Ban the Burqa

Apologies for throwing a spanner into the Islamic victim hood narrative here, but neither "Islam" or "Muslim" are races of people. Islam is a belief system and its followers are called Muslims (amongst many other things)
This is a simple security issue, trying to protect terrorists by elevating their political and "religious" beliefs to a "race" of people has worked so far and has enabled these self declared Islamic / Muslim Killers/Terrorists/ "man made disaster makers" to get away with anything they choose in the knowledge that they have an army of apologist and spin doctors in the Multicultural Industry, salivating over the opportunity to defend their vile actions and intent.

PM turns his failure into a $1 billion disaster

By Andrew Bolt
The Daily Telegraph
April 14, 2010

KEVIN Rudd spent his first two years in power smashing stuff.

Now, in this election year, he's spending up to $1 billion of your money to fix the damage.

That's right: Rudd is spending at least $1 billion to fix the havoc he's unleashed by handing out free insulation, splurging on overpriced school buildings, relaxing boat people laws, letting in an unsustainable 300,000 people a year - and more.

Oh, I know. You think I'm far too hard on a PM with the air of a particularly methodical Christian dentist. But one disillusioned day you will hear from many who now work with him that how Rudd seems is bizarrely different to how he is.

I don't just mean that this prissy churchgoer is privately a foul-mouthed, arrogant and paranoid control freak, but that many of his brightest ideas swiftly flop.

The truth is his skill at spinning has so far saved Rudd's reputation as a manager.

But check the substance rather than the image and you find he already qualifies as possibly the most incompetent prime minister since World War II.

And, no, I haven't forgotten Whitlam.

Take Monday's announcement that his Government will spend another $14 million on a taskforce to tackle the massive rorting of its $16.2 billion school stimulus scheme.

This so-called "Building the Education Revolution" spendathon was always destined to be a colossal waste.

But even I couldn't predict the rorting.

In NSW builders have charged $800,000 a time for more than 40 covered outdoor learning areas which state government costings say should have cost $250,000 each.

In Victoria, even a dying school with just two children was given $150,000, and from everywhere came complaints that BER developers were charging "management fees" of up to 21 per cent.

That's all your money, folks. Blown in what some now call the Builders' Early Retirement fund. Now the Government is spending even more of your money - $14 million - on a taskforce to stop the looting of what's left of our $16.2 billion.

Or to seem to.

Why did Deputy Prime Minister Julia Gillard only now announce this "safeguard" when it's been clear for months that your taxes were being wasted like never before in our history?

Three reasons, all squalid.

First, Sunday Night on Channel Seven last weekend ran a devastating report on this scandal. Second, it's election year, and a taskforce makes you seem you're dealing with the problem.

Sunday Night “Building Education Revolution” report.

And third, although Gillard refuses to admit it, she has an advance report on this BER racket from the Auditor-General that is likely to be devastating, and it's a fair bet she set up her taskforce to short-circuit the criticism she'll get when it's released.

This BER rorting is the biggest Rudd waste so far. But the more graphic symbol is his free insulation scheme.

Rudd barged ahead even after his own department was warned in writing a year ago that rushing out these freebies could attract shysters, burn houses and kill people.

It all happened, as Rudd was warned, with four installers dead, 120 homes set on fire and more than 300,000 homes fitted with potentially lethal or near-useless junk.

To fix the disaster and compensate the losers, the Government may now have to spend anything up to $1 billion. It also means taxpayers must pay millions to take out insulation that Rudd made them pay millions to put in. It couldn't get crazier.

Correction. It already has. See, Rudd meant this giveaway to "stimulate" the economy and put people in jobs. But the day before Easter (a good time to bury bad news) his government announced, in effect, that his insulation scheme had killed off the very industry he'd meant it to help.

The Government said it would now give insulation manufacturers $15 million to help them stockpile all the batts and foil they can no longer sell, now that Rudd's scheme has stuck the stuff in a million more ceilings.

Those stockpiles of unsellable batts are a clear sign that these once healthy businesses have been poleaxed. Indeed, an industry which once predicted Rudd's free insulation plan would create 4000 jobs now says its collapse has cost the jobs of 6000.

That's why Rudd has spent another $41 million of your money to help retrain the people sacked from an industry he spent billions to "stimulate".

And still this lunatic incompetence doesn't end. To fix this mess before the election, Rudd has switched his entire emissions trading team on to it.

Remember them? They're the 154 public servants Rudd originally hired to work on what until this year he called "the greatest moral, economic and social challenge of our time" - the man-made global warming he told us his great new green tax on everything would help stop.

But that tax is now blocked in the Senate, and public support for it is falling like a batt out of hell, so Rudd has put "the greatest moral, economic and social challenge of our time" on the backburner and set his $57 million-a-year team of planet-savers to work on insulation instead.

And still this comedy is not done. Rudd last weekend froze the processing of refugee applications from Sri Lanka and Afghanistan to stop the tide of boats he unleashed by weakening our boat people laws two years ago. Boat people were a problem John Howard had fixed, cutting arrivals to just 18 boats over six years. Rudd unfixed that problem by going soft, so he's now luring in more than 10 boats a month.

