Who will the United States of America choose, Husseine Obama's Indonesia or the USA'S oldest ally?

No less than two days ago I spoke to a former Australian serviceman, who served alongside and healed American and Australian soldiers in World War Two  for four years., so as to ensure the freedom of the Pacific as we know it today
I am not at liberty to reveal where and when, suffice to say my"informant" is 101 years of age and has recently finished his fourth book.

I dared not burden him with proof of the  futility of his and his fellow Warriors, Australian and American's countless acts of self sacrifice and unimaginable courage, repelling an enemy who's only purpose was to destroy and occupy his and my country, Australia and from there the world.

Australia is,today, Australia, because of the sacrifice of Australia's finest and the sacrifice of America's finest.

Today 2014 only one nation has a leader who still believes in the virtue of the US Australian alliance ....Why?

P.S. Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott is not a Muslim.

Indonesia appeals to it's favourite Son, Husseine Obama to assist in it's Islamic Colonisation of Australia, as more US troops are based on Australian soil.

Australian PM Tony Abbott should immediately order the disarmament of,and place all US Military personnel on Australian soil under "house arrest" until such time as Indonesia's favourite Son in the White House aka. POTUS. Husseine Obama makes a clear and unambigious statement refuting the Indonesians/Islams right / claims to colonise Australia with Muslims via the previous Rudd / Gillard/ Rudd Union GetUp funded Australian Labor Green "Co Party" Governments joint criminal enterprise immigration policy of Open Borders aka. Islamic Colonisation of Australia by Stealth.

Under the Husseine Obama regime Australia can no longer regard America as an ally, but more as a Nation who has not once but twice voted for the ascendancy of the Islamic manifesto as promised by their President.

Indonesia to raise Australian asylum seeker policy with United States
ABC
By Helen Brown in Jakarta, staff

Indonesia says it will raise the Abbott Government's asylum seeker policy with the United States during official talks next week.

Jakarta has stepped up its protest to the Coalition's boat turn-back policy, calling in the Australian ambassador in Jakarta for a meeting with a senior official.

Indonesia's foreign affairs minister Marty Natalegawa says a strong protest message was given to Australian ambassador Greg Moriarty over the use of lifeboats to send asylum seekers back.

Dr Natalegawa says Australia was already violating its international commitments, but the use of lifeboats to send people back is an escalation.

"What Australia has been doing is a bigger development than before," he said.

"In the past when they have turned back the boats, or pulled the refugee boats back to Indonesia, that alone is a violation against their international commitment under the Refugee Convention.

"But this time it has escalated."

Dr Natalegawa told reporters Indonesia does what it can to stop boats leaving the country and that Australia's actions are "against the values of humanity".

He says he will inform US secretary of state John Kerry - who will visit Jakarta next week - about Australia's actions and let officials draw their own conclusions.

"There is no need to ask; we only need to inform it, and let America draw its own conclusion," he said.

Dr Natalegawa says he will discuss Australia's policy with other countries as well.

Claims Australia is 'reachable' by Indonesia's air force as border stoush hits new lows

  •  Military presence in southern waters has been increased
  • Radar centres facing Australia are on alert
  • Air Force base in Makassar makes our country 'reachable'
  • Follows admission sovereign waters had been breached

INDONESIA has beefed up its military presence in waters off its southern border as military officials claim its air force is ready and that Australia is "reachabale" if there are any more border violations.

Indonesian military officials have today told the Jakarta Post its Navy warships, including frigates, fast torpedo craft and corvettes as well as maritime patrol aircraft, have been deployed to waters off its southern border.

Four Air Force defence radars have also been programmed to closely monitor the area.

"We are watching four radars in Timika, Merauke (in Papua), Saumlaki (Maluku) and Buraen (East Nusa Tenggara), which all face Australia," Air Force chief spokesman Air Commodore Hadi Tjahjanto told The Jakarta Post.

USA Germany Russia supply Tanks F16's, Apache attack helicopters and Submarines to Indonesia as Indonesia continues to demand Australia cease defending its borders from Indonesian based Insurgents / asylum seekers

If we notice any border violations, our air base in Makassar will be ready. Australia is reachable from there."

The Post said the base referred to was the Sultan Hasanuddin Air Force Base in the South Sulawesi provincial capital, home the 11th squadron of 16 Russian-made Sukhoi Su-27/30 Flankers.

