"The chief weapon in the quiver of all Islamist expansionist movements, is the absolute necessity to keep victims largely unaware of the actual theology plotting their demise. To complete this deception, a large body of ‘moderates’ continue to spew such ridiculous claims as “Islam means Peace” thereby keeping non-Muslims from actually reading the Qur’an, the Sira, the Hadith, or actually looking into the past 1400 years of history. Islamists also deny or dismiss the concept of ‘abrogation’, which is the universal intra-Islamic method of replacing slightly more tolerable aspects of the religion in favor of more violent demands for Muslims to slay and subdue infidels"

Multicultural Australia: ISLAMIC State fighter Khaled Sharrouf is still alive and making threatening calls to people in Sydney over attempts by the NSW Crime Commission to seize his house.

ISLAMIC State fighter Khaled Sharrouf is still alive and making threatening calls to people in Sydney over attempts by the NSW Crime Commission to seize his house.

Law enforcement officials have uncovered numerous contacts from the terrorist, who had reportedly been killed in Syria, including a death threat made last month by a person claiming to be Sharrouf to a person in Sydney.

The threat related to ongoing legal proceedings led by the NSW Crime Commission, which is attempting to seize a house bought for Sharrouf before he left Australia.

Authorities believe the house in western Sydney was purchased by murdered standover man Joe Antoun and others linked to him.

While the house is not in Sharrouf’s name, the commission is suing its legal owner, a relative of Antoun’s, using Criminal Assets Recovery legislation. They want to seize the house because of its links to Sharrouf.
A law enforcement official said Sharrouf has no paper link to the house but remains attached to the property and doesn’t want to lose it.

“Sharrouf thinks it’s his,” the official said, adding there had been several suspected contacts from him suggesting he wasn’t dead. “He wants to foster an image he’s dead.”

A second law enforcement official said that since the initial reports of Sharrouf’s death last year there had been information coming through suggesting he was still alive, though without a public presence in Syria it was difficult for Australian authorities to verify the intelligence.

Antoun was gunned down on the doorstep of his Strathfield home in December 2013 over an unrelated matter.

The revelations come as questions continue to be posed over the fate of Sharrouf’s children, all of whom are Australian passport holders, and whether they can be brought back to Australia after reports emerged last week that Sharrouf’s wife Tara Nettleton, who took the children to Syria, died from complications with appendicitis.

She had been the main point of contact for negotiating the children’s return to Australia, a third law enforcement source said.

The official said federal authorities fell out of touch with Ms Nettleton around September last year and believe she may have died around that time.

Her mother Karen was last week photographed leaving her home with a tattoo on her arm suggesting the date of death was September 11.

Part of the reason Tara died, the official said, was because she wasn’t given priority treatment at a hospital over injured ISIS men.

Robert Van Aalst, a family friend and lawyer to the Nettleton family, declined to be interviewed but said the family was told in January that Sharrouf was dead.

He declined to say who provided the information.

Another lawyer acting for the Nettleton family, Charles Waterstreet, said he had been told the same but didn’t necessarily believe it.

“Khaled’s fate is unverifiable,” Mr Waterstreet said yesterday.

“The family were told he’s dead but knowing how unreliable everything is, whether he’s dead or not I wouldn’t know, but nothing would surprise me.”

Mr Waterstreet is assisting Karen Nettleton in appealing to foreign governments and non-government organisations to lead a mission to repatriate the Sharrouf children.

He said the children — Sharrouf has two sons and three daughters: Zaynab, 14, now a mother of a baby herself, Hoda, 13, Abdullah, 11, Zarqawi, 10, and Humzeh, 5 — were currently living alone in a house somewhere in the country and had no access to food or cash.

The girls were also unable to walk around and seek assistance without a male minder and about $2000 had been wired to them but hadn’t yet been claimed.

He said the children had held off telling Karen about Tara’s death because they didn’t want to upset her.

Despite the illegalities involved in wiring money — it is an offence to send money to terrorist organisations or their sympathisers — the authorities had been sympathetic to the family’s attempts, Mr Waterstreet said.

While there were no firm attempts afoot to bring the children home, he said efforts to locate and extract the children were ongoing.