The Christmas Island detention centre is full and fixing this will cost hundreds of millions more of your dollars, with the 2000 people who've arrived just this year costing some $80,000 each to process.

Then there's the whole new "Department of Population" Rudd abruptly created to hose down the alarm he'd raised by not only letting in a record 300,000 immigrants last year, but by then endorsing predictions that our population will explode to 36 million by 2050.

And we still don't know how much in total we must pay for all Rudd's other failures – Fuel Watch, Grocery Watch, the scrapped tender of his first broadband scheme, the lobbying for his pan-Asian body, the botched Green Loans plan, the rorted solar hot-water scheme, the "Ideas Summit" fiasco and the new nuclear disarmament body.

More amazing is that Rudd retains the air of a man who knows just what he's doing, and is across every detail. Watch him now sell his latest multi-billion-dollar plan - a health shake-up that Ken Baxter, former head of the premier's departments in the Victoria and NSW, warns will create a bureaucratic monster that will eat money.

But look at Rudd. See how assured and competent he seems, even as his last schemes still fall around his ears?

Amazing gift, that, and you're paying billions for it.

Beijing’s highest ranking representative in Australia, Australian Prime Minister, Lu Kewen aka Kevin 07,has finally ground to a halt, he simply has run out of acronyms, bumper stickers, and babies to kiss, he is now after two years as one commentator said “haunting hospital wards” pushing his new plan for Australia’s crippled bankrupt FREE Health Care system , Medicare.

Copy of 4 4 2010 Kevin's above, he's even big in Hong Kong

Lu Kewen electioneering in Hong Kong 2007

The word has gone out for his and his party’s most loyal media cheer squad, the Australian taxpayer funded, Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) to go into damage control and try and get some positive spin on their PM by having the Messiah praising him from the White House as the Messiah’s man down under, who was so much like,of all things the Messiah himself.

America is now bankrupt, Australia is far from that however when Lu Kewen took office in November 2007 he inherited from the previous conservative Howard government a surplus of some $25 BILLION dollars a little over two years into his first term he has turned that surplus into a $300 Billion deficit.

He is with doubt the most incompetent Prime Minister in the history of the nation he and his government make the infamous far left Labor Whitlam government of the 70’s appear conservative in comparison, its no wonder Hussein Obama has such high regard for Lu Kewen, Kevin 07, or as Bill Clinton calls him “Prime Minister Rude”.

Australian PM Kevin Rudd agitated in Afghanistan

PM Kevin Rudd denies argument over hair dryer in Afghanistan

Steve Lewis and Ben Packham
Herald Sun
May 08, 2009 12:00am

KEVIN Rudd has denied he threw a "wobbly" over a hair dryer while in Afghanistan.

Coalition frontbencher John Cobb claimed the Prime Minister became agitated when Diggers couldn't find a hair dryer for a photo opportunity.

A livid Mr Rudd last night rejected the allegations as "laughable, ridiculous and untrue".

He also accused Liberal leader Malcolm Turnbull of denigrating the "good name" of Australia's frontline troops.

But Mr Cobb stood by his claims, saying he was told of the incident by forces in Afghanistan.

The alleged incident occurred when Mr Rudd and a small entourage made a secret dash into Afghanistan just before Christmas last year.

There have been stories circulating about it in Defence circles ever since.

Mr Cobb, National MP for the NSW seat of Calare, said the troops he spoke to at Tarin Kowt were staggered at Mr Rudd's behaviour.

"He chucked a wobbly," he said. "I heard from a few people in the Defence forces - they were going on and on about it."But the PM strongly denied the incident.

"The claims by Coalition MP John Cobb on behalf of the Liberal Party dirt unit of an alleged incident in Afghanistan are laughable, ridiculous and untrue," a spokesman for Mr Rudd told the Herald Sun.

The Herald Sun revealed last month Mr Rudd had reduced an RAAF flight attendant to tears during a flight from Port Morseby to Canberra in late January.

The PM was forced to publicly apologise after he complained about the food service on the VIP flight.

Afghanistan:100 Taliban taken by Austyralian "Combat Team Tusk"

Australians take 100 Taliban

By IAN McPHEDRAN in Tarin Kowt
The Sunday Telegraph
April 25, 2009 06:57pm

AUSTRALIAN soldiers have killed more than 100 Taliban fighters and disrupted vast enemy networks in two of the biggest and most successful operations of the six-year Afghanistan campaign.
Details of the offensive were revealed during a secret visit to Afghanistan for Anzac Day by Defence Minister Joel Fitzgibbon who was accompanied by News Limited.

Operation Aabitoorah or Blue Sword began on March 19 in the northern Helmand province, south of the Australian base in Oruzgan Province and involved Dutch, British, American, Australian and Afghani forces.

