Australia's strange Prime Minister ,Australia's Idiot's in search of a village and large multitude of deceptions.
Tim Blair
The Daily Telegraph
October 26, 2015
LIKE most doctrinaire left-wingers, Wendy Bacon takes an unusual view of things. Last December, for example, the Sydney journalism academic gazed around the central business district and noted an exceptional reduction in traffic.
Impressed by this, Bacon jumped on Twitter and declared: “Clearing of cars in CBD gives you idea of how pleasant carless city might be (despite context).”
The “context” to which Bacon referred was, of course, the Lindt cafe siege. While most of us were gripped by the horror of an Islamic terrorist taking 18 frightened Australians hostage in the middle of our city, Bacon instead took the time to consider certain urban transport advantages.
Wendy Bacon She’s an odd one, even by the warped standards of her political allies.
She’s an odd one, even by the warped standards of her political allies. Lately Wendy has
returned to the Left’s eternal misery topic, the treatment of people in Australia’s detention centres. The other day she wrote: “Conditions for New Zealanders on Christmas Island only highlights crude out of control authoritarianism of Border Force.” Bacon helpfully provided a link to a Guardian piece that would reveal this “out of control authoritarianism”.
A fellow Twitter user by the name of Monsterdome checked the provided link and came back with a question. “How does it highlight that, Wendy?” he asked. “The example given was of birthday chocolates withheld. Not exactly the Gulag.”
Wendy wasn’t swayed. “Chocolates is detail. They have served their time. Why treat like criminals?”
Besides Leftists, the only other people on earth who regard confectionary denial as criminal treatment are three years old and usually in front of me at the supermarket check-out yelling at their mothers. The modern Left has now sunk to the same emotional level as sugar-dependent toddlers.
Incidentally, that Guardian piece opened with the remarkable line: “New Zealand detainees on Christmas Island are so angry, hungry and traumatised they are allegedly considering rioting.”
Only famously polite New Zealanders could ever be so described. Riots are generally spontaneous affairs involving very little consideration. Possibly our Kiwi crims on Christmas Island have organised a riot committee, where the latest proposals for a violent insurrection are discussed over tea and “buscuts”.
The piece also claimed New Zealand Labour MP Kelvin Davis, a recent visitor to the Christmas Island detention centre, “was drug tested and escorted into an airless room where detainees were brought in two at a time for 30 minutes.” If true, this is rather more worrying than mere chocolate deprivation. People generally die after just three minutes in an airless environment. Leaving them there for half an hour seems extremely inefficient, at the very least.
Still, mass asphyxiation should quell those incipient riots. Well done, border officials. And well done to Davis, too, who for all his exaggerations actually did visit the detention centre before offering an opinion. This whole “visiting places and then talking about them” thing, also known as “reporting”, might catch on one day. Although, following the experience of Chris Kenny, you might ask why anyone would bother.
Kenny, a columnist at The Australian, spent several months negotiating with authorities before becoming the first foreign journalist in 18 months to visit Nauru, now home to about 600 asylum seekers. His visit coincided with the return to Nauru of Abyan, a 23-year-old Somali and alleged rape victim who was earlier flown to Australia for an abortion.
Abyan, not her real name, declined to have the abortion, according to the Department of Immigration. Given Nauru’s small asylum seeker population, it took little time for Kenny to find her and ask her side of the story.
Kenny and a photographer from The Australian dealt respectfully with Abyan over the course of two interviews in two days. She told Kenny that she still wanted an abortion but not in Nauru or Australia. She agreed to be photographed but not to show her face. When she’d finished stating her case, Kenny and the photographer left.
Kenny’s reward for his straightforward and illuminating interviews was to be attacked online by demented Leftists.
“The only journalist granted a visa to Nauru has been Chris Kenny, who with a police escort immediately went to beat down the door of Nauru rape victim Abyan,” claimed online rag Independent Australia.
This insane fantasy was immediately seized on as pure truth by Twitter’s idiot army, who accused Kenny of “barging in on Abyan with an armed posse”, “harassing a young refugee who’s pregnant” and of being “knowingly co-opted in (a) Nauru propaganda exercise.”
Labor MP Graham Perrett said Kenny was “obscene & insensitive & very close to criminal behaviour … what a grub.”
Bizarrely, the notion that Australian Federal Police officers were involved somehow became a Twitter truth as well. Kenny never saw a single such officer during his whole time on the island.