In the past Sharrouf has boasted about his deceptive tactics on social media, including his ability to slip through customs and fly “first class” out of the country.

References have also been made to feigning mental illness during his court proceedings between 2007 and 2009 on charges of conspiring to commit an act of terrorism.

Two psychologists ruled he was unfit to stand trial and one claimed Sharrouf was “unlikely to become involved in a further offence”.

On sentencing, the judge took into account Sharrouf’s “drug-induced psychosis” and “chronic schizophrenia”. He was released a month after his sentence was handed down because of time already served.

Police investigate Iraq veteran Kyle Tyrrell over melee with Torquay fisherman

A RETIRED lieutenant-colonel and Iraq veteran is being investigated after a melee with fishermen on the Surf Coast.

Kyle Tyrrell, 47, suffered minor injuries and says his wife, Liana, was punched in the face in Sunday’s conflict at the Cosy Corner beach at Torquay.

At least one of the fishermen was taken to hospital.

On social media, Mr Tyrrell wrote of what happened and urged people to protect “our women ... our country is being overrun by Muslim scum”.

“It was an added bonus to witness a few of our attackers be brought to hospital by ambulance after we arrived, sucking on the pain whistles.”

Speaking to the Herald Sun , he was confident he would not be charged: “I was just protecting my wife and daughter, like any man.”

Mrs Tyrrell, 30, said on seeing one of the men put a crab pot in the water, she told him the area was a marine sanctuary and fishing was banned.

Mr Tyrell believes his attack was racially motivated.
“Liana said nicely to him that if you put that in there, you may get in trouble, as you are
not meant to have it. That was it, and he turned on her,” Mr Tyrrell said.

He said he heard his wife’s screams and, seeing a man attacking her, ran to her aid. After he got the man into a headlock, he said up to eight other men ran in.

The war veteran, a qualified instructor in the martial art of Krav Maga, said he ended up on the ground and was kicked in the head. The couple believe the attack was racially and culturally motivated.

“I’m a war veteran and I fought in the Middle East. The main attacker was Muslim and my take is he probably didn’t like being told what to do from a woman,” Mr Tyrrell said.

“This guy was calling Liana a white s--- and a white whore and telling her: ‘Your husband needs to teach you a lesson’.”

A shaken Mrs Tyrrell wants the man she says attacked her charged.

Mr Tyrrell, who suffers post-traumatic stress disorder, has been trying to adapt to civilian life since retiring in 2011.

He has received Divisional Commanders and Land Commanders commendations for exemplary service, the Commandants Prize, and a Commendation for Distinguished Service in the 2007 Queen’s Birthday Honours for leadership and courage in action.

No charges have been laid and police inquiries continue.

Serial offender who assaulted police given good-behaviour bond and community work order

LEIGH VAN DEN BROEKE
The Daily Telegraph
November 28 2015

All this Pious Muslim Savage has to do between now and the next time he caves in a NSW Police officers face is to do is prey at his local Mosque and have his Imam say he folded  envelopes for taxpayer funded Multicultural / Harmony Day community out reach  projects and he will AGAIN walk free. What better Mad Dog to let loose on Judeo Christian Western Democracy than the Rabid Mad Dog of Islam ?protected by the Progressive Lefts laws of Racial Discrimination and all cultures behaviours are EQUAL.
No wonder the Muslim SAVAGE is laughing, I would still be in Jail if I hit a Copper ONCE (AND RIGHTLY SO)
Sydney's Occupied Territories are now ruled by Muslim Courts, the Labor Green Loons would say that that is ok how about Australians and THEIR Police Force members?
No rumblings from the NSW Police Association ... oh thats right their job is to collect Union Fees to fund the Islam friendly Labor Green Loons.

-------------------------

WITH a broad smile and casual wave, this serial police assaulter avoided jail for a third time when he faced Parramatta Local Court.

Abdulrahman Mohamed Atteya was given an Intensive Correction Order and good behaviour bond after being found guilty of attacking his fiancee and punching a police officer at his Granville home in October 2014.

The 22-year-old gave Constable Joel Swales a black eye as the officer tried to handcuff him in a clash with his family and police.