The newspaper said the flankers have a maximum range of some 3,000 kilometers. The sea border lies some 1,000 km from Makassar. At Mach 1, or the speed of sound, the Flankers would reach the border in little over an hour.

Comment is being sought from Prime Minister Tony Abbott's office and the Australian Defence Force.

The developments come after Australia admitted last week it had accidentally breached Indonesia's sovereignty during asylum seeker missions in recent weeks.

Professor Damien Kingsbury from Deakin University told News.com.au: "Indonesia has always been pensive about its territorial integrity and Australia has played a role in that in the past."

"There's a sensitivity about that. If Indonesia did that to Australia we'd be very upset, if not more so," he said.

The Australian Government apologised to Indonesia after Navy vessels "inadvertently" breached Indonesia's territory "on several occasions" in recent weeks.

Australia's relationship with Indonesia has hit rocky waters recently, particularly because of the government's 'turn back the boats' policy and allegations from US intelligence whistleblower Edward Snowden that Australia spied on the country's president, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, and his wife, Ani in 2009.

Professor Clive Williams, from Australian National University's Centre of Military and Security Law, hosed down concerns, saying it was just rhetoric that was good for Indonesia's politicians ahead of looming elections.

But he said Australia had blundered last week by admitting the sovereignty violations, which then demanded a response.

"It's probably good mileage for politicians in Indonesian to be extra nationalistic," he said.

"I would doubt whether they would follow through on that - it's very much for home consumption. The stupidity on our part was admitting we'd entered their waters. That was necessary on our part and has just created problems."

Indonesia demands immediate cessation of Australian Border Protection and orders Indonesian Navy ships into its Indian Ocean coastline.

This is the best I have ever heard from these clowns. Demanding that the Australian Government of Tony Abbott return to the Union, GetUp funded, Labor / Green Loon Co Party goverment's of Lu Kewen aka. Why would these self described "Progressive" Labor Green Loons demand that Australia be colonised by followers a seventh century Mass murderer, Slave Trader, Misogynist Paedophile ?
Why would "Progressives" demand and indeed facilitate the importation of such people into a Judeo Christian Western Democracy like Australia?

Operation Sovereign Borders: Royal Australian Navy accused of entering Indonesian waters in fight against Insurgents

Navy in breach of Jakarta's waters during Operation Sovereign Borders

Brendan Nicholson and Paul Maley
The Australian
January 17,2014

Insurgents and their Labor Green Loon Progressive supporters (sponsors) whine they were tricked by Royal Australian Navy and repelled to base camp in Indonesia.

AN investigation by the Australian Defence Force has confirmed that at least one Royal Australian Navy vessel implementing the Coalition's border-protection policy has breached Indonesian territorial waters.

The Australian has also confirmed border-protection authorities have begun using lifeboats to return asylum-seekers to Indonesia, a method used for a boatload of people intercepted near Christmas Island last week.

During the past week the navy had been investigating allegations made by people-smugglers and asylum-seekers that Australian Border Protection Command vessels had breached Indonesia's 12-nautical mile limit while towing boats back from Australian waters.

They also claimed that crew members mistreated asylum-seekers by holding them against hot engine parts to inflict burns and by withholding food supplies.

All of these allegations were strongly rejected by Defence Force chief David Hurley, Immigration Minister Scott Morrison and the general in charge of Operation Sovereign Borders, Angus Campbell.

They said the Australian personnel conducted themselves professionally and responsibly.

The Australian has confirmed that the navy's examination of records and global positioning system data revealed yesterday that at least one vessel on border-protection duty under Operation Sovereign Borders entered Indonesian waters while returning an asylum-seeker boat.

While the Abbott government has thrown a cloak of secrecy over border-protection operations, two groups of asylum-seekers have claimed in interviews that they were on boats taken back to Indonesia by the navy.

They claimed that some who objected were handcuffed and otherwise restrained and ill-treated.

One boat was said to have been picked up near Darwin on January 1 and towed for five days before being cut loose near Rote Island. Another was said to have been towed back in December.

Naval crews have been caught between the need to avoid breaching Indonesian waters and ensuring that boats they are turning or towing back to that country arrive safely.

In Jakarta, a spokesman for Djoko Suyanto, the Co-ordinating Minister for Politics, Security and Law, said there had not been an Indonesian complaint about any breach of its territorial waters.

"We have no evidence" of a breach, the spokesman said.

He said the Co-ordinating Minister's office was aware of only two asylum-seeker boats turned back by the Australians, which landed on Rote Island on December 19 and January 6.

