:00AM

SHE'S the Labor true believer the Prime Minister's press adviser called when he wanted to politically damage Tony Abbott.

Unions ACT secretary Kim Sattler, outed yesterday as staffer Tony Hodges' contact at the Tent Embassy protest, was always going to rally to the cause.

A Left-wing activist who fronted at a pro-carbon tax event last year and who sits on the board of the National Museum of Labour, Ms Sattler helps oversee 24 ACT unions with more than 30,000 members.

In a profile for a Canberra networking group she lists union darlings Joan Kirner, Sharon Burrow and Ged Kearney as her inspiration.

Kim Sattler's "Inspiration"
When Mr Hodges could not contact the ACT Indigenous Affairs Minister, he was told Ms Sattler was the next go-to woman.

But the Prime Minister, a former union head, denied links with Ms Sattler as it emerged Mr Hodges gave her information about Tony Abbott's location moments before the ugly Australia Day riot.

Ms Gillard yesterday said she did not know Ms Sattler, who was previously not widely known outside her ACT stamping ground.

Kim Sattler (l) Julia Gillard (r) Ms Gillard, said yesterday,28 Jan 2012,said she did not know Ms Sattler,

An image added to Ms Sattler's Facebook page in 2007 shows her with Ms Gillard apparently at a function for Emily's List - a Left-leaning group promoting progressive women's political careers.

Another image shows her with former Victorian premier Joan Kirner, while one picture, believed to have been taken overseas, appears to show Ms Sattler with a gun.

Yesterday morning, Ms Sattler berated Mr Abbott through the social network, saying he played a role in the violence.

"Tony Abbot is like your typical bar-room brawler, who starts a fight and then disappears like a coward when it is in full swing," she wrote.
We know she was there watching the events she and Julia Gillard set in motion unfold, does this Arse Clown think she is the only one with a camera ? the eye witness accounts and TV News Video and press photo accounts of the facts, are in stark contrast to her version of Australia Day 26 Jan 2012

Ms Sattler yesterday confirmed she called the Australian Federal Police into her office at 1.30pm on Friday and informed them she had been the one who passed on the location of Mr Abbott to protesters.

Kim Sattler (left of picture holding what appears to be a phone / camera)

On Thursday, Ms Sattler posted a photo, taken on her iPhone, of the crowd engulfing the medal ceremony and added the comment, "Tony Abbott just announced the Tent Embassy should be closed down and a huge crowd from the Embassy went to greet him and he had to be rushed away with a police escort!"

The Facebook profile was suspended yesterday after Ms Gillard named Ms Sattler as the Tent Embassy contact of her former adviser (Hodges).

Ms Gillard said it was "very very likely" she had been at the same events in Canberra as Ms Sattler, but flatly denied a connection.

What's the deal with Socialist's,Socialist "Wimmin" in particular, and their propensity for not been able to tell the truth of just about anything?

Labor's personal campaign against Tony Abbott is working.

Labor's negativity pays off in the short run

Dennis Shanahan, Political Editor
The Australian
November 13, 2012 12:00AM

LABOR'S personal campaign against Tony Abbott is working.

In one of the true ironies of modern political campaigning, a relentlessly negative and obsessive campaign is being run to portray an opponent as relentlessly negative and obsessive.

In an unprecedented concentration on a leader of the opposition, the Gillard government has determinedly sought to make Abbott the centre of the story, the man in the middle, and has talked more about him than its own achievements or record.

Abbott's obsession with forcing an early election and prosecuting the highly negative case against the carbon tax the Prime Minister promised not to introduce has contributed to his highly negative profile with voters. His satisfaction rating among voters is now the worst it has been.

Yet Abbott's character hasn't changed - he's no more sexist or old-fashioned than he was in December 2009 and he has not unveiled any controversial policies of late. Indeed, he's hardly unveiled any policy at all.

Hence, Labor's strategy of declaring a gender war with Abbott as the main target has worked on his personal support and fitted neatly with Labor's recent rise from its doldrums of despair.

Heading into an election year, it's a dangerous and trying time for Abbott as Opposition Leader, but he still has the advantage of being able to point to a primary vote giving the Coalition an election-winning lead. And he still has positive policy announcements ahead of him.