By the end of the week small signs of sanity began to emerge. Perrett withdrew his defamatory slur (“I retract & apologise to him for any hurt & embarrassment it caused”) and Independent Australia deleted its entire ridiculous article. Even the Leftist cranks at vice.com conceded that Kenny’s foes had overreached: “His article is far more reasonable than his many critics would predict (Abyan’s story is given significant room) …”
Yet these positive developments were overwhelmed by continuing waves of Leftist rage. Some people just can’t handle the truth. Just like those supermarket three-year-olds, they prefer sweet deception.
IDOL TALK FROM A BIG FAN OF MAO
MALCOLM Turnbull is still enjoying the golden early phase of his prime ministership, during which he can say remarkably stupid things and not be pulled up for it. Recently the Great Communicator told Fairfax that he wants to, as Fairfax put it, “change the culture; the culture of government, the culture of politics, the culture of business. Even the way Australia presents itself to the world”.
That’s a lot of change. And who might be Turnbull’s guide for these seismic shifts?
“He cites the founder of communist China, Mao Zedong, in a famous declaration attributed to him in the creation of the People’s Republic of China in 1949 when he said: ‘The Chinese people have stood up!’ And Turnbull adapts it for Australia: ‘’Modern China is built upon an assertion of national sovereignty. And that is why we say to China, ‘The Australian people stand up!’ repeating it in Mandarin.”
Just by the by, Mao Zedong killed about 45 million people according to some estimates. Nice fellow you’re quoting there, Malcolm. And not for the first time. Back in 2011, Turnbull gave a speech at the London School of Economics:
“The economic success of modern China, whether manifested in gleaming new cities, fast trains and freeways, or in tanks and stealth fighter jets, is the fulfilment of Mao’s proud boast in 1949 from the top of Tien An Men. ‘Zhong guo ren min zanqilai le’ — The Chinese people have stood up. And so they have — and we are now all taking notice.”
At the time, The Australian’s Greg Sheridan wrote that Turnbull’s LSE speech and another to Asialink helped explain “why he was such a disastrous Liberal leader and why he should never be considered for the leadership again”.
“They contradict Liberal Party policy, they contradict Liberal leader Tony Abbott and Liberal foreign affairs spokeswoman Julie Bishop, and they show Turnbull as well to the left not only of his party but of the Gillard government, and indeed of Kevin Rudd,” Sheridan continued.
“They suggest Turnbull’s values and world view are in many respects outside the mainstream of his party, and on some key matters outside the mainstream of Australian life.”
Yet today Turnbull says exactly the same dumb things he was saying four years ago and now the media adores him for it. This might just be because, to paraphrase Sheridan, the media’s values and world view are also in many respects outside the mainstream of Australian life.
SMALL ACTS OF MICROAGGRESSION UPSET LITTLE MINDS
HAVE you ever committed an act of microaggression? Perhaps you have, and you don’t even know it.
Microaggression does not mean beating up midgets. Rather, “microaggressions are the everyday verbal, non-verbal and environmental slights, snubs or insults, whether intentional or unintentional, that communicate hostile, derogatory, or negative messages to target persons based solely upon their marginalised group membership.”
That’s according to the University of California, Los Angeles, which also provides a list of microaggressive assaults. For example, if you say: “I believe the most qualified person should get the job”, what you’re really saying is: “The playing field is even so if women cannot make it, the problem is with them.”
Modern university students, the most pansified bunch of panic babies ever to stain this earth, are absolutely rabid for microaggression. Presumably this is because actual aggression, or even any approximation of it, has been completely removed from their timid little lives.
These students are so hyper-alert for offence that they can detect minute acts of microaggression with the same unerring precision as a electron holography microscope scanning for subatomic particles.
The latest microaggressive crime is, in fact, criticism of those screaming about microaggression.
“The phrase ‘politically correct’ is now a microaggression, according to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee,” US writer Peter Hasson reports. “The university also claims the word ‘lame’ is a microaggression that somehow both ‘ridicules and ignores the lives of amputees’.”
Kids, you don’t belong at university. You belong back in kindergarten, where everything is soft and the nice grown-ups never say mean things. Readers are invited to submit their ideas for dealing with these children. You are welcome to be as macroaggressive as you wish.

Bendigo Protests: Pro Muslim Terror Supporter caught on Video stealing Videographer's Camera under the noses of Vic.Police.