The second, called Operation Shak Hawel or Mysterious Area, was fought by troops from the Mentoring and Reconstruction Task Force between April 3 and 15 around Patrol Base Buman in the Chora Valley north of Tarin Kowt.

More than 200 diggers or almost half of the battle group led by Darwin based Lieutenant Colonel Shane Gabriel took part with an Afghan National Army battalion.

During the biggest battle on April 12 dozens of Taliban fighters perished as they attempted to defeat the diggers from Combat Team Tusk in the fertile green belt.

"They tried to stop us doing what we wanted to do and they came off second best,'' Lt Colonel Gabriel told News Limited.

Troops from the task force have been engaged in numerous heavy fire fights during offensive patrols to mentor and instruct their Afghan comrades.

Mr Fitzgibbon received full details of the operations and spoke to the troops during a secret two-day tour of Australian bases in the lead up to Anzac Day at Tarin Kowt where Vietnam war hero and Victoria Cross holder Keith Payne was the guest of honour.

Mr Fitzgibbon became the first Australian minister to venture "outside the wire'' flying in a Chinook chopper low along the fertile valleys to forward operating bases framed by snow capped peaks, to judge the progress for himself.

Australian commander Major General Mark Kelly said Special Operations Task Group (SOTG) troops from the Perth based SAS Regiment and Sydney based Commando Regiment operated deep inside a Taliban stronghold for 26 days during "Blue Sword".

He said the number of enemy dead was not a measure of success, but he told News Limited that the tally was in excess of 80.

"It is a significant achievement by our soldiers over an extended combat mission.

"It has really disrupted the insurgent network in this part of regional command south,'' General Kelly said.

The specialist diggers were attacked by roadside bombs, rocket propelled grenades, mortars and small arms fire and despite the intensity of the action just one Australian, Sydney based bomb disposal expert Sergeant Brett Till, was killed and four others wounded including one who lost his legs.

In addition to the number of enemy casualties, including bomb maker and leader Mullah Abdul Bari, the Australians uncovered numerous weapons caches and up to 14 improvised explosive devices in a day.

Mr Fitzgibbon, who toured Australian built hospitals and schools as well as fighting bases, said the latest operations were a major setback for the Taliban.

He said it was vital for the Australian people to understand these intense and deadly operations and just how dangerous and challenging the job was for the diggers.

"We are making real progress in Afghanistan.

"I wish to thank every man and woman in the Australian Defence Force who is making a contribution to what is a very important campaign,'' Mr Fitzgibbon said.

Commander of Regional Command South Dutch Major-General Mart de Kraif said the operation had disrupted insurgent activities including the drugs trade.

He said Australian special-forces troops had applied massive pressure to the insurgent leadership.

Tenth Australian killed in Afghanistan

Kevin Rudd: Keep Afghanistan troops or risk terrorism in Australia

By Max Blenkin, Defence Correspondent
The Daily Telegraph
March 20, 2009 05:15pm

AUSTRALIA must stay the course in Afghanistan or risk terrorist attacks on our own shores, Prime Minister Kevin Rudd said today.

His warning followed news that a second Australian soldier had died in the strife-torn country this week. The unnamed soldier, a explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) specialist, died instantly as he tried to defuse a Taliban improvised explosive device (IED).

His death followed that of Corporal Mathew (Mathew) Hopkins, shot dead by insurgents in a firefight on Monday.
The latest fatality takes Australia's death toll in Afghanistan to 10 since 2002. In a parliamentary tribute, Opposition Leader Malcolm Turnbull described EOD technicians as among the bravest of the brave.

They walked straight into danger zones to clear the way of mines, roadside bombs and other suspect devices strewn by terrorists in
their path, he said. Few details of the latest incident have been revealed. Defence head Angus Houston said Australian soldiers were involved in route clearance at an unspecified location when the IED was detected. In the course of dealing with the device, there was an explosion. "It is believed that the soldier, who was a specialist EOD technician, was killed instantly," Air Chief Marshal Houston told reporters. Mr Rudd said it had been a sad week for all Australians with the loss of two proud and respected soldiers.

Terrorists who killed more than 100 Australians in major attacks since 2000 found sanctuary in Afghanistan and the border regions
with Pakistan, he said. "We cannot allow Afghanistan to yet again become another safe haven for terrorists who then present a threat to the security of people everywhere, including Australians at home and abroad. "The implications of this would extend well beyond Afghanistan itself to our wider region and possibly to our own shores."

Mr Turnbull said the EOD technician gave his life trying to protect the lives of others. The technicians were chosen for their calm, skill, mental discipline and, above all, nerves of steel. "They are part of a dedicated, courageous and selfless group that say to their comrades in arm 'keep your heads down and let me clear a safe way for you'," he said.

Defence Minister Joel Fitzgibbon again cautioned that rising casualties came at the expense of public support. "It is true that the longer you are in a campaign and the more people you lose, the more difficult it is to maintain the support of your local population," he said. IEDs, often deployed as roadside bombs, pose a significant risk to coalition troops and have claimed the lives of four of the nine Australian soldiers killed since October 2007. Other soldiers have been wounded. In November 2007, bomb disposal expert Sergeant Michael Lyddiard lost an eye and an arm in the explosion of an IED he was seeking to disarm. Another roadside bomb blast in September 2007 killed an explosive detection dog and injured his handler.