About 90 people from those boats were being transferred to immigration detention centres in Sumatra, Riau and

Central Java, he said. Mr Djoko's office has been given top responsibility for handling the boatpeople dispute with Australia.

The Australian has been told a large lifeboat was used to ferry passengers of a boat en route to Christmas Island back to Indonesia. The boat was intercepted by border protection personnel after being observed by the crew of an RAAF Orion patrol aircraft.

It is unclear whether anyone went into the water at any point, but sources agree the asylum boat was disabled and that the Australian Navy was on the scene.

"The boat was sinking," one source said.

It is understood the boat was deliberately sabotaged by some of the passengers, rendering it unseaworthy.

Customs and Border Protection Command placed the asylum-seekers on a large lifeboat, deemed by the authorities to be a "safe platform", and returned it to Indonesia.

It is not clear whether the boat sailed to Indonesia under its own steam or whether it was escorted by Indonesian officials. Nor is it known how many asylum-seekers were on the boat, nor where the boat eventually landed.

Mr Morrison declined to comment on the incident.

"For operational security reasons, the government does not confirm or otherwise comment on reports of on-water activities in relation to Operation Sovereign Borders or disclose details of any operations," he said.

Mr Morrison also denied reports Customs and Border Protection personnel had fired warning shots into the air as they intercepted an asylum boat, which was reportedly then redirected by Australian authorities back to Indonesia.

"Without commenting on any specific alleged incident, I can confirm that no shots have been fired at any time by any persons involved in Operation Sovereign Borders since the operation commenced," Mr Morrison said.

Two days ago, Lieutenant-General Campbell confirmed the purchase of lifeboats, although he would not say what they would be used for. It was not clear whether the lifeboat used in the operation was one referred to by General Campbell or another craft.

Indonesia's Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa criticised the Abbott government's apparent intention to put asylum-seekers into lifeboats and escort them back to Indonesia as "a slippery slope".

Dr Natalegawa's comments suggest the Indonesians will take an even dimmer view of using lifeboats than they do of turning back fishing boats carrying asylum-seekers.

"It's one thing to turn back the actual boats on which (asylum-seekers) have been travelling but another issue when they have actually been transferred to another boat and actually been facilitated and actually told to go that direction," he told the ABC.

"To be zeroing in on issues ... in a manner that tends to divide is not helpful."

Last week's incident is the first known occasion when lifeboats were used to ferry asylum-seekers back into Indonesian waters.

Bill Shorten said he respected the work of ADF personnel but he attacked what he said was a government "culture of secrecy".

"I don't want to see Australian servicemen and servicewomen caught up as the meat in an Abbott-Morrison secrecy sandwich on our boats," the Opposition Leader said.

The government has offered Labor's immigration spokesman Richard Marles and Mr Shorten a full briefing on progress in Operation Sovereign Borders - an offer to be taken up when parliament resumes next month.

Malevolent shysters are damaging Australia / Australian Government Issues HIGH Degree of CAUTION for travel in Indonesia for Australian's

Malevolent shysters are damaging Australia

Andrew Bolt
Herald Sun
November 21,2013

WHAT self-serving, malevolent shysters - deliberately damaging Australia and blaming Tony Abbott for it. Who are these hypocrites who betray Australia, peddle a traitor's leaks and demand we surrender to Indonesia, just to destroy a Prime Minister they hate?

Blog all day with Andrew Bolt

Let's start with the clowns. On Tuesday, ABC managing director Mark Scott insisted the ABC was right to join the far-Left Guardian Australia in publishing secret intelligence stolen from the US National Security Agency by the American traitor Edward Snowden.

Scott said it was in the "public interest" to reveal Australia in 2009 monitored the phones of Indonesian leaders, even though he knew it would hurt his country.

"Yes, I appreciate that the release of some of this material might … cause some difficulties with the Australian-Indonesian relationship in the short term."

That is putting it mildly. These reports from the ABC and Guardian, revealing Australia monitored the phones of even President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and his wife, haven't just led Indonesia to formally downgrade our relationship.

Nor have they simply goaded Indonesia into threatening to withhold co-operation in fighting terrorists and people smugglers, potentially putting Australians in more danger and tempting more boat people to risk their lives at sea. They will also boost support for any anti-Western nationalists in Indonesia's presidential elections next year. God knows what that might cost us.

