"The chief weapon in the quiver of all Islamist expansionist movements, is the absolute necessity to keep victims largely unaware of the actual theology plotting their demise. To complete this deception, a large body of ‘moderates’ continue to spew such ridiculous claims as “Islam means Peace” thereby keeping non-Muslims from actually reading the Qur’an, the Sira, the Hadith, or actually looking into the past 1400 years of history. Islamists also deny or dismiss the concept of ‘abrogation’, which is the universal intra-Islamic method of replacing slightly more tolerable aspects of the religion in favor of more violent demands for Muslims to slay and subdue infidels"

Muslim Spin Doctors swing into gear, Good Muslim / Bad Muslim routine under way in Australia

Australian Islamic leaders call for an end to hatred and provocation, claim radical group Hizb ut-Tahrir is tarnishing religion’s reputations

AUSTRALIA’S Islamic leaders have demanded radical group Hizb ut-Tahrir stop voicing its vile sermons in public, hate-filled messages which they claim are tarnishing the entire Muslim community.

The stinging rebuke comes as the religion’s leaders prepare to intervene in the activist group in a last-ditch attempt to calm its members’ aggressive and scandalous approach and curb its fundamentalism.

RADIO OUTBURST AN INSULT TO ISLAM

GOVERNMENT CAN’T ACT ON RADICAL GROUP

CRACKDOWN ON FORCED MARRIAGES IN AUSTRALIA

For years Australia’s often divided coterie of imams have been loathe to publicly scold Hizb ut-Tahrir’s tiny but vocal members, shaking their heads in private but preferring to preach freedom of expression.

Now the religion’s chief authority — the Australian National Imams Council — has had enough.

The stance follows The Daily Telegraph’s revelations Hizb ut-Tahrir’s spokesman Uthman Badar was stopped from giving a speech at the Sydney Opera House that debated the moral justification of honour killing, while the group was also found to have sickening views that men could “morally’’ marry pre-teen girls and that the US and Australia were terrorist nations for invading Iraq and Afghanistan.

“They send the wrong message about Islam and they should refrain and have better judgment about preaching a message of inflammatory nature,’’ said Imam Mohammadu Nawas, a spokesman for both the ANIC and the Grand Mufti of Australia, Dr Ibrahim Abu Mohammed.

“The vast majority of Muslims in this country do not subscribe to anything what they say. We call on them, and any other organisation making inflammatory statements that can cause upset among the general public, to restrain. We want them to stop.’’

In response to the public condemnation to the group’s abhorrent views, Foreign Minister Julie Bishop issued a veiled threat in Question Time yesterday to any group or organisation that appeared to be supporting terrorism.

“The government will shortly introduce new legislation giving our security agencies greater powers to counter the terrorist threat. The government will not hesitate to take strong action against any person or any group that is a threat to our national security,” Ms Bishop said.

Prominent Islamic leader Ameer Ali, former president of the Australian Federation of Islamic Councils, said all Muslim groups, leaders and mosque preachers should be resoundingly denouncing the views of Hizb ut-Tahrir.

“But I don’t hear it yet. I don’t hear people coming out in sermons denouncing them. They need to do this and be at the forefront of demolishing these ideas,’’ he said.

“Indeed, most Muslims are horrified by what they are saying. So why aren’t the council of Imams stopping them? That’s surprising to me.’’

Muslim community organiser and political aspirant Keysar Trad also denounced the group, saying: “This organisation thrives on controversy and picks topics that will appeal to the disenfranchised.’’

Islams maddest of Islamic dogs down under enunciates "........support for military coups and revolutions to overthrow non-Muslim governments worldwide"
Islamist leader in call for revolution

THE mysterious sheik behind the Australian chapter of Islamist group Hizb ut-Tahrir has revealed the organisation's support for military coups and revolutions to overthrow non-Muslim governments worldwide.
Ismail Al Wahwah, who was little known until last month when he was banned from a Hizb ut-Tahrir conference in Indonesia, spoke out on an Arabic radio program that revealed him as the "active member" of the group in Australia.

In an interview conducted in Arabic on SBS radio last month, he attacked the West's lack of values and backed the use of suicide bombings in Iraq and Palestine, even if they killed Australians.
"I say any occupied people have the responsibility to defend their country," he said in the interview, which The Australian had translated into English. "The victim ... should not be asked how he is defending himself."