For an opposition leader, that remains a powerful claim despite the clear success of Labor's personal campaign against him.

Macquarie Radio Network Announcement -

Sunday, October 7, 2012

Macquarie Radio Network Limited ("MRN"), the owner of radio station 2GB, today announced a temporary suspension of all advertising in its top rating weekday Breakfast Show hosted by Alan Jones.

The move follows a week of unprecedented focus throughout mainstream and social media on Jones and remarks he made recently at a private function regarding Prime Minister Julia Gillard and the loss of her father. More specifically, the move has been prompted by actions being taken and threatened against companies advertising on the Alan Jones Breakfast Show.

Announcing the suspension of advertising, MRN Executive Chairman Russell Tate said, "the nature, tone and volume of the reaction to Jones’ remarks, and in particular the threats being made through social media to companies advertising in Jones' program and the disruption being caused to their businesses, have made it necessary for MRN to call some 'time out".

"Some simple facts need to be acknowledged.

"There is almost universal agreement that Jones' remarks were unacceptable, wrong and inexcusable. Alan himself acknowledged that from the moment he first advised me of them. He immediately arranged a media conference to state that publicly and apologise to the Prime Minister.

"Although the remarks were not made on 2GB, our position from the outset has been that a personal, unconditional apology was a necessary and appropriate response. I encouraged Alan to repeat the apology on 2GB when he first returned to air last Tuesday morning following his media conference. His apology was unambiguous and unconditional. He has revisited his apology many times in subsequent broadcasts.

"Alan Jones' audience, those who listen regularly to his program, also agree that his remarks were unacceptable. From Research we have conducted over this weekend with them, it is also clear though the great majority acknowledge his apology and have not significantly changed their attitude towards the Alan Jones Breakfast Show.

"Nor importantly is there any indication from regular listeners that their attitudes towards companies advertising in the program has changed adversely.

“Since we now know these things to be fact, we have to conclude that the avalanche of telephone, email and facebook demands to our advertisers to “boycott” the Alan Jones Breakfast Show, and the threats to destroy their businesses if they don’t comply, are coming almost entirely from people who do not listen to Alan Jones or 2GB at all – probably never have done and never will.

"Now in Australia these people of course have the right to express their views to anybody who wants to listen, about any subject they want, including Alan Jones and his radio show. They also have the right and plenty of choice; freedom of choice, to listen to any of the hundreds, in this digital age, thousands of radio programs available to them.

"What they do not have the right to do is on the one hand decide for our listeners who and what they are going to hear on the radio station they choose to listen to, and on the other hand decide for Australian based companies which media outlets they will or won’t use to advertise their products and services. They do not have the right to interfere with freedom of choice and they do not have the right to attempt to censor – not Alan Jones, not this radio network, not the people who choose to listen to it and not the companies who choose to advertise on it.

“What we are seeing here is 21st Century censorship, via cyber-bullying.

"As a talk-station we openly advocate debate. Talk radio is arguably the original form of social media. The difference between 2GB and some catchy URL is that MRN operates in a regulated media environment.

"We hold ourselves, and are held, to account on many levels. We operate within a long established regulatory guidelines and rules. We’re accountable to the regulatory authorities for our license to operate; to our listeners who have the freedom to leave us any time they want; to our advertisers who will leave us if our listeners do; to our shareholders who will show staff and management the door when the advertisers disappear.

“We are happy to listen to any constructive criticism of what we are doing. We do it every day, often live on-air. But strangely we have heard very little on this issue from the same social media groups which are attempting to destroy the companies who have the hide to advertise with the highest rating radio station in Sydney. All of their focus is destructive. They are simply making life as difficult as possible for the staff of companies whose crime apparently is advertising on Sydney’s highest rating breakfast radio show.

“How hard is it to work out that those companies do not choose to advertise in the Alan Jones Breakfast Show because they agree with all of his views and everything he says. They advertise in the Show only because they want to engage with the massive audience who listens to him – an audience which has dominated the ratings in the Sydney market for over a decade. An audience which chooses to listen and an audience which, if and when it decides it has had enough of Alan Jones and goes somewhere else, will be closely followed by those same companies.