Pro Islamic Terror Supporter During Bendigo
Anti Islamic Terror Protest.
Cannot wait to see the reaction of TV and Newspaper News crews when their gear starts getting snatched and stolen.
Newspaper Photogs would have around $10 to $25 ,000 worth of gear in their hands and in the bags, TV anywhere between $15,0000 upwards to $60,000 on their shoulder Plus Sound engineers around another $5 to $10,000 .
Good little earners on the second hand market these THUGS would have no problem disposing of their plunder through their Islamic Crime Gang associates.
Camera Stolen in Protest
Brenden Hills
The Sunday Telegraph
October 11 2015.
A PHOTOGRAPHER caught up in clashes between pro and anti Islamic protesters yesterday had his camera stolen before being arrested.
Franc Titan said he went to religious protests in Bendigo, Victoria, “to capture that magic shot” but found himself in the middle of a pro-Muslim protest line just after midday.
“Three of them attacked me and then one jumped on me and ripped my video camera out of my hand,” Mr Titan, 49, from Ballarat, said. He complained to police but they pulled him over a barricade.
He was arrested and taken to the police station before being released without charge.
“It’s pathetic,” he said. “I had my equipment stolen and the best they could do was drag me over the fence.”

Islam in a Nutshell
If you do not understand Muslims, please read the following.
This, not the Chinese or the Russians represent the greatest threat to
the world and might be the fulfilment of the book of Revelation in
the Holy Bible.
Adapted from Dr. Peter Hammond's book: Slavery, Terrorism and Islam:
The Historical Roots and Contemporary Threat
Islam is not a religion, nor is it a cult. In its fullest form, it is
a complete, total, 100% system of life.
Islam has religious, legal, political, economic, social, and military
components. The religious component is a beard for all of the other
components.
Islamization begins when there are sufficient Muslims in a country to
agitate for their religious privileges.
When politically correct, tolerant, and culturally diverse societies
agree to Muslim demands for their religious privileges, some of the
other components tend to creep in as well.
Here's how it works:
As long as the Muslim population remains around or under 2% in any
given country, they will be for the most part be regarded as a
peace-loving minority, and not as a threat to other citizens. This is
the case in:
United States -- Muslim 0.6%
Australia -- Muslim 1.5%
Canada -- Muslim 1.9%
China -- Muslim 1.8%
Italy -- Muslim 1.5%
Norway -- Muslim 1.8%
At 2% to 5%, they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities
and disaffected groups, often with major recruiting from the jails and
among street gangs. This is happening in:
Denmark -- Muslim 2%
Germany -- Muslim 3.7%
United Kingdom -- Muslim 2.7%
Spain -- Muslim 4%
Thailand -- Muslim 4.6%
From 5% on, they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to
their percentage of the population. For example, they will push for
the introduction of halal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby
securing food preparation jobs for Muslims. They will increase
pressure on supermarket chains to feature halal on their shelves --
along with threats for failure to comply. This is occurring in:
France -- Muslim 8%
Philippines -- 5%
Sweden -- Muslim 5%
Switzerland -- Muslim 4.3%
The Netherlands -- Muslim 5.5%
Trinidad & Tobago -- Muslim 5.8%
At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow
them to rule themselves (within their ghettos) under Sharia, the
Islamic Law.
The ultimate goal of Islamists is to establish Sharia law over the entire world.