Scott airily waved all this away, but get this. The next day he discovered there was indeed one secret too damaging to publish: how much the taxpayer-funded ABC pays its star presenters.

Scott today raged at length about this terrible leaking of information the ABC fought for three years to keep secret.

"Payroll information should be confidential. It shouldn't leak!" shrieked the head of a news outfit that made serial leaker Julian Assange a hero. Why, this leak "puts us at a significant disadvantage to our competitors".

Can you believe this guy, who had no trouble publishing secrets that put his whole country "at a significant disadvantage to our competitors"?

But Scott's hypocrisy is trumped by the Greens'. In 1999, Greens leader Bob Brown was demanding an "international peacekeeping force" invade Indonesia, if that's what it took to free East Timor. But now? These same Greens are shocked - shocked - that we tapped the phones of Indonesian leaders and they cry crocodile tears at "the damage that the unregulated surveillance state is doing to our diplomatic relationships".

Are these people mad? Have they forgotten that Indonesia, today a democracy under a friendly ex-general, was only recently less benign and tomorrow might be again? Don't they realise the phonetapping in 2009 occurred only a month after yet another Islamist bombing, this one killing three Australians in Jakarta, when Australia needed to know how serious Indonesia was in tackling extremists? Of course, the Greens are simply adolescents in permanent revolt against Father. They are at heart irresponsible, not to be trusted with real power.

But what excuse is there for Labor leader Bill Shorten? On Tuesday he sided with the Greens, Fairfax journalists and extremist Islamist group Hizb ut Tahrir in demanding Abbott apologise to Indonesia.

"I believe, for instance, that the example of the United States in the way that it handled a similar issue with Germany provides the opportunity for us to consider the same course of action," he told Parliament. Shorten was referring to President Barack Obama's response to another Snowden leak, which revealed the US had monitored the calls of German Chancellor Angela Merkel. Obama - foolishly - rang Merkel to apologise and, his spokesman said, "assured the Chancellor that the US is not monitoring and will not monitor the communications of Chancellor Merkel".

BUT Indonesia is not Germany. And, if Abbott gives such a guarantee to Indonesia, he'll be under pressure to give the same to the leaders of Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia and whoever else demands one. And if the next Snowden leak shows us spying on Chinese leaders, what does Abbott do next?

No wonder two Labor frontbenchers are already back-pedalling. Tony Burke today refused to spell out what Shorten actually wanted Abbott to say to Yudhoyono: "I'm not going to add to the words Bill Shorten put forward."

Immigration spokesman Richard Marles was just as skittish, refusing to confirm whether Shorten truly wanted Abbott to say to Yudhoyono what Obama said to Merkel. So what the hell does Shorten really want?

I suspect it's to embarrass Abbott and sink his successful campaign to stop the boats - a campaign that relies on Indonesia's help.

The Fairfax media, mad with Abbott hate, is doing its best to help, seeming at times to blame Abbott for spying actually done under the Rudd government. Worse, Fairfax writers are virtually united in insisting Abbott give Indonesia the apology we cannot afford. Indeed, most are on Indonesia's side. Don't doubt that. Hatred of Abbott and his signature boats policy is driving much of this hysterical media coverage and damn the national interest. Hear it from Jack Waterford, of the Fairfax Canberra Times: "There are many people, including me, who want to see our shameful policies fail."

Hear it also from Richard Ackland, of the Fairfax Sydney Morning Herald, suggesting the Indonesian President sends an armada to topple Abbott: "Best way for SBY to respond to spying is to open the spigot on refugees. Put 50,000 on boats, point them at Oz. Goodbye Abbott."

The hypocrites. The scoundrels. And is it too much to say they've sold out their country?

We advise you to exercise a high degree of caution in Indonesia, including Bali, at this time due to the high threat of
terrorist attack. You should also be aware of the severe penalties for narcotics offences, including the death penalty; some specific health risks; and risks associated with natural disasters.

Pay close attention to your personal security at all times and monitor the media for information about possible new safety or security risks.
We continue to receive information that indicates that terrorists may be planning attacks in Indonesia, which could take place at any time.

Terrorist groups remain active throughout Indonesia despite police disruptions. Police continue to conduct operations against these groups and have stated publicly that terrorist suspects remaining at large may seek to attack Western targets.

You should exercise particular caution around locations that have a low level of protective security and avoid places known to be possible terrorist targets. See the Safety and security section of this advice for details.