Is Kevin "I have never been a Socialist" 07 Rudd, the first Western Socialist political party leader to perhaps understand, just a little, the threat of Islam, or as the Islamic appeaser in Chief, Obama demands be described as "man caused disaster" facilitators ?
If so, I hope he is able to impart his understanding of the Islamic / "man caused disaster" facilitators threat to civilization how I wish Rudd's reported concern for our security were genuine.
Australia's Kevin "I have never been a Socialist" 07 Rudd, PM is many things, however, above all he is a shameless liar, who has even invoked the death of his father to legitimise / excuse his membership of Australia's largest Socialist Marxist funded political party, the Australia Labor Party, of which he is now the leader, his appalling slander and character assassination of those who tried to save his fathers life will go down in Australian political history as one of Labor's lowest efforts to gain office at any cost.

I agree with Rudd and his remarks "AUSTRALIA must stay the course in Afghanistan or risk terrorist attacks on our own shores" Why then does he and his party have an open borders illegal immigration policy into Australia?
I mean if you believed that the Taliban / Islamic Terrorism, aka "man caused disasters" in Afghanistan were a threat to Australia and Australian's, why would you at the same time have an open borders illegal refugee policy that allows anyone who flies by plane from Afghanistan to Islamic "man made disaster" supporter, Indonesia, then boards "refugee boats" and is then intercepted in Australian waters by the Royal Australian Navy or Australian Customs forces, not turned back but under orders of the Rudd Socialist Government, escorted to Christmas Island then under Rudd's International Socialist "humane" refugee assessment program granted residence after answering "NO" to the question of "are you a terrorist",to Taliban and Islamic Terrorism supporters aka "man caused disasters"

If Rudd was so concerned about the security of Australia and Australian's he would direct his immigration department to refuse ALL Islamic immigration into Australia, and carefully vet those Muslims already living in Australia with a view to deporting those we are able to do so.
I am sure it is amusing to the Australian Labor Party and their Islamic Multicultural / Cultural Diversity fifth column seeing Australians been shot and blown to pieces in Iraq and Afghanistan while their "refugee" policy allows the killers / potential killers and supporters of those who want to kill Australians into Australia.

Labor and their Marxist financiers, the Australian Council of Trade Unions, (ACTU) have always been supporters of any force that wants to destroy Australia and it's people, from destroying military equipment and supplies to our troops in WW2 to their monetary and moral support of the North Vietnamese,Vietcong, in the Vietnam war under the guise of the "Peace Movement"

I would ask Rudd what his policy on Iran is? given Iran is a major sponsor / facilitator of Islamic Terrorism aka "man caused disasters" in Iraq and Afghanistan.

If the west does lose the war against Islamic Terrorism, aka "man caused disasters" it will not be because of a lack of courage or ability on the part of those whose job it is to fight it,it will be as was the case in the Vietnam War, due to the anti west fifth column existing within the borders of the west who use the rights, freedoms and privelges, that only exist in NON Muslim, NON International Socialist Judeo / Christian Western Democracies they demand be destroyed in the name of world wide "peace, tolerance and diversity".

Corporal Mathew Hopkins.

Corporal Mathew Hopkins

Fallen Digger Corporal Mathew Hopkins a proud new dad - widow

By Ian McPhedran
The Daily Telegraph
March 18, 2009 04:37pm

A SOLDIER killed in Afghanistan on Monday has been named as 21-year-old Corporal Mathew Hopkins, married with a young son.

Corporal Mathew Hopkins spent just four days with his new son Alex before duty called him back to Afghanistan and an untimely death at the hands of Taliban insurgents.

His devastated wife Victoria paid a brief tribute to her 21-year-old husband who died in a hail of enemy bullets during an ambush in Afghanistan on Monday.

He was on his second tour of duty in southern Afghanistan.

"Mat had the most important job - he was a father to our son Alex, my husband and my best friend," she said.

"He was excited about becoming a daddy. He only got to spend four days with our son when he was born before he had to go back overseas. I'm so glad that Mat got to meet his son and experience fatherhood."

The section commander was on patrol with a joint Australian-Afghan National Army patrol when it was ambushed by about 20 enemy fighters near the village of Kakarak about 12km north of the base at Tarin Kowt.

The young soldier from the Darwin based 7th Battalion was a member of an Operational Mentoring and Liaison Team (OMLT) charged with training local troops.

He was treated by patrol medics for severe gunshot wounds and evacuated to the Tarin Kowt field hospital.

Defence chief Angus Houston said he was pronounced "dead on arrival", but Defence revised that assessment saying he "died shortly after arriving at the hospital".

Air Chief Marshal Houston said that the Defence organisation would do everything it could to support the Hopkins family as they dealt with their terrible loss.