When Muslims approach 10% of the population, they tend to increase
lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions.. In Paris
, we are already seeing car-burnings. Any non-Muslim action offends
Islam and results in uprisings and threats, such as in Amsterdam ,
with opposition to Mohammed cartoons and films about Islam. Such
tensions are seen daily, particularly in Muslim sections in:
Guyana -- Muslim 10%
India -- Muslim 13.4%
Israel -- Muslim 16%
Kenya -- Muslim 10%
Russia -- Muslim 15%
After reaching 20%, nations can expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad
militia formations, sporadic killings, and the burnings of Christian
churches and Jewish synagogues, such as in:
Ethiopia -- Muslim 32.8%
At 40%, nations experience widespread massacres, chronic terror
attacks, and ongoing militia warfare, such as in:
Bosnia -- Muslim 40%
Chad -- Muslim 53..1%
Lebanon -- Muslim 59.7%
From 60%, nations experience unfettered persecution of non-believers
of all other religions (including non-conforming Muslims), sporadic
ethnic cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia Law as a weapon, and Jizya,
the tax placed on infidels, such as in:
Albania -- Muslim 70%
Malaysia -- Muslim 60.4%
Qatar -- Muslim 77.5%
Sudan -- Muslim 70%
After 80%, expect daily intimidation and violent jihad, some State-run
ethnic cleansing, and even some genocide, as these nations drive out
the infidels, and move toward 100% Muslim, such as has been
experienced and in some ways is on-going in:
Bangladesh -- Muslim 83%
Egypt -- Muslim 90%
Gaza -- Muslim 98.7%
Indonesia -- Muslim 86.1%
Iran -- Muslim 98%
Iraq -- Muslim 97%
Jordan -- Muslim 92%
Morocco -- Muslim 98.7%
Pakistan -- Muslim 97%
Palestine -- Muslim 99%
Syria -- Muslim 90%
Tajikistan -- Muslim 90%
Turkey -- Muslim 99.8%
United Arab Emirates -- Muslim 96%
100% will usher in the peace of 'Dar-es-Salaam' -- the Islamic House
of Peace. Here there's supposed to be peace, because everybody is a
Muslim, the Madrasses are the only schools, and the Koran is the only
word, such as in:
Afghanistan -- Muslim 100%
Saudi Arabia -- Muslim 100%
Somalia -- Muslim 100%
Yemen -- Muslim 100%
Unfortunately, peace is never achieved, as in these 100% states the
most radical Muslims intimidate and spew hatred, and satisfy their
blood lust by killing less radical Muslims, for a variety of reasons.
'Before I was nine, I had learned the basic canon of Arab life. It was
me against my brother; me and my brother against our father; my family
against my cousins and the clan; the clan against the tribe; the tribe
against the world, and all of us against the infidel. -- Leon Uris,
'The Haj'
It is important to understand that in some countries, with well under
100% Muslim populations, such as France, the minority Muslim
populations live in ghettos, within which they are 100% Muslim, and
within which they live by Sharia Law. The national police do not even
enter these ghettos. There are no national courts, nor schools, nor
non-Muslim religious facilities. In such situations, Muslims do not
integrate into the community at large. The children attend madrasses.
They learn only the Koran. To even associate with an infidel is a
crime punishable with death. Therefore, in some areas of certain
nations, Muslim Imams and extremists exercise more power than the
national average would indicate.
Today's 1.5 billion Muslims make up 22% of the world's population. But
their birth rates dwarf the birth rates of Christians, Hindus,
Buddhists, Jews, and all other believers. Muslims will exceed 50% of
the world's population by the end of this century.
Well, boys and girls, today we are letting the fox guard the henhouse.
The wolves will be herding the sheep!
Obama appoints two devout Muslims to Homeland Security posts. Doesn't
this make you feel safer already?
Obama and Janet Napolitano appoint Arif Alikhan, a devout Muslim, as
Assistant Secretary for Policy Development.
DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano swore in Kareem Shora, a devout Muslim
who was born in Damascus , Syria , as ADC National Executive Director
as a member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC).
NOTE: Has anyone ever heard a new government official being identified
as a devout Catholic, a devout Jew or a devout Protestant...? Just
wondering.
Devout Muslims being appointed to critical Homeland Security positions?
Doesn't this make you feel safer already??
That should make the US ' homeland much safer, huh!!
Was it not "Devout Muslim men" that flew planes into U.S. buildings 11
years ago?
Was it not a Devout Muslim who killed 13 at Fort Hood ?
Also: This is very interesting and we all need to read it from start
to finish. Maybe this is why our American Muslims are so quiet and not
speaking out about any atrocities. Can a good Muslim be a good
American? This question was forwarded to a friend who worked in Saudi
Arabia for 20 years. The following is his reply:
Theologically - no . . . Because his allegiance is to Allah, The moon
God of Arabia
Religiously - no. Because no other religion is accepted by His Allah
except Islam (Quran, 2:256)(Koran)
Scripturally - no. Because his allegiance is to the five Pillars of
Islam and the Quran.
Geographically - no. Because his allegiance is to Mecca , to which he
turns in prayer five times a day.
Socially - no. Because his allegiance to Islam forbids him to make
friends with Christians or Jews..
Politically - no. Because he must submit to the mullahs (spiritual
leaders), who teach annihilation of Israel and destruction of America
, the great Satan.