According to court documents, officers were investigating a domestic violence report in which Atteya attacked his former fiancee.

He slammed her against a brick wall and repeatedly hit her before grabbing her throat and squeezing while saying “I’m going to kill you” until a passer-by intervened, court documents said.

At the time of his arrest, Atteya was on a two-year suspended sentence for attacking police and resisting arrest in September 2013.

He was also facing two charges of assaulting police on December 20, 2013 and was put on a further 18-month suspended sentence.

Atteya had been found guilty of common assault, resisting an officer in the execution of duty and assaulting a police officer in execution of duty.

“The whole incident once the police arrived … was absolutely deplorable.”

His defence lawyer argued that Atteya had not offended since the 2014 incident.

“I would urge your honour to give him his last reprieve,” the lawyer said.

“All the progress he has made would be lost (if he were to go to jail).”

Magistrate Shane McAnulty said the attack was “particularly violent”.

“The whole incident once the police arrived … was absolutely deplorable,” he said.

Mr McAnulty sentenced Atteya to a two-year good behaviour bond and an Intensive Correction Order for 20 months in which he will perform 32 hours of community service a week. He will also have to submit to alcohol and drug tests.

A police spokeswoman said they were “looking at that ruling”.

Deputy Premier and Police Minister Troy Grant said he was disappointed anyone would show such disrespect to police officers.

“The NSW Government is looking at ways to increase social cohesion but we also need to bring back a strong onus on individual responsibility,” Mr Grant said.

Labor's Green Loon VOTE People: Leftist Teachers Union Members Incite / Solicit Muslim students to Walk Out / Boycott Australian National Anthem.

Fury as Muslim students allowed to walk out of assembly during national anthem

Andrew Jefferson
The Daily Telegraph
October 27 2015

A PUBLIC primary school has come under fire for allowing Muslim students to walk out of assembly while the national anthem is being sung.

Cranbourne Carlisle Primary School principal Cheryl Irving said she was allowing Shi’a children to opt out of singing or listening to the anthem because it was a religious month of mourning and they should not be forced to take part in joyous events.

“Muharram is a Shi’a cultural observation marking the death of Imam Hussein,” Ms Irving said. “This year it falls between Tuesday October 13 and Thursday November 12.

“Prior to last week’s Years 2-6 assembly, in respect of this religious observance, students were given the opportunity to leave the hall before music was played.”

But Lorraine McCurdy, who has two grandchildren at the school, said she was furious when school officials invited students to leave during Advance Australia Fair.

“Two children got up and said ‘welcome to our assembly’ and with that a teacher came forward and said all those who feel it’s against their culture may leave the room,” Ms McCurdy told Melbourne radio station 3AW yesterday.

“With that about 30 or 40 children got up and left the room. We sang the national anthem and they all came back in.

“I saw red, I’m Australian and I felt ‘you don’t walk out on my national anthem’.”

Independent Senator Jacqui Lambie also hit out at the school, which promotes the ethos of “Many Cultures, One Community”, after the revelations first emerged in the community’s local newspaper.

“I find these schools allowing this to happen disgusting. I don’t think religion needs to be brought into the national anthem,” she said.

While the school has received the full backing of Victoria’s Department of Education, the situation could not be any different north of the state border.

NSW’s Department of Education last night told The Daily Telegraph that students would not be allowed to sit out the national anthem in NSW under any circumstances.

“It is not acceptable for any student in a NSW public school to walk out during the anthem and disciplinary action would be taken against the student,” a spokesman said.

Islam Down Under, Farhad Jabar Khalil Mohammad buried on Australian Soil.

Teen terrorist Farhad Jabar’s body buried in Rookwood Cemetery

EXCLUSIVE Laura Banks
The Daily Telegraph
October 19 2015.

TEEN terrorist Farhad Jabar’s body has been quietly buried in Rookwood Cemetery, near the grave of a shot gang associate and the beloved wife of a famous Sydney boxer.

A galvanised steel marker bears a white sticker with bold black writing; “Mr Farhad Jabar Khalil Mohammad”. It states the date of his death and his age.

Jabar was killed on October 2 by a special constable who bravely stepped into the line of fire as the teenager yelled “Allahu Akbar” after he had shot dead police accountant Curtis Cheng in Parramatta.