"Mathew was a fine, professional and courageous soldier," ACM Houston said.

"He died while serving his nation and his sacrifice should never be forgotten. This loss is felt heavily by the wider Defence Community. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his mates and colleagues.''

Corporal Hopkins was the ninth Australian to die in Afgahnistan since 2002.

More than 60 diggers have been wounded.

Australian Labor Party pilfers Australian Soldiers pay packets while they fight Taliban

Malcolm Turnbull ups pressure on Joel Fitzgibbon over SAS pay

Christian Kerr
The Australian
February 25, 2009

OPPOSITION Leader Malcolm Turnbull continued to target beleaguered Defence Minister Joel Fitzgibbon in question time this afternoon over the SAS pay bungle as the Liberals sniff blood. Members of the elite special services squad have been hit with debt recovery notices of up to $50,000 for overpayments of allowances.

The soldiers have also been threatened with disciplinary action and warned of expulsion from their unit if they complain about the bungle. Mr Fitzgibbon stumbled on the issue in parliament yesterday. And, desperate to land blows against the Government after a week where his own party was wracked by infighting and a series of poor performances in Newspoll, Mr Turnbull has moved to increase the pressure on Mr Fitzgibbon.
"Mr Fitzgibbon is blaming everybody but himself for this appalling SAS pay scandal," Mr Turnbull said this morning.

"Joel Fitzgibbon's incompetence has undermined the morale of the SAS. It has undermined the morale of the entire ADF. "He has by his incompetence allowed a situation to continue where soldiers, troopers in the SAS, are having their pay docked, some are getting no pay, so while they are taking the fight up to the Taliban they are having to worry whether they can meet their mortgage payments."

Mr Turnbull described the matter as an "extraordinary example" of ministerial incompetence, saying any bookkeeper could clear the matter up in a couple of hours. "He is the minister. He could have fixed this up long ago. He said he would. He hasn't,"
Mr Turnbull said. He stopped short of calling for Mr Fitzgibbon to be sacked, but instead put the pressure on the Prime Minister saying it was a matter from him.
Opposition defence spokesman David Johnston sought an undertaking in senate estimates this morning that no soldier who had approached politicians would be penalised.
Head of the Defence Forces Air Chief Marshal Houston told the committee nothing was more important than the welfare of personnel.
"You have my undertaking that there will be no retribution," he said, referring to an email from a regimental sergeant-major warning soldiers against taking the issue outside the chain of command. "You have my word that we will not pursue these people in any way."

This typical of the Australian Labor Party,(ALP) during the Vietnam war they and their financiers the Australian Council of Trade Unions (ACTU) actively supported, morally and financially, the North Vietnamese.
Organizing some of the most disgraceful and violent demonstrations and physical attacks upon Australia's returned servicemen as they attempted to regain their civilian lives after service in Vietnam.

The ACTU's and their political party the Australian Labor Party (ALP) knew no depths in their attempts to "punish" Australia's finest who had the courage and patriotism to serve their country in Vietnam, from preventing supplies from been loaded onto ships and aircraft to physical assaults upon defence service personnel on the streets of Sydney to the Australian Deputy PM and Communist, the late Dr Jim Cairns hosting in Sydney Town Hall a North Vietnamese delegation all seated beneath the Communist Flag of North Vietnam.

“We (Labor) are situated in the political spectrum next to the Communists, and they will stand for many things for which we also stand. We cannot therefore oppose those things."
Former Deputy Labor PM and Communist Dr Jim Cairns (c)
at Sydney Town Hall with Labors best friends, two days after Australia's most sacred day
ANZAC day
. April 26 1975

These Socialist Labor scum, and their financiers, the Marxist based ACTU, have Australian soldiers blood on their hands, stealing their pay packets whilst they risk life and limb in Iraq and Afghanistan is simply just another attack on Australia's finest, in a time they and their families need support the most.

I remember when the first ship sailed to Iraq, Labor put out a press release alleging that the crew were crying and that the moral was so low on board because none of the crew believed in the cause, How would the Labor party know? I hear you ask, they claimed they had a crew member on board who was the son of a Labor supporting family and he was keeping them informed via email, updating them on the ships progress and the moral of the crew.

So we had a situation where Saddam's cheer squad here in Australia, the ALP , ACTU and the Greens (Former Communist Party) had one of their "men" on board an Australian Naval ship on its way to Iraq keeping Saddam's pals and sympathisers updated on the daily activities aboard ship.
In the first Gulf War the then Labor Government led by PM Bob Hawke, ordered Australian service personnel not to wear their uniforms off base, because they had received representations, demands, from Sydney's (occupied territories) Muslim controlled south west Sydney suburbs, that they found it offensive seeing Australian military personnel on the streets of Sydney and suburbs given they were about to attack their hero, and fellow Islamic leader Saddam Hussein.