Domestically - no. Because he is instructed to marry four Women and
beat and scourge his wife when she disobeys him (Quran 4:34)
Intellectually - no. Because he cannot accept the American
Constitution since it is based on Biblical principles and he believes
the Bible to be corrupt.
Philosophically - no. Because Islam, Muhammad, and the Quran do not
allow freedom of religion and expression... Democracy and Islam cannot
co-exist. Every Muslim government is either dictatorial or autocratic.
Spiritually - no. Because when we declare 'one nation under God,' the
Christian's God is loving and kind, while Allah is NEVER referred to
as Heavenly father, nor is he ever called love in The Quran's 99
excellent names.
Therefore, after much study and deliberation. ... Perhaps we should be
very suspicious of ALL MUSLIMS in this country. - - - They obviously
cannot be both 'good' Muslims and good Americans. Call it what you
wish, it's still the truth. You had better believe it. The more who
understand this, the better it will be for our country and our future.
The religious war is bigger than we know or understand.
Can a Muslim be a good soldier???
Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, opened fire at Ft. Hood and Killed 13. He
is a good Muslim!!!
Footnote: The Muslims have said they will destroy us from within.
SO FREEDOM IS NOT FREE.
THE MARINES WANT THIS TO ROLL ALL OVER THE U.S.
Thank you.

Terror Australis:Syrian linked Muslims arrested in Australian Terroro raid
Australia, Victorian man arrested over Terrorism Offences
Yahoo News
September 12, 2012, 9:06 pm
A Melbourne man has been arrested in connection with terrorism offences.
Police raided a number of properties across Melbourne's southeast on Wednesday and say they expect to charge a man with collecting or making documents likely to facilitate terrorist acts.
There was no immediate threat to the community's safety, Victoria Police and the Australian Federal Police (AFP) said.
Police targeted 11 properties in Melbourne's southeast, including the Al-Furqan Islamic Information Centre in Springvale, in simultaneous raids about 6am (AEST) on Wednesday.
They seized a number of items including a USB memory stick containing violent extremist materials, computer equipment, imitation firearms and a number of registered firearms, a joint AFP and Victoria Police statement said.
Police arrested a 23-year-old man from the southeastern suburb of Officer. He was expected to be charged on Wednesday night with collecting or making documents likely to facilitate terrorist acts.
The maximum penalty for the offence is 15 years' jail.
Victoria Police Assistant Commissioner for Crime Steve Fontana said the joint investigation was ongoing.
"I would like to reassure people that we have not identified any immediate threats that pose immediate concerns to the safety of the community and we will continue to work to ensure that all steps are taken to protect all members of the community," Mr Fontana said in a statement.
A spokesman for the Al-Furqan centre in Springvale, who did not want to be identified, said police arrived there at 6am (AEST) and stayed until about 6pm.
"They wouldn't allow anyone inside, they just cordoned it off," the man told AAP.
"They took a few things and gave us a receipt."
He said Al Furqan was an Islamic information centre and book shop.
"Everyone has been taken aback but you always have the feeling that these things can happen," he said.
He said police also raided a number of houses in the Springvale area.
"Muslims live here and they are checking things in the neighbourhood," he said.
The Al-Furqan centre also engages in religious instruction and conducts lectures on Islam.
Its website carries videos of Islamist militia fighting in the Arab world, such as the uprising in Syria, separatists in Mali and reports of the Taliban infiltrating the Afghan army.
Police briefed representatives of the local Islamic community in Melbourne on Wednesday afternoon saying 11 properties had been raided.
Islamic Council of Victoria president Ramzi el Sayed said Al-Furqan was on the fringes of the Muslim community and its leader, Sheik Haron, was not a member of the mainstream Muslim society.
He said the organisation also held Islamic classes and had recreational facilities which it used to attract younger people.
The raids were carried out in the suburbs of Narre Warren South, Craigieburn, Hallam, Officer, Springvale South and Noble Park.
The AFP's acting counter terrorism national manager Justine Saunders described the arrest as a positive outcome for the two agencies, which are committed to preventing terrorist activity.
"The result of today's operation demonstrates the importance of operations undertaken by Australia's Joint Counter Terrorism Teams, and is an example of proactive law enforcement action to prevent terrorist activity in Australia," Ms Saunders said in the joint statement.