The 15-year-old’s grave lies just metres from notorious Brothers 4 Life associate Mahmoud Hamzy, 25, and the wife of champion Australian boxer Billy Dib, Sara Selim Dib, 21, who died tragically from complications of chemotherapy last month.

The Daily Telegraph understands that Jabar was buried last Saturday.

A palm frond sits atop the freshly disturbed clay in an Islamic tradition.

The teenager’s body was held for six days and buried as soon as possible in line with Islamic tradition.

It is believed Jabar’s parents wanted the teen’s body buried in their Kurdish homeland but brother Farshard wanted the boy’s remains buried in Australia.

FARHAD’S SUPPORTERS PRAISE HIS ACTIONS

ASKED FOR HIS FAVOURITE MEAL, THEN TRAGEDY

GUARD OF HONOUR FOR CURTIS CHENG FUNERAL

A mourner — whose father is buried just metres from Jabar at Rookwood — told The Daily Telegraph he “had some concerns about him (Jabar) being buried there”.

“I don’t know who is going to come here now and I have my son come here with me,” he said.

“I am Muslim but what he (Jabar) did was not right and I want our government to do more to stop this from happening again.

“Surely they can bug the mosques and have better intelligence.”

Jabar was farewelled and interred among devout followers of the Muslim faith, in stark contrast to the treatment of Lindt siege gunman Man Haron Monis.

The Muslim community washed their hands of Monis and he was buried in an undisclosed location.

Monis — who died along with two of his hostages in a shootout with police at the Lindt cafe in Sydney’s Martin Place in December — was buried by gravediggers in an undisclosed NSW location in January.

Those involved in the state burial were required to sign a confidentiality agreement.

Islamic leaders publicly denounced Monis’s actions and said he was so despised in the community that funeral directors refused to handle his body.

The location of his grave remains a mystery.

Australia's Leaders Dancing with Satan and singing kumbaya.

Dancing with wolves and singing kumbaya

Piers Akerman
Sunday Telegraph Pg. 32
October 18 2015

THE words Islam or Islamic were uttered six times in Federal Parliament before it rose for the week on Thursday — but not once in reference to terrorism.
The only “I” word being embraced by the Turnbull government is “inclusive”, which makes one wonder — just which planet are our parliamentarians living on?
It’s more than a year since the Government raised the national terrorism alert level to high, last September 12, and it has not been shifted since.

The system rates four levels of risk. They are: low — terrorist attack is not expected; medium — terrorist attack could occur; high — terrorist attack is likely; extreme — attack is imminent or has occurred.
Yet two innocent people were killed in an Islamist terrorist attack in the heart of Sydney last December when shotgun-wielding Man Haron Monis made hostages of patrons of the Lindt Cafe, and Curtis Cheng was ruthlessly murdered by a 15-year-old boy in front of the Parramatta police station as he was leaving work on October 2.

As it happens, that same morning Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull publicly signalled his much-heralded break with his predecessor Tony Abbott’s hard-line approach to Islamism.

After discussions with Foreign Minister Julie Bishop and Justice Minister Michael Keenan, who both urged him to take the fresh approach, he wheeled out his new, more inclusive tone for future dealings with the Islamic community.
Needless to say, it was warmly embraced by the country’s Muslim spokesmen, and according to GP Jamal Rifi, the “larger Muslim community” would “respond with open arms”.

Dr Rifi told The Australian newspaper that the Muslim community was “elated” at Mr Turnbull becoming prime minister, as the relationship with the government under Mr Abbott had become “extremely tense and hurtful”.
Though clearly not as hurtful as the lethal relationship between Mr Cheng and his teenage murderer was to be just hours later.
Since then police officers have been told not to wear their uniforms to and from work, just like servicemen and women, out of fear they may be targeted when they are not carrying their service-issue weapons.

But not a flicker of the terrorist threat meter, just more baloney about Islam as a religion of peace from a gaggle of self-important so-called Muslim community leaders and clerics and apologists who want to blame anything but absolutely barbaric Koranic verses as reasons for the constant global incitement of Muslims to murder the nonbelievers.