Terrorists have previously attacked or planned to attack places where Westerners gather, including nightclubs, bars, restaurants, international hotels, airports and places of worship in Bali, Jakarta and elsewhere in Indonesia. These types of venues could be targeted again.
Local police advise that a demonstration is planned for outside the Australian Embassy on 21 November 2013 .

Australians should monitor local media, avoid protests, maintain high levels of vigilance and security awareness.

Australians should expect traffic delays and restricted access to and from the Embassy at the time of the demonstration.
You should telephone ahead for an appointment before going to the Australian Embassy (See Where to get help section).

Australians planning to participate in “Schoolies” events in Bali in November 2013 should see our Schoolies page for information for staying safe.
Indonesia is subject to a range of natural disasters including volcanoes, earthquakes, tsunamis and floods. You should pay close attention to emergency procedures and monitor local warnings.

Visitors to Indonesia, particularly to tourist locations such as Bali and Lombok, should be aware of the specific risks from crime, and from drink-spiking and consumption of alcohol adulterated with harmful substances such as methanol.

Tourists may also be exposed to scams and credit card/ATM fraud (see under Crime for more information).
Petty crime, such as opportunistic theft, is common in Indonesia. Thieves on motorcycles may snatch handbags and backpacks from pedestrians. Tourists may be exposed to scams and confidence tricks in Indonesia. Legal disputes are common regarding the purchase of real estate including land, houses, holiday clubs and time share schemes.

You should exercise normal beach safety behaviour and consider carefully the risks involved in using motorcycles, including licence and insurance issues (see under Local travel for more information).

Visitors should be aware that there is a risk of rabies throughout Indonesia, in particular Bali and Nias. See under Health for advice to Australians travelling to or resident in Indonesia.

We advise you to reconsider your need to travel to Central Sulawesi, Maluku, Papua and West Papua provinces where additional safety and security risks exist. Since October 2012, a number of violent incidents have been reported in Poso, Central Sulawesi.

Since July 2009, there has been a series of violent attacks in the area around the Freeport Mine in Papua province. A number of these incidents have resulted in deaths, including of one Australian. Attacks were reported in the area in March and April 2013. Further such attacks could occur. Information indicates that attacks may be planned near the area of operation of the Freeport mine.

Ongoing violence in Puncak Jaya District in Papua Province has led to a number of deaths in recent years, including most recently in February 2013 in Tingginambut and Sinak. There is a possibility of further attacks in Papua and West Papua provinces, including attacks on infrastructure and national institutions.

Because of the high threat of terrorist attack in Indonesia we strongly recommend that you register your travel and contact details with us so we can contact you in an emergency.

Stopping Islamic Colonization of Australia: Australian PM Warns Indonesia "that his pledge to turn back the boats is a matter of "sovereignty''

Abbott describes 'disappointment' as Australia accepts boat people in stand-off with Indonesia

Samantha Maiden
National Political Editor
The Daily Telegraph
November 9, 2013

TONY Abbott has warned Indonesia that his pledge to turn back the boats is a matter of "sovereignty'' after Australia agreed to back down and accept a boatload of 63 asylum seekers.

Sky News Australia, along with "Their SBS " and  "Their ABC" is a Loyal and valued  propaganda / publicity arm of the Progressive Left and  Islamic Sociopath's Inc. Taquiyha network of enlightened and progressive Journalists.

After a three-day ocean stand off, Australia agreed to accept the asylum seekers today despite the fact they were rescued just 43 nautical miles off Java.

Labor has compared the capitulation with Kevin Rudd's disastrous Oceanic Viking saga but the Coalition said Indonesia had agreed to accept a number of asylum-seeker boats back since the Coalition was elected.

Senior Liberal sources have confirmed that the Prime Minister believed it was still possible Indonesia would have eventually accepted the asylum-seekers but did not want the stand-off to drag on into the opening of Parliament and overshadow the carbon tax debate.

While Australia had requested that the boatload of 63 suspected asylum-seekers picked up close to Java be returned,

Indonesian officials were still considering the request.

"We will have disappointments. But we will succeed,'' Mr Abbott told a Liberal Party Conference in Perth today.

"We will never again tolerate a situation where an important part of our immigration program has been subcontracted out to people smugglers.

"This is an issue of sovereignty for us. We have good relations with Indonesia. But we will stop these boats."

On Friday, an Indonesian official Djoko Suyanto warned Indonesia would not accept the asylum-seekers.

"The Indonesian government NEVER AGREED to such wishes or policies of Australia,'' he said.