"The AFP is committed to working with state and territory police, and the community in order to counter the ongoing and enduring threat of terrorism and ensure the safety and security of the community."
Mr el Sayed commended the police for consulting with the Islamic community as events unfolded.
"They carried out the raids showing a lot of respect including telling the women at some of the houses that they were coming in and for them to put on their headgear and scarves," he told AAP on Wednesday night.
"The whole landscape of terrorism is a tough area. It's a very fine line between what constitutes an offence and what doesn't.
"We have had some high-profile raids in the past and one of the outcomes was that we should be debriefed so we can be better prepared for the response rather than being on the backfoot."
Three Islamic extremists were jailed in December for 18 years over a 2009 plot to kill as many Australian soldiers as they could at Sydney's Holsworthy Army Base.
Victorian Supreme Court Justice Betty King told Wissam Mahmoud Fattal, 35, Saney Edow Aweys, 28, and Nayef El Sayed, 27, they should hang their heads in shame.
The trio plans to fight the convictions while prosecutors are also appealing their sentences. Two other Melbourne men were cleared by a jury over their alleged roles.
Fairfax reported the men arrested on Wednesday were Australian residents with a mixture of cultural backgrounds.
It said one whose house was raided condemned the police and intelligence services in a Facebook posting.
"And look at the tactics. They come early in the morning (6am) and break the door of the markaz and about 20-30 come to the door of my neighbour as well. He (the neighbour) is overseas and has no control over what's happening over here," he wrote.
"In the house are only his wife and children who have been followed in the house even to the point that one policewomen has to go with them when they change clothes!
"Also, there are two police cars parked in the front of units to check who is entering and exiting the units! Also, there are brothers living in the nearby house who have also being raided."
ASIO warns of rise in home-grown terrorism
ABC News
By chief political correspondent Simon Cullen
Tue Sep 4, 2012 5:19pm AEST
The nation's spy chief says Australia is increasingly at risk of home-grown terrorism.
Australian Security Intelligence Organisation (ASIO) director-general David Irvine says there has been a rise in the efforts of some Australians to support violent jihad, although the number remains "very small" in absolute terms.
"It's a fact that we continue to have in Australia people who believe that violence is the way to fulfil perceived religious obligations," Mr Irvine told a security in government conference.
"They reject outright Australia's right to democratic self-governance and our separation of church and state."
Mr Irvine says a mixture of good work and good luck has prevented more large-scale attacks like those seen on September 11, 2001.
Though, he says it would be dangerous to assume all future terrorism plots will be detected.
"The threat will remain as long as the proponents of violent jihad stay committed to the promotion of their objectives by violent means," he said.
"The suicide bomber, with an absolute belief in martyrdom leading to a blessed eternity in another world, remains a particularly dangerous phenomenon."
Mr Irvine says the security issue is not so much their beliefs but that they are prepared to use extremely violent measures to achieve their goals.
"We're seeing at the moment less importation of foreign terrorists... but of concern is a rise in efforts by Australians who wish to support acts of terrorism in Australia or travel overseas," he said.
He says ASIO is aware of a small but steady number of Australians seeking to travel overseas for terrorist training or to participate in armed conflict.
The ASIO boss says the intelligence agency is currently dealing with about 200 active counter-terrorism investigations.

Convicted Islamic Terrorist,Belal Saadallah Khazaal, High Court of Australia denies appeal.
The Daily Telegraph
June 30, 2011
A FORMER Qantas cabin cleaner who was jailed for writing a "do-it-yourself'' terrorism jihad book could be released on bail within days.
Belal Saadallah Khazaal, 42, has been behind bars since September 2008, after the NSW Supreme Court found him guilty of making a document between September 20 and October 28, 2003 connected with assistance in a terrorist act, knowing of that connection.
He had been sentenced to at least nine years behind bars.
But earlier this month the NSW Court of Criminal Appeal allowed an appeal against Khazaal's conviction, and ordered a retrial.
The retrial was likely to go ahead in the next six to nine months, Justice Michael Adams told the Supreme Court on Thursday.
Khazaal's lawyer, Charles Waterstreet, urged Justice Adams to release Khazaal on bail in the meantime, given that he had previously complied with ``the most onerous bail conditions the court had ever granted'' from June 2004 until he was jailed in September 2008.