The Federal Government had been moving for months to introduce laws that will lower the age at which control orders can be applied from 16 to 14 years of age — even as we learn that a 12-year-old was among the 17 extremists named in court papers as a close-knit

Western Sydney group, lured into the Islamist death cult and willing to commit murder or die for the Islamic State.
Extremist hate preachers and fake sheiks speak at mosques and Islamic schools, and Canberra assembles a congregation of multi-faith ministers to sing kumbaya and have a group hug.

Mr Turnbull has confirmed that over the past five months the Federal Government has trained more than 300 “specialists” who will be embedded within the nation’s frontline departments and agencies to intervene and divert individuals from radicalisation.
He didn’t mention the particular group which the agencies were concerned about but you can be fairly certain it is not the Amish.

He said that individuals and extremists “seek to denigrate other groups in the community, often within their own religion, other religions and other ethnic groups, and they seek to turn us against each other”.

Which religion, Mr Turnbull — Buddhism, Christianity or Judaism?
Guess again, because he didn’t say.

There were plenty of omissions from Thursday’s debate in Canberra, not least being Labor MPs Maria Vamvakinou and Melissa Parke, who managed to totally ignore the current wave of terrorist stabbings and shootings targeting innocent Israelis and the torrent of hate

speech pouring out of the West Bank as they talked up the cause of Palestinian statehood.
But the extraordinarily high number, per capita, of young Australians who have chosen to join fellow jihadists in Syria and Iraq would indicate that relying on local Muslim leaders to co-operate with the security agencies has not been entirely successful.
The motherhood view was outlined by Muslim MP Ed Husic on Friday, when he said the aim of terrorists was to divide communities with fear.

“We need the broader community to feel secure,” he said. Just imagine. The broader community won’t feel secure until those who follow Islam show they wish to assimilate and adopt Australia’s liberal democratic values just like earlier new Australians from northern European, southern Europe and south-east Asia.

Having embraced the nonsensical policy of multiculturalism, the Federal Government is stuck with the problem of dealing with a growing group of individuals who show little sign of observing their oath of loyalty to Australia.

Congregating in essentially non-English-speaking ghettos clustered around a profusion of mosques in which English is not heard, taking satellite news from Arabic-language broadcasts, will not help this migrant group become part of the broader community and it will not make Australians feel more secure.

Millions have now been spent, and tens of millions more are earmarked to go to Islamic projects, but it is difficult to see how a single cent of the money will help remove the cultural barriers that are core to Koranic teaching.

Mr Curtis Cheng: More than 1500 people have farewelled a gentle man whose death at the hands of a 15-year-old terrorist outside Parramatta police headquarters has shaken the NSW Police Force.

Curtis Cheng remembered as gentle man

SkyNews
Saturday, 17 October 2015

More than 1500 people have farewelled a gentle man whose death at the hands of a 15-year-old terrorist outside Parramatta police headquarters has shaken the NSW Police Force.

Sombre officers stood guard as their colleague Curtis Cheng's coffin left St Mary's Cathedral in Sydney following his funeral on Saturday morning, more than two weeks after the shooting.

Curtis Cheng, an accountant for the force for 17 years, was remembered as a gentle man, who was devoted to his family, friends and his police colleagues.

His death had rocked his colleagues across the state, with NSW Police Commissioner Andrew Scipione telling mourners he couldn't describe the devastation across the force.

'The gentlest of friends lost to an act of terror; a man, the manner of whose death stands in stark contrast to the gentle, honourable way he lived his life,' Mr Scipione said.

Mr Scipione told Mr Cheng's wife Selina, son Alpha, and daughter Zilvia Mr Cheng was 'so proud to be part of the force', and was cherished by his colleagues who said he was 'nothing but positive'.

'Curtis was one of our own, one of our friends. His circumstances are our circumstances.

'The pain and disorientation we feel at Curtis' death is all the more acute as a result.

Alpha Cheng in his eulogy called on mourners to honour his father by following his example.

'Dad did everything in his own, quiet, little way,' Alpha said.

'We need to do the little things for the people around us ... if we all do that little bit more as dad did in his life, I believe we can live in a more gentle and harmonious world.

'May he rest in peace.'