"There is NO CHANGE of policy."

After warning on Friday he would not be providing "shipping news'' on the boat stand off, the Abbott Government broke with recent protocol and issued a statement on the resolution of the stand-off.

Immigration Minister Scott Morrison confirmed that Border Protection had first responded to a request for assistance on Thursday.

Because the incident took place within close proximity to the Indonesian coast, "a request was made, consistent with our standing practice under Operation Sovereign Borders, to transfer the passengers rescued to Indonesia, in accordance with international search and rescue protocols."

"On two recent occasions, Indonesia has agreed to these requests and facilitated an on water transfer,'' Mr Morrison said.

"The Indonesian Government has advised Australian officials overnight that they are reviewing the request put forward by Australia.

"While we welcome Indonesia's review of our request, in the best interests of the safety of the passengers and crew of the rescued vessel and the Australian vessel that has been rendering assistance, earlier this morning I requested

Lieutenant General Campbell to transfer the persons rescued from the SAR incident to Christmas Island for rapid onward transfer to Manus Island or Nauru. They will not be resettled in Australia."

But Labor's immigration spokesman Richard Marles said the back down was embarrassing.

"The diplomacy of the Abbott Government with Indonesia around asylum seekers has been absolutely inept.

"What we have seen is the embarrassing spectacle of the Abbott Government seeking to dictate terms to the

Indonesia Government. This is school year diplomacy backed up by half-hearted resolve and it is a sad embarrassment."

"So today, I call upon the Prime Minister and Minster Morrison to end this farce, to end this culture of secrecy."

The Greens said Mr Abbott's border protection policy was "in tatters."

Indonesia says it will absolutely not take back Insurgents

The Bol;t Report 29913 and Australian PM Tony Abbott turns back Muslim Insurgents from Indonesia

Tony Abbott scores his first big win over boats

Andrew Bolt
Herald Sun
September 30,2013

TONY Abbott has done what Labor said was impossible - sent boat people right back to Indonesia.

This game-changing achievement, done twice with zero fuss, puts the lie to claims by Labor and hopeful journalists that the Abbott Government’s relations with Indonesia were already rocky.

Even more, it exposes as a fraud Labor’s claim that sending boat people back to Indonesia could not, and even should not, be done.

On Friday, HMAS Ballarat returned 44 asylum seekers picked up in the Sunda Strait and transferred them to an Indonesian coast guard vessel to be brought back to Java.

Also on Friday, Australian Customs vessel Triton saved 34 other asylum seekers off Rote Island and transferred them to the Indonesian rescue agency Basarnas.

Both transfers are yet to be confirmed by the Abbott Government, which seems overly secretive but is utterly determined to slow the frantic media cycle and to take any heat out of the Indonesian relationship.

But neither transfer could have happened without goodwill from the Indonesian Government - and particularly from President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, who has shown more warmth to Abbott than he did to Kevin Rudd and Julia Gillard.

Neither Rudd nor Gillard seemed able to do what Abbott has now done in his first fortnight in power.

Under Labor, boat people “saved” or intercepted by our Navy in Indonesian waters were sent not to Indonesia, but to Christmas Island.

Labor / Green Loon Muslim  Insurgent Supporters and Facilitators march in a show of support for their preferred Australian Citizens and their "right" to Colonize Australia under the Labor Green Loon Joint Criminal Enterprise  Refugee SCAM introduced by Lu Kewen aka. Kevin 07 and supported by Madame Gillard and the former Australian Marxist  Labor / Green Loon Minority "Co Party" Federal Government led by Lu Kewen Madame Gillard and then Lu Kewen.

In August last year, for instance, 80 boat people were rescued just 43km off Indonesia’s coast, yet were ferried back to Australia.

Two months ago, 101 more were saved less than 100km from Java but also ferried to Australia. Labor insisted there was no way Abbott could do it any differently under his “turn back the boats” policy.

Just last June, Rudd warned Abbott’s policy would “risk some sort of conflict with Indonesia”. What rubbish.

The drownings must stop. Sending boat people back to where they came from is a critical first step, and Abbott’s first big win.

Muslim extremists in Indonesia are regrouping despite a decade long crackdown.