UPDATE

Soldier's pay was $0.0, says SAS wife

Matthew Franklin and Mark Dodd
The Australian
February 27, 2009

THE wife of a Special Air Service Regiment soldier has accused Defence Minister Joel Fitzgibbon of misleading parliament, backing claims that army bungling over an overpayment led to another soldier being given a paypacket marked $0.0 last month.

Directly rejecting Mr Fitzgibbon's version of a pay dispute that has dominated parliament this week, the woman, who asked not to be named, said she had personal knowledge that despite denials by the army and the minister, the soldier's pay packet on January 22 had been entirely docked over disputed claims that he had been overpaid.

The claims came as the Opposition warned that army officials had launched a witch-hunt against soldiers who publicly complained

about threats of disciplinary action if they leaked details of the pay dispute, which also triggered demands that Kevin Rudd sack Mr Fitzgibbon for incompetence.

But the army denied claims that it had required soldiers to sign declarations they had not flouted the chain of command by leaking information about the affair.

The furore centres on a 2007 Defence Force Remuneration Tribunal decision granting upgraded special forces pay and allowances.

Defence officials incorrectly assumed its special forces soldiers all qualified for the new allowances, but later discovered many did not have the qualifications to match their pay.

They launched a retrospective debt-recovery program aimed at about 380 SAS soldiers. On Wednesday, Deputy Opposition Leader

Julie Bishop produced but would not table a pay packet showing a soldier had been docked his entire pay.

Mr Fitzgibbon hit back yesterday, telling parliament he believed he had found a copy of the man's pay packet, indicating he had been paid $2749, which went into two different bank accounts.

"Either the Opposition are very dumb and cannot read the pay slip properly or they are misrepresenting the facts," said Mr Fitzgibbon, who declared all pay recovery efforts had been frozen.

Later, Defence officials conducted a briefing in which they also insisted the man had been paid. They were unwilling to have their names attributed as sources of the information.

However, last night Ms Bishop showed The Australian a copy of the pay packet at issue, proving it read that the man's "entitlement (includes adjustments this fortnight) for pay day 22 January 09" was $0.0.

The woman who contacted The Australian last night said: "I heard from his mouth. I heard him state that he received $0." She also disputed Mr Fitzgibbon's claim in parliament on Wednesday that no one had contacted his office to complain about the pay issue except for one woman who had refused to leave her contact details. "I was that woman," she said. "And I did leave my name and phone number."

Last night, a spokesman for Mr Fitzgibbon said the woman had given her name and contact details to a staffer in the office of Defence Personnel Minister Warren Snowdon.

Earlier, in question time, Opposition frontbencher Bob Baldwin asked Kevin Rudd whether he was aware that SAS soldiers had been grilled by their superiors and required to sign statements saying they had not leaked a recent email threatening disciplinary action if soldiers went outside the chain of command over the pay scandal.

The Prime Minister did not answer the question directly, instead noting that Defence Force chief Angus Houston had guaranteed no one would face such action.

Defence officials repeated this pledge in their subsequent media briefing. But they said soldiers had been requested to report whether they thought their pay had been incorrectly assessed.

They also said they would conduct an audit to tally the number of soldiers affected by a computerised pay bungle. It would be finalised by April 27.

No doubt Australia's Dear Leader, Kevin 07, aka Kevin "I have never been a socialist" Rudd., would have Australian soldiers believe that they were well off, in as much as Dear Leader did not send them a demand for outstanding Union Fees for the privilege of risking life and limb.

Australia targeted by Islamic people smugglers

Australia's No2 with people-smugglers

Paige Taylor

January 10, 2009

PAKISTANI people-smugglers recommend Australia as the second-best destination for seeking asylum after Canada, according to one of the 134 Asian and Middle Eastern asylum-seekers intercepted off the Australian coast since October.

Sadiq Bahram, an ethnic Hazara from Afghanistan who has reached Australian waters twice from Indonesia since 1999, said known in Pakistan were former police officers who charged $US15,000 ($21,000) for passage to Canada, $US10,000 to Australia and $US9000 to Europe.

In the first interview with any member of the seven boatloads of asylum-seekers now living or being detained on Christmas Island, Mr Bahram said: "They tell me Canada is the best, second is Australia and third is Europe but I tell them I want Australia, I love Australia and its people ...it (is) the best paradise in the world because it is peaceful and beautiful."

Well Mr Bahram, until people (like yourself)started invading the country from Middle Eastern Islamic cess pools, under the protection and facilitation of the Australian Labor Party and its fundraising arm the The Australian Council of Trade Unions, Australia was all you say you think it is, however you have missed the boat if you think you will find in Australia now what you speak of.

Mr Bahram and his 13-year-old daughter, Arzoo, were intercepted at Ashmore Reef with 12 others on a small boat - the second detected in Australian waters since the Rudd Government was elected in November 2007.

They were brought to Christmas Island on October 10.

Everyone aboard, except the crew, and everyone aboard the first boat to arrive last year have had their hopes boosted by the Rudd Government's decision last month to permit all 26 to apply for protection visas.