Sheik Wahwah is understood to be the unofficial leader of Hizb ut-Tahrir in Australia. The Australian has obtained the first pictures of the man widely known in the Muslim community as Abu Anas.
Hizb ut-Tahrir's media spokesman, Wassim Doureihi, denied the sheik was the group's leader in Australia, saying Sheik Wahwah was a senior member and that his brother, Ashraf, a civil engineer at North Sydney Council, was the official leader.

But Sheik Wahwah is sent to address senior members of the Islamic community in Sydney on behalf of Hizb ut-Tahrir, and he was Australia's representative for the Indonesian conference.
On the radio program, he was introduced as the "active member" of the party - a statement he did not correct.

Hizb ut-Tahrir is a secretive organisation known as the Party of Islamic Liberation, which advocates the destruction of Western civilisation and the overthrow of governments and their replacement by Islamic rule.
The group is banned in Europe, China and Saudi Arabia, but remains legal in Britain and Australia, actively pushing the idea of a Muslim rule.
It has been investigated by ASIO but there is not enough evidence to proscribe it as a terrorist organisation. Five years ago, most Western observers did not consider Hizb ut-Tahrir a serious threat, but its influence has grown and it now has a presence in about 45 countries.

Sheik Wahwah has refused to speak to the mainstream media in Australia.
In his radio interview, he said the allegations that the failed London bomb plotters were linked to Hizb ut-Tahrir was another example of the clash of civilisations and the West's dropping of one of its most basic values - the presumption of innocence until proven guilty.
Sheik Wahwah expressed support for violent means to overthrow governments to achieve the group's aim of a caliphate.
He said if nations did not respond to the wishes of their people, the people should use all the powers they had, including the army, to usurp the rulers.
"It is up to the Ummah (community) to sort out its own matter with these rulers and remove their ruler in a public manner," he said.
"It could be such as a public revolution, public disobedience or a military coup ...
"We are in the front line with the Ummah. We don't engage in militant activities. Our case is to make the case of Islam the case of the Ummah."

Terror Australis:Wassim Doureihi Hizb ut-Tahrir wants a Caliphate

Hizb ut-Tahrir wants a Caliphate

By Wassim Doureihi
Daily Telegraph

THE debate over Hizb ut-Tahrir has proven to be nothing more than a poorly scripted melodrama.
Hizb ut-Tahrir is a global Islamic political party working to re-establish the Islamic Caliphate within the Muslim world.

Since its inception in 1953, Hizb ut-Tahrir has been subject to the severest of repression by tyrants in the Muslim world. Our members have been consistently persecuted, imprisoned, tortured and murdered.
Despite operating under the most horrendous conditions, Hizb ut-Tahrir continues to oppose all forms of tyranny and dictatorship exclusively through intellectual and political means and in fact considers violence a violation of Islamic law.

Hizb ut-Tahrir's courageous stance in mobilising public opinion in the Muslim world has earned it the universal support of Muslim masses and caused widespread consternation among its opponents.
Hizb ut-Tahrir is now being targeted in the West for three primary reasons: The party continues to courageously expose the crimes of Western governments to a global audience; it unrelentingly challenges the West's neo-liberal interventionist policies in the Muslim world and it works to present Islam as an ideological alternative to Western secular capitalism as a model of governance in the Muslim world.
Critics of Hizb ut-Tahrir are desperately seeking to suppress debate. Our opposition to the illegal state of Israel, for instance, is howled down as anti-Semitism, our displeasure at the West's foreign policy labelled subversion, our challenge to Western-backed dictators characterised as rebellion, our work to generate political awareness described as radicalisation and our call for the affairs of the Muslim world to be governed by Islam branded as extremism.

Governments have even lent sympathetic ears to opportunistic individuals parroting the established government narrative by seeking to draw spurious and unfounded links between Hizb ut-Tahrir and recent events in London and Glasgow.

In the last century, Western governments conducted a brutal and unashamedly interventionist policy in the Muslim world which wreaked havoc on local populations through military occupation, economic exploitation and political repression.
But despite the concerted effort to demonise and silence Hizb ut-Tahrir, we will continue a serious and open debate on the way forward for the Muslim world.

Wassim Doureihi

"I don't choose where I was born" … Wassim Doureihi

Westerners must leave Muslim lands if they want to safeguard themselves against terrorist attacks, says the Sydney leader of the global Islamic group Hizb ut-Tahrir, Wassim Doureihi.