``He was not allowed to use the internet, he was not allowed to use the phone without notice, he was not allowed to leave the house except for prayers, he was not allowed to mix with anyone other than his family,'' Mr Waterstreet said.
Despite that, he had obeyed the bail conditions and had appeared for his trial.
``Very rarely do you have a case of very serious charges and a compliance with bail for several years,'' he said.
He argued that Khazaal had been jailed in a maximum security arrangement that was ``one level down from Guantanamo Bay'', and that his two children, aged 13 and 14, needed their father to be with them.
Appearing with the aid of an interpreter, Khazaal's brother-in-law, Hissam Alyassine, agreed to put up his house, valued at $460,000, as surety that Khazaal would meet his bail conditions.
In addition, Khazaal's two brothers, who were at the court, agreed they would each undertake to deposit $200,000 as surety.
Crown prosecutor Peter Neil SC opposed bail.
Justice Adams said he would make a decision in the next few days.
The matter was adjourned to a date yet to be fixed.

Turkish ambassador to Australia demands removal of Assyrian Genocide memorial, or else………………….
Turkey threatens to delay Gallipoli survey in statue row
Daily Telegraph
September 29, 2010 5:16PM
TURKEY may delay a survey of its
battlefields with New Zealand and Australia in protest at a World War I monument built in Australia, the Turkish ambassador said Wednesday.
Oguz Ozge, Turkey's ambassador to Australia and New Zealand, told Radio New Zealand that the monument in Sydney, which commemorates the deaths of around 750,000 Assyrians, was "quite unacceptable."
The monument, erected by Assyrian community leaders, refers to the alleged killing of the Assyrians by Ottoman troops as "genocide". Government minister Chris Bowen was photographed at its unveiling last month.
"This is quite concerning to the Turkish government, and as long as remedial action is not taken we intend to do something on the part of the Turkish government," Mr Ozge said.
Archaeologists from Turkey, New Zealand and Australia are next week due to begin mapping the Gallipoli peninsula, the scene of a bloody World War I offensive seen as a key moment in Australian and New Zealand history.
A final decision to suspend the Gallipoli survey had not yet been taken, but Mr Ozge said it "could be, until we find a way out".
"We hope to see the Australian government do something about (the monument)" he said.
"We are in touch with the Australian authorities ... It is our intention to find a way out which would be satisfactory to us all," he added.
Ian McGibbon, New Zealand's representative in the Gallipoli survey, said the row had cast next week's trip to Turkey into doubt, adding that the project had been several years in the making.
"I suspect it may eventually be next year now," Mr McGibbon told NZPA.
"I guess we just wait until the issue is resolved."
Mr McGibbon said the exercise aimed to provide a detailed archaeological map of the battlefields, where 11,500 Australian and New Zealand troops died in an offensive aimed at wresting the Dardanelles Strait from the Ottoman Empire, the predecessor of modern Turkey.
Turkey's foreign minister had earlier condemned the monument in Sydney's south-west, blaming people who "want to poison the perfect relations between Australia and Turkey and intend to rewrite history for political gain".
Vandals have attacked the monument, spray-painting it with the words, "Assyrian dogs", and the Turkish flag.
Perhaps Sydney’s “Muslim community “ will start desecrating Australian War Memorials if we don’t demolish this Assyrian Genocide Memorial.
Note the desecration of the Australian continent on the Globe, with the Islamic terrorist insignia, their “Moon God’s” crescent and star.

FAIRFIELD, Australia (AINA) — The recently erected Assyrian Genocide Monument has been vandalized and painted with a Turkish crescent and star.
According to Fairfield police, the vandalism occurred around 4 AM. The police thus far have no leads on the perpetrators.
The vandals painted a Turkish crescent and star on the monument’s globe, which sits on a pedestal resembling a hand, as well as spray painted the words: “fuck Assyrian dogs” and “fuck Assyria” on the left and forward sides of the base of the monument. The plaque at the front of the monument was also removed.
According to the Fairfield City Champion, a local newspaper, a war memorial in Fairfield Park, dedicated to Australian and Assyrian soldiers who fought together, was also vandalized with a mixture of concrete and paint.
The monument’s desecration comes as no surprise to the local community, which erected the structure on August 7. Assyrian community leaders had privately expressed concerns about the safety of the monument immediately after its dedication ceremony.
The monument is dedicated to the 750,000 Assyrians that were killed by Turks in World War One, between 1915 and 1918.