Mr Bahram said he had paid a Pakistani people-smuggler $12,000. He received a special discount on his daughter's fare after giving the smuggler all his savings.

He said they were issued with false passports and flew unaccompanied from Islamabad to Singapore. He said they then joined others in a 12-day boat trip from Malaysia to Kupang, in West Timor, where they got into another smaller boat for the trip to Australia.

The trip was scary, he said, because the boat was in terrible condition and Arzoo could not swim.

None of the three Indonesian crew, including a teenage boy, seemed to know where they were.

"I asked him, 'Are we in Australia?' and the captain said, 'Yes'. But when I asked him later, 'Are we in Indonesia?' he said 'Yes'," Mr Bahram said. "We were lost."

Mr Bahram first sought asylum here in 1999. He was working as a camera operator for the Wahdat party in Afghanistan and coming under increasing pressure for his involvement in a social and cultural group called Machid Art, in which he met friends on Friday nights to write plays, film dramas and play music.

Mr Bahram tells a harrowing story of being pursued by mullahs over a film he made with Machid about the plight of Hazaras in Afghanistan, Broken Night, and a drama he helped write urging better leadership in Afghanistan entitled Gamshuda.

Local young men were warned by mujaheddin not to associate with them, and soon a leaflet was being distributed describing their activities as "not Muslim", Mr Bahram said.

Mr Bahram, those same thinking people are NOW living in Australia,we cannot be critical of them because to do so is Islamophobic and rascist,if you are not of the same mind set as these people and the Australian Labor Party's created Multicultural Industry, you, along with the overwhelming majority of Anglo Saxon Australians, will be scorned by Australia's Islamic and Socialist elites who will remind you that "Islam is a Religion of Peace" and Australian's and people like yourself are simply rascists and Islamophobic.

"It said this group is not Muslim because they are watching a movie, making a movie, showing a movie," he said.

He fled to Pakistan after receiving threatening letters from a local leader, who was in the Taliban.

There, he paid a Pakistani people-smuggler $6000 for a journey to Australia that included two days locked in a basement in Bali.

He spent a year at Woomera, which he said he prefers not to speak about, and was living on a temporary protection visa when he learned that his friend from Machid Art, Qais, had been murdered.

He said the death of his brother and sister in a bomb blast from US troops put him under pressure to return, and he accepted $1800 from the International Organisation for Migration to help get home. "I thought things might be different with the new leaders but it was not," Mr Bahram said.

He knew he would be killed when he saw a "night notice" on a mosque wall referring to him and his former activities. "It said I had insulted the imam and would be sent to hell," he said.

Sorry Mr Bahram, you have just jumped out of the frying pan into the fire, the same views and threats against infidels are spoken here daily and sometimes all too often "Aussie Sluts" "Aussie Pigs" "Skips" are gang raped stabbed bashed forced to leave schools and indeed change employment.
You see Mr Bahram your fellow coreligionists have done to Australia what you did to Afghanistan and every where else the followers of Islam have invaded or colonized by stealth under the protection of Multiculturalism.

Rudd WILL listen to Obama's Gitmo pleas

We will listen to Obama's Gitmo pleas

Geoff Elliott and Patricia Karvelas
The Australian
January 05, 2009

THE Rudd Government would still be open to overtures from the incoming Obama administration to reconsider its refusal to take inmates from Guantanamo Bay.

After formally rebuffing for the second time the Bush administration on taking former terror suspects being held at Guantanamo, Acting Prime Minister Julia Gillard said Australia would consider subsequent requests from the US as it tries to close the notorious island prison.

But Ms Gillard played down the prospect of accepting any former prisoners.

"We will consider any future requests on a case by case basis against these stringent criteria for both national security and immigration," she said.

Despite the latest rejection, there were no hard feelings from Washington - at least for now.

A State Department spokesman said "no derogatory shadow is being cast" on the announcement from Ms Gillard to deny the request made in December to take a small group of inmates.

"We realise that a lot of the people coming aren't the kind of people you might want, so there are no negative signs being hung on this," the spokesman told The Australian.

The Bush administration has been looking at ways to close Guantanamo for the past 12 months, including asking more than 100 countries if they might consider taking some of the 60 or so detainees already cleared for release but facing possible persecution if they were returned to their homeland.

In all, there are about 250 detainees in Guantanamo, including many never likely to be released, such as Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, the mastermind of the 9/11 attacks.

After revelations in The Australian, Ms Gillard said the federal Government advised the US on Saturday that Australia would refuse the latest request.

A spokeswoman for Ms Gillard yesterday said the Government had not received any more requests to resettle inmates. "The Government has received two requests to resettle persons from Guantanamo. Both these requests were considered, and rejected," the spokeswoman said.

"The Government has not received any other request. Any future request would be considered on the same basis, which led to the rejection of all earlier requests."

Referring earlier to the two requests to help house detainees from the war on terror, Ms Gillard said: "Those resettlement requests were considered on a case-by-case basis against Australia's stringent national security and immigration criteria.