Although Mr Doureihi says his group espouses non-violence, he warns Australia to "stop interfering in Islamic land, stop enforcing rules over Muslims and allow the Muslims to assume their own political destiny … If we are really serious about protecting the lives of the people in Australia, if you want to remove the possibility of these actions occurring within these countries, then remove the original injustice."

Hizb ut-Tahrir came under scrutiny yesterday after a report it was launching a recruitment drive in Sydney and was linked to one of the London bombers. But Mr Doureihi, 28, an accountant, vehemently denied a London link.

"The Islamic position is very clear - that is, Islam condemns the killing of innocent non-combatants whether it's in London or Iraq," he said at the rented room at Greenacre where his group meets on Friday nights.

However, leaflets handed out to members refer to the "war on Islam being reignited", leading to accusations of inflammatory language. "It's very ironic," Mr Doureihi said, "that certain groups can be targeted with words they use, when at the same time bombs are being dropped on entire villages and yet the world hasn't arisen to condemn that."
He does not believe Muslims can co-exist with Western society. Asked, then, why he chose to stay in Australia, he said: "I was born in this country. I don't choose where I was born … I consider myself as a Muslim first and foremost."

Hizb ut-Tahrir supports a transnational regime under Sharia law. It is banned in a number of Middle Eastern countries, but it is not a proscribed terrorist organisation in Australia, the US or Britain.

The president of the Australian Federation of Islamic Councils, Dr Ameer Ali, said: "Whenever we come across any groups like this, who are openly, blatantly advocating violence, we bring them to the notice of the law-enforcing authorities."

However, Keysar Trad, a founder of the Australian Islamic Friendship Association, said the group was "non-integrationist but not violent".

He does not believe Muslims can co-exist with Western society. Well he‘s  got that right at least.

Australia "Moderate" Muslims demand MONEY " for high-quality Islamic studies " in exchange for peace?

Kevin Rudd urged to tackle extremists

Mark Dodd
The Australian
June 09, 2009

ISLAMIC scholars are urging a rethink on the fight against homegrown extremism as the Rudd government stands accused of failing to match its tough talk on counter-terrorism with action.

The Rudd government should urgently boost funding for high-quality Islamic studies courses, moderate Muslim community groups, and police liaison teams to counter home-grown extremism, a leading Australian Islamic expert says.
Dr Ameer Ali
Such measures offered the best hope of blunting the potential radicalisation of hundreds of Muslim students who come to Australia to study each year. They would have a hugely positive impact on Australian Muslims, said Ameer Ali, vice-president of the Regional Islamic Council of Southeast Asia and the Pacific.

Dr Ali's call follows a blunt warning by the Australian Strategic Policy Institute that the government had failed to match its tough talk on countering local extremism with the resources needed to deliver a solution.

Attorney-General Robert McClelland warned in March that a terrorist attack in Australia had "as much prospect of emanating from disgruntled and alienated Australian youth as it does from an overseas terrorist organisation". Government concerns about extremism were again raised by the Attorney-General's

Department in the May budget portfolio statement to "develop and progress" moves to reduce the risk of resort to violent extremism.

Despite the warnings, no new funding was provided to the Attorney-General's Department for programs to counter local extremism, ASPI's research programs director Anthony Bergin says in a new report.

"At this stage it's not clear what direction the Australian government's counter-extremism policy will take," he says. "It's unclear, for example, what the Attorney-General's Department's new body of counter-extremism work will look like or when it will commence. It's disappointing that the Attorney-General's Department was given no new funding to advance their counter-extremism work in this year's budget."

Australia's growing Muslim population numbers more than 300,000.

ASIO said in its latest annual report it was "aware of a significant number of Australians" who hold or have held extremist views, Dr Bergin said.

"Some of these Australians have shown a willingness to put these views into action - some have travelled overseas to train with terrorist groups or engage in jihad activities."

Mr McClelland said the government was committed to countering home-grown extremism and had looked to Britain and Singapore for possible models.

"Deradicalisation and rehabilitation strategies will necessarily be considered as part of this work," Mr McClelland told The Australian.

The Australian Federal Police had also developed a national community engagement strategy to "establish, maintain and enhance" relationships with the (Muslim) community," he added.