International Crisis Group's Sidney Jones on threat of terrorism

Sidney Jones Jakarta
A new report says Muslim extremists in Indonesia are regrouping despite a decade long crackdown. The deadliest networks have been weakened but Islamists are finding each other and building new cells on the run, in prison and through internet forums. Anti militant groups have divided cells like Jemaah Islamia - the group blamed for the 2002 Bali Bombings - but smaller groups have formed. The report from the International Crisis Group warns that the threat of terrorism is far from over.

Outrage at Indonesian court verdict

Daily Telegraph

August 15, 2011 6:29PM

AN Indonesian court has jailed a minority sect member for six months for defending himself and others from a lynch mob which killed three of his friends earlier this year.

The sentence is the same or stiffer than those handed out last month to 12 Islamic extremists who led the mob in the February rampage, including a teenager who was filmed crushing one victim's head with a stone.

Human rights activists expressed outrage that one of those wounded by the mob should be jailed for longer than the leaders of the violence.

A panel of judges today found Ahmadiyah sect member Deden Sudjana guilty of ill-treatment and ignoring an order to evacuate the sect's property in Cikeusik, western Java, as the armed mob arrived.

"The defendant failed to act following the police order to evacuate," one of the judges told Serang district court.

"Video footage shows the defendant started punching a man with a black jacket."

Wearing a traditional batik shirt, the 48-year old defendant heard the sentence in stunned silence. Later he told AFP he was "disappointed" with the ruling.

"It's embarrassing. I'm purely a victim who has been criminalised in my own country," he told AFP.

"There was no police order to evacuate and I hit the man because he entered our house of worship, calling us infidels, and ordered people to kill us. Isn't it normal that I hit the man as an act of self-defence?"

Human Rights Watch deputy Asia director Elaine Pearson said: "The inconsistency between the trials of those who killed the Ahmadiyah and the trial of Deden Sudjana is appalling and smacks of injustice.

"Those responsible for the deaths of three Ahmadis got three to six months, and Sudjana also got six months - seems like the Ahmadiyah face blatant discrimination not just from Islamic militant mobs, but also from an Indonesian court."

One of the mob, members of Indonesia's majority Sunni sect, almost severed Sudjana's left hand with a machete during the February 6 onslaught, which pitted about 20 Ahmadiyah followers against around 1,500 enraged fanatics.

A secretly filmed video of the Cikeusik rampage sparked international concern when it appeared online within days of the attack.

The footage shows police fleeing the scene as the mob - armed with machetes and knives and shouting abuse at the "infidels" - launched their attack.

A handful of Ahmadiyah men tried to defend the property with stones and slingshots but were quickly overwhelmed.

Medan Indonesia’s worst City, Muslims face wrong way to Mecca

Worst. City. Ever.
ADAM GARTRELL SMH July 19, 2010

Dear Medan. I hate you.

I visited you recently and found you the most unpleasant, charmless and thoroughly depressing city I've ever encountered. And I've visited plenty of s---holes in my time.

Now, when it comes to big Indonesian cities I have pretty low expectations.

I live in Jakarta, the biggest of them all, so I know what I'm in for: traffic, pollution, heat, noise, chaos, the stench of human waste.

And you, Medan - Indonesia's third biggest city - you provided all those things. In great abundance.

In fact, even though your population, at three million, is a quarter that of Jakarta's, I reckon you're worse on just about every count.

Quite an achievement.

But Medan, you're awful not just because of your many failings but because you appear to have no redeeming qualities whatsoever.

You're slim pickin's for hotels, you don't seem to boast a single, decent restaurant and from what I've heard, you've got no real nightlife.

Your airport is a Boschian nightmare, your roads a mess, your buses an embarrassment and your taxis ... well, if I ever find one I'll let you know.

And ever heard of trees?

21 7 2010 Worst. City

Okay, so you have a big mosque but it's also the closest thing you've got to a tourist attraction. And you have a few shopping malls but what city doesn't?

I understand now why you consistently feature on people's "Worst. City. Ever." lists.

You're at the very top of mine.

Okay, I admit, there's a personal element to this. See, I got robbed in one of your hotels.

It wasn't a very nice hotel. It promotes itself as a four star hotel when in actual fact it's closer to a two. But that's fine. I don't need luxury and it cost less than $100 a night.

Except, in the end, it actually cost a couple of grand. Because while I was out one night scouring the streets for a decent meal - in vain, of course - someone broke into my room and stole a giant wad of company cash from my suitcase.

Why did I have a giant wad of cash, you ask? Well, because Indonesia is a mostly cash economy, so I'm forced to travel with plenty of it. But why didn't I put it in the safe? Well, because the hotel didn't provide one.