“We have taken this unprecedented decision to suspend advertising in the Alan Jones Breakfast Show until further notice so that all of our advertisers are on an equal footing, can regroup and discuss with us the way forward and how we together deal with these attempts to damage great Australian businesses. We’ll be doing that over the next week or so and I would personally also welcome discussion with representatives of the organisations behind the totally unwarranted pressure being put on our advertisers. But any discussion will need to be face to face, not hiding behind a keyboard.

“The decision obviously comes at a very significant short term cost to MRN. It is an insignificant price to pay for our audience to be able to listen to what they choose to listen to, and for Australian companies to advertise where they choose to advertise.”

Alan Jones loses his Merc

JONATHAN MARSHALL AND JORDAN BAKER
The Sunday Telegraph

MERCEDES-BENZ will confiscate Alan Jones's $250,000 sponsored car, and has vowed to never again support the controversial broadcaster or his radio station 2GB.

The carmaker expressed its strong distaste at Jones's comment, revealed last week by The Sunday Telegraph, that Prime Minister Julia Gillard's father, John Gillard, "died of shame" because of "lies" told by his daughter.

"We want the car back, the deal is cancelled, it is over," Mercedes-Benz's corporate communications manager, David McCarthy, said.

If the car is not returned, Mercedes will send someone to repossess it.

Mercedes-Benz Australia-Pacific, owned by the Daimler Group, distanced itself from Jones and has cancelled all radio advertising .

The Sunday Telegraph revealed last weekend Jones told a Sydney University Liberal Club dinner on September 22 that the prime minister's 83-year-old father, John, "died of shame".

"We were appalled and shocked at the lack of respect (the comments) expressed," Mr McCarthy said.

Now the company has informed Jones it wants him to return the black 2012 S-Class Mercedes the broadcaster has been driving free.

Should the vehicle not be returned by October 31, a Mercedes-Benz representative would collect it, he said.

The Sunday Telegraph understands Jones had been able to use the expensive vehicle as part of a sponsorship agreement with 2GB's owner, Macquarie Radio.Mercedes-Benz bosses have ditched advertising on Jones's show and across the station.

"We have terminated ALL (sic) commercial arrangements with 2GB," the company said in a statement. "We cannot see a circumstance that will see us returning to advertising (on Jones's) show."

Mr McCarthy refused to reveal how much the deal with 2GB was worth, other than to say: "It's now worth a lot less than it was a week ago."

Macquarie is offering discount rates for new advertisers, and has emailed subscribers asking if they have changed their opinion of 2GB and its sponsors, many of whom have dumped the station and Jones.

"During the last week, has your attitude towards companies that advertise on the Alan Jones Breakfast Show changed?" the survey asked.

Macquarie has told at least one agency it would discount standard rates by at least 15 per cent. Advertisements on his show usually sell for $1170 and live reads for $3300.

More than 70 companies have backed away and shares in Macquarie Radio crashed this week amid estimates that the boycott could cost millions.

A spokesman for Macquarie Radio refused to comment.

Jones is still in demand as a speaker, with a spokeswoman for Saxton Speakers saying no bookings were cancelled. Jones charges about $12,000 per speaking engagement.

A Facebook blitz on sponsors has more than 11,000 "likes", with users bombarding advertisers with emails.

Jenna Price from the Destroy the Joint movement named after Jones's claim women such as Sydney Lord Mayor Clover Moore were "destroying the joint" - said one sponsor got 4000 emails.

Staff at 2GB told activists the boycott would hurt young employees, not Jones.

Shares in 2GB fell six per cent last week.

Alan Jones Replies at last a conservative defends himself

At last a Conservative takes the time to Defend themselves

However in my opinion Gillard is everything and more Jones has accused her of been.
Her Father would have died with a smile on his face knowing that JulIAR was implementing their shared Socialist agenda upon their adopted Country, Australia in the true cloth cap class war that Wales is INfamous for.
Go back to the Fucking Coal Mine ya Socialist Pricks nothing to see here in Australia.
Jones has nothing to apologise for apart from holding back.

The MSM need to dispose of Jones, for once they have done so,.
the MSM will have an unchallanged monopoly on their Socialist agenda

An apology tempered by anger

Alan Jones
The Daily Telegraph
 October 01, 2012 12:00AM

WHEN I repeated last Saturday week, at a private dinner of the Sydney University Liberal Club, a comment I had heard only hours before at a birthday party for one of my godsons, as I said yesterday, I was wrong.