Speaking from Perth yesterday, Dr Ali, a Murdoch University academic and former chair of the Howard government's Muslim Community Reference Group, said university courses offering a "critical analysis" of Islamic studies should be used to counter home-grown extremism and act as a moderating influence on foreign students.

"These students are coming from a particular mindset.

"If we don't train these students to think critically they'll just continue to believe what they believe," he said.

"And we have to target the funding to train the trainers, the teachers at Muslim schools."

I have heard of "man made disaster makers and facilitators" but whats all this talk of Muslim
extremists " whats all this about? "God" himself, has just spent the past six months reminding us all that Islam and it's followers are a "great civilizing force" and have played a "large part in the making of the USA" and "Islam is one of the worlds great Religions"

"God" said, just last week of Islam "..... As a student of history, I also know civilization’s debt to Islam. It was Islam – at places like Al-Azhar University – that carried the light of learning through so many centuries, paving the way for Europe’s Renaissance and Enlightenment. It was innovation in Muslim communities that developed the order of algebra; our magnetic compass and tools of navigation; our mastery of pens and printing; our understanding of how disease spreads and how it can be healed. Islamic culture has given us majestic arches and soaring spires; timeless poetry and cherished music; elegant calligraphy and places of peaceful contemplation. And throughout history, Islam has demonstrated through words and deeds the possibilities of religious tolerance and racial equality.

I know, too, that Islam has always been a part of America’s story. The first nation to recognize my country was Morocco. In signing the Treaty of Tripoli in 1796, our second President John Adams wrote, “The United States has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion or tranquility of Muslims.” And since our founding, American Muslims have enriched the United States. They have fought in our wars, served in government, stood for civil rights, started businesses, taught at our Universities, excelled in our sports arenas, won Nobel Prizes, built our tallest building, and lit the Olympic Torch. And when the first Muslim-American was recently elected to Congress, he took the oath to defend our Constitution using the same Holy Koran that one of our Founding Fathers – Thomas Jefferson – kept in his personal library.

So I have known Islam on three continents before coming to the region where it was first revealed. That experience guides my conviction that partnership between America and Islam must be based on what Islam is, not what it isn’t. And I consider it part of my responsibility as President of the United States to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam wherever they appear...."

So with all that "God " says Islam and its followers has going for them / it, the infidel nation of Australia, receives a demand by its Muslim colonialist and fifth column dissitents to PAY them to behave like civilized human beings .... or else ... or else what?

The very moderate and "non man made disaster maker" and by coincidence a self confessed Muslim, Dr.Ameer Ali was in the news in 2005

Backing resistance no crime: PM's man

By Tom Allard

Australians should be able to support the armed resistance against foreign forces in Iraq - including Australian soldiers - without being thrown in jail, a leading member of the Federal Government's Muslim advisory body said yesterday.

In remarks that set him on a collision course with the Federal Government's new anti-terrorism laws, the president of the Australian Federation of Islamic Councils, Ameer Ali, said the laws went too far and it was time to "draw a line through them".

"If you speak in support of the resistance in Iraq, that must not be seen as promoting terrorism in this country," he told the Herald yesterday.

Dr Ali - a leading moderate who acted as spokesman for the group of Muslims picked by the Prime Minister, John Howard, for his Canberra summit - said he would discuss the issue with the Attorney-General, Philip Ruddock, next week.

"He's giving us a briefing and I will be making our views on this known to him," he said.

While it has long been a crime under sedition laws to finance or participate in military action against Australian troops, the new laws add another dimension.

As the laws were first proposed by Mr Howard on September 8, people face between three and seven years in prison if they "communicate inciting messages directed against other groups within our community, including against Australia's forces overseas and in support of Australia's enemies".

Mr Howard has said the laws will not stop people criticising the war or calling for the withdrawal of Australia's troops, but actually speaking in favour of the insurgency does appear to fall within the definition of the new offence.

Under the new laws, groups that "advocate terrorism" can be banned, and in-principle support for the Iraqi insurgency would possibly qualify for this.

The Foreign Minister, Alexander Downer, has denounced the insurgents as terrorists, not least because they use techniques such as suicide and roadside bombings against civilians.

But hostility to the invasion of Iraq is widespread among Muslims, and some believe the insurgency is a legitimate response, arguing the US-led forces have also caused many thousands of civilian deaths.

A spokeswoman for Mr Ruddock said the incitement provisions would be drafted carefully and involve consultation with those with concerns about civil liberties.