And when I brought the robbery to the hotel's attention the staff were predictably - and perhaps deliberately - unhelpful.

Security staff at first said they could give me a keycard lock report, so I could see if anyone else entered my room. But then - for reasons not properly explained - they suddenly couldn't.

But that was okay, they said. They could show me the CCTV footage outside my room instead.

Oh no, wait, sorry! We don't actually know the password to review the CCTV!

Can you say "inside job"?

Needless to say I moved to a different hotel for my final night. I woke up the next morning in blood-stained sheets. Mozzies never take any interest in me but your Medan mozzies made quite a frenzied exception.

I didn't get malaria. But I did get spectacularly, violently sick about a week later from an intestinal parasite, which I'm certain I picked up from you, Medan. I just know it.

I've never been so happy to board a plane as I was the one that whisked me away from you, Medan. And I never want to see you again.

Australian PM and arse clown in chief,Mr Kevin 07 Rudd.
Australians abandoned and left to rot in Indonesian Islamic hell hole
by Kevin 07's "Fresh Thinking"

Another Billion dollars plus+++++ has just been given to the Indonesian Government by the Rudd Socialist Labor Government, thats right Australian taxpayers are TAXED from arse hole to breakfast time, in order for Rudd and his fellow International Socialist's and Marxists, that are the Australian LABOR party,to prove what great noble and compassionate"world citizens" they are.
If these Australians were international Drug Dealers the Rudd government and their cabal of bleeding heart leftists apologists would have been screaming from the hill tops that these people be released and every assistance would have been afforded them by the Australian officials and "human rights" organizations at Australian taxpayers expense.
These people are not part of Comrade Rudd's "Fresh Thinking" and "Time for Change" Socialist Revolution.

Australians remain in Papuan 'no man's land'

FIVE Australians remain stuck in "no man's land" in the Indonesian province of Papua: no longer in detention for immigration offences but prevented from returning home.

The five Queenslanders were this week granted permission to fly home after six months in detention, following a ruling by the Jayapura High Court overturning their conviction and jail terms for immigration offences.

But local prosecutors have refused to accept the decision and have lodged an appeal. That could see the five, aged in their 50s and 60s, stuck in Papua, just an hour's flight from home, for months longer.

Last night, the Australians were still stranded in the departure lounge of Merauke Airport, where their plane stands fuelled and ready to fly but guarded by Indonesian air force officers refusing to let them board.

Prosecutors have impounded the plane, saying it is evidence for their legal challenge.

Karen Burke, one of the Merauke five, yesterday pleaded with the Australian Government to do more to help.

"We're scared to death to leave," she said.

"We think if we put a foot out the front door we could be arrested on some other charges. Our position is quite precarious."

Despite being asked to return to the town of Merauke, the five Australians are staying put, believing their encampment in the small international airport puts them out of reach of authorities.

"As far as we are concerned, we are in no man's land," said another stranded Australian, Keith Mortimer.

"We are going to stay here. Mate, they are going to have to physically pick us up and take us out of here."

An Australian embassy official is in Merauke assisting the five, while diplomats in Jakarta are helping to negotiate their passage home.

On September 12 last year, pilot William Scott-Bloxam, his wife and co-pilot Vera, and passengers Keith Mortimer, Hubert Hofer and Ms Burke, landed in Mr Scott-Bloxam's light plane at Mopah airport in Merauke in Papua, where a sporadic separatist insurgency has led to tight military control.

The Australians, who say they only wanted to visit for a long weekend to investigate tourism opportunities, did not obtain visas, flight approval or security clearance before they landed.

They were arrested and convicted of immigration offences. Mr Scott-Bloxam, was sentenced to three years in jail, while the other four were given two-year sentences.

On Tuesday, the province's High Court overturned their conviction, ostensibly allowing their return home.

But prosecutors have since lodged an appeal, meaning the five are unable to leave.

A Foreign Affairs spokesman said: "This situation is distressing for the Australians and their families, and the embassy in Jakarta is discussing with the five Australians and their lawyers the next steps towards obtaining their release and return.

"We understand that the five are no longer in detention, but are unable to depart for Australia.

"They are currently at the Immigration Office at Merauke Airport endeavouring to clarify their legal status. Our embassy consular official is also assisting them in consultation with the Indonesian authorities."

Friends and family of the five told The Age they were frustrated by the new delays and the lack of information from authorities.