"Assessing those requests on a case-by-case basis, (they) have not met those stringent national security and immigration criteria and have been rejected."

Opposition legal affairs spokesman George Brandis said the request should never have been considered by Australia.

"We are speaking about people, terrorism suspects captured on the field of battle, detained in Guantanamo Bay who are among the most dangerous people among the world," Senator Brandis said.

President-elect Barack Obama has said closing Guantanamo is a priority; already there have been several overtures from European countries, including Britain, Portugal and Germany, indicating they could resettle detainees.

While the Bush administration requests have fallen on deaf ears, analysts believe soundings from Europe indicate a willingness to turn over a new leaf with the incoming administration and build bridges with Washington.

However, the public has been to ask why the US cannot sort out a mess of its own making and resettle all the detainees in the US, either releasing them or continuing the incarceration.

The State Department spokesman said it was perfectly understandable that many felt the US should be responsible for any resettlement, and noted "many regions in the US are not looking at this favourably either".

"But we may end up having to take them all," he said.

The father of former Guantanamo inmate David Hicks said he thought Australia should consider taking prisoners from the military prison. Australia had been "hand in hand with the American Government on Guantanamo and "should look at it", Adelaide-based Terry Hicks said yesterday.

He said he thought any security concerns about inmates coming to Australia could be addressed by the existing screening process for refugees. "We take people from all over the world, we don't know what their thoughts are," he said.

"I can't see any difference from Guantanamo people and people we bring from overseas through the settlement process."

The left media here in Australia has made a big deal of demanding that Madame Gillard tell that terrible Pres. G W Bush what he can do with HIS prisoners, after all, he captured them and he should take care of them if HE wants to shut down Guantanamo Bay,fair enough, however these same commentators have been demanding the closure of Guantanamo Bay and the release of it's prisoners because Guantanamo Bay is not necessary because there are no terrorists interned there, for instance, David Hicks or "Our David " as his leftist cheer squad preferred to call him, well if there are no terrorists interned there whats the big deal with these internees coming to Australia ? surely an Australia full of "Our David" clones cant be a bad thing ?
The Left in Australia, the Australian Labor Party, has told Australians since 911 that protecting our nation from terrorism by the implementation of stricter immigration and passport regulations was simply GWBush and John Howard beating their chests inciting fear amongst the Australian and American populations, Australia has nothing to fear from Islam, hey just ask Sheik Hilalie, Keysar Trad and David Hicks aka "Our David"

I saw Madame Gillard refuting any suggestion that her government would accept any Guantanamo Bay internees as requested by GWBush, she then went on to say that every applicant would be accepted on a case by case basis, so if Pres.GWBush says for instance "hey Madame Gillard can you take 20 Muslim terrorists off my hands" she says "no way", however if the United States government (aka Barack Obama) says "hey Madame Gillard can you take
20 Muslim terrorists off my hands" she will look at each one on a "case by case basis", so Obama's Muslim terrorist internees are somehow not a threat to Australia but Pres.GWBush's Muslim terrorist internees are?
It must be said here that Australian PM Kevin Rudd, is, along with all things China and it's political system, one of the most gushing Barack Obama groupies on the planet, he leapt to Obama's defence when the previous PM John Howard suggested that the Taliban would prefer an Obama / Democrat president be elected in 2008 than a Republican, Rudd reacted as would be expected he do so, as all good leftists China,Chavez, Obama groupies, would, when one of their political and ideological soul mates, especially a black one, came under attack from a member of the evil "coalition of the willing" or someone who believed that Islamic terrorism was a threat to the west, the politically correct thought police here rolled out the specter of racism and defied any one in the community to dare agree with Howard lest they suffer Tar and Feathering for daring to criticise one of the "enlightened ones" that are the left.

Now let me see Madame Gillard,President Bush's Islamic Terrorists are BAD,but President Barack Obama's Islamic terrorists are not necessarily BAD,in fact they could, in all likely hood be good, given the election of a man to the US Presidency who is a Black Democrat, and also an apologist for Islam and there fore they should be considered on a case by case basis......mmmmmmmmmm I see.

Given PM Rudd's promise to allow the entry of over one million immigrants into Australia before the year 2010, with a preference given to NON English speaking UN Skilled applicants will these referees from Comrade Obama be included in the one million or will they be in addition to the one million NON English speaking UN skilled quota ?

Madame Gillard will your government ever explain to the Australian people as to why the previous Hawke / Keating Labor government allowed the entry into Australia of Muslims from the middle east,
who were refused entry / residency by the Australian Immigration Department in particular Lebanon, just why did the Australian Labor Party over rule the Australian Immigration Department and allow these Muslims into Australia against all advice ?
and could you explain to the Australian people why your party or any government would give preference to immigrants who have declared their hatred for Judeo Christian values and the culture manifested by it, why would the Australian Labor Party in particular enforce a policy of Muslim immigration into Australia, a nation the very antithesis of every thing that the Islamic manifested culture and religion of Islam stand for, just what is it about Australia you despise so much you are so determined to destroy?