Prime Minister Julia Gillard was entitled to an apology, which I publicly offered and repeated yesterday.

My attempts to deliver it personally to her were in vain.

She declined to take my call.

The comments which should not be repeated here were in bad taste.

But party talk of the prime minister's untruths is a measure of real anger out there about Gillard's persistent and unapologetic breach of public trust.

On top of the carbon tax and asylum seeker broken promises, the taxpayer now sees ballooning debt.

And after endlessly talking about the necessity of a floor price for carbon dioxide emissions, come 2015, suddenly everything said in the past means nothing.

The consequences for revenue of this latest about face are mammoth.

The compensation package to taxpayers will remain as if the carbon dioxide price were $29 a tonne.

But the revenue will be based on a price set in Brussels, perhaps as low as $8 a tonne.

It doesn't add up.

But to the Gillard government, it doesn't seem to matter. You see, even the term carbon pollution reduction scheme is an untruth.

It's CO2 that is being taxed not carbon.

And CO2 is not a pollutant.

These are some of the issues I addressed at the dinner last Saturday week in a private room at the Waterfront Restaurant in Sydney, in a

58-minute speech I delivered without notes.

It was a typically under-graduate evening.

Everyone, as we say in Aussie lingo, copped a serve.

The jokes and the songs were all, understandably, about a Labor government which has not only dishonoured promises on so many issues, but also has stood democracy on its head by telling the voting public what it believes is good for them.

I rose to speak at 10.10pm in this atmosphere.

Wrongly, I repeated the offending remarks.

And there could be no justification for that.

That said, there are other issues at work here.

A person, apparently a journalist, represented himself to the organisers as a Liberal student and paid the Liberal student entry fee, but he's not a student.

He registered for the evening with an email address which concealed the fact that he was a journalist.

And without notifying or seeking approval from the organisers or the speakers, he apparently taped the speech.

Where the Listening Devices Act fits in relation to such behaviour is interesting.

But if people at private dinner parties have to wonder whether someone is secretly taping proceedings for reproduction to any media outlet that

wants them, then it seems that no one is safe on a Saturday night from details of the evening being later revealed.

That does not mean that comments made privately or publicly should be such as to give offence to another, should those comments be made public. But I wonder if such reporting behaviour occurred at a Labor Party dinner, what the response might have been.

What is more, only last week, the wife of a federal government minister tweeted to the extent that Alan Jones won't have to be endured for much longer as the average age that males live to in Australia is such that he won't be with us for long.

Or words to that effect.

Nice stuff.

And the social media yesterday were wishing my cancers to return, except this time, the hope was expressed that they should finish the job.

I'm not complaining and I'm not suggesting anyone should run to my defence.

What I am suggesting is that some seem to practise the standards they selectively condemn.

As I soon as I learnt my comments would have made their way to the Prime Minister, I determined I must apologise. And I say again, I sought neither to reflect on Mr John Gillard, the Prime Minister's father, nor to dismiss the grief that any daughter feels for the death of her father.

I said yesterday that I have nothing but praise for the John Gillards of this world.

Mr Gillard is an emblem of all migrant fathers who came here to give their families a better life.

I will stand anywhere to deliver a eulogy to John Gillard as a father and a worker and a man. And that applies to his wife. But I will never eulogise

what Mr Gillard's daughter and her party are doing to our country.

The public know what is happening and they are angry.

And when they are lied to on grocery watch, fuel watch, carbon tax, asylum seekers, a carbon tax floor price and debt; to say nothing of four young men losing their lives in a pink batts fiasco these issues, amongst others, are the basis for that anger.

I addressed all these issues at the Liberal Club function.

I should never have included in my remarks the words rightly attributed to me.

But if only some of the trenchant criticism directed towards me is inspired by a ruthless determination to silence legitimate comment and condemnation of government policy, then just as comments which strike at the grief of a daughter for her father should be condemned, so too should be condemned the widespread efforts by the Gillard government, and Julia Gillard herself, to silence or punish anyone who dares to
articulate one political certainty that this may be the worst and least trustworthy government in Australian history.