Also among the mourners were NSW Premier Mike Barid, Police Minister Troy Grant, NSW Governor David Hurley, Opposition Leader Luke Foley and police representatives from Australia and New Zealand.

Mr Cheng, 58, died after 15-year-old Farhad Jabar shot him as he was leaving work on Friday October 2.

Jabar died after he was shot by police at the scene.

Two men who allegedly helped the 15-year-old Jabar carry out the attack were refused bail in court on Friday.

ASSASSINATION of Mr Curtis Cheng Charges laid UPDATE.

Terror in Australia: Boy, 12, named in court along with 17 Islamic extremists

Janet Fife-Yeomans and Geoff Chambers
The Daily Telegraph
October 16 2015.

HE is a 12-year-old boy who loves playing rugby league, won a “best trainer” award and posts selfies on his social media accounts.

But he is in such danger of being radicalised he has been named in a court control order alongside 17 extremists described in court papers as a close-knit Western Sydney group, willing to commit murder or die for Islamic State, which has been trying to source guns.

The group includes three of the five men arrested last week in counter-terrorism raids after the shooting of unarmed police accountant Curtis Cheng, four men currently locked up in Goulburn Supermax and a 16-year-old classmate of Mr Cheng’s killer, Farhad Jabar, 15.

It is understood the 12-year-old, who cannot be named, also has links with notorious Supermax prisoner Milad Al-Ahmadzai, jailed for threatening to slit the throat of an intelligence officer, and convicted armed robber Bilal Elzamtar.

They are not alleged to have had any involvement in Mr Cheng’s death. Also named in the control order granted by the Federal Circuit Court is Raban Alou, 18, charged yesterday with terrorism offences over allegedly supplying the gun to Jabar as the teen terrorist walked to Parramatta police headquarters on his deadly mission Friday October 2.

“They are in frequent communication, often in relation to matters reflecting their shared Islamist ideology,” the control order states about the group.

“They continue to express support for the terrorist organisation, the Islamic State, or their desire to become a martyr, or to commit jihad.”

The control order was taken out in March by the Australian Federal Police against terror suspect Ahmad Saiyer Naizmand, 20, who tried to flee to Syria using his brother’s passport.

It gives an insight into the tight circle of alleged extremists, naming 18 people including two sets of brothers. Naizmand has been banned from associating with all 18.

“There is sufficient information Naizmand is communicating with the Naizmand group and others in code, possibly in relation to the sourcing of firearms,” the control order states.

Since some of the named men have been arrested and locked up on terrorist-related charges, Naizmand is said to have begun “constantly associating” with those who had previously only been on the periphery of what is labelled a “close knit group”.

“The court is satisfied on the balance of probabilities that making the order would substantially assist in preventing a terrorist act,” Judge Rolf Driver said in imposing the control order.

Named among the 18 is Omarjan Azari, 25, currently in Supermax defending charges of helping plan a terrorist act in relation to an intercepted phone conversation he had with Mohammad Ali Baryalei.

Now believed dead, Baryalei was Australia’s most senior IS leader and recruited scores of Australians to fight in Syria and Iraq.

In the phone call, Baryalei told Azari a “very senior IS figure” had ordered that random kaffir (nonbelievers) should be killed and covered with the IS flag.

The court has heard Azari is alleged to have told Baryalei there were people he knew who had “the heart” to carry out such an attack and named Naizmand under his Arabic name, Abu Moussa, as one of those people.

That phone call sparked the massive Operation Appleby counter-terrorism raids involving more than 800 officers across Sydney’s west and northwest which police said foiled a plot to “commit violent acts”. Also named was Hamdi Alqudsi, who is the first person in Australia to be charged with recruiting and sending people overseas to fight in the Syrian battlefields.

Alqudsi was arrested in December, 2014, and is facing trial over allegations he organised travel and overseas contact for seven people, enabling them to contact and fight alongside terrorists.

The 41-year-old is on bail and was controversially allowed to live in Minto mosque during Ramadan.

Another man named in the order is Milad Al-Ahmadzai, who was jailed for threatening to “slit the throat” of an Australian intelligence officer.

He is serving a sentence of five years and six months for an ATM ram-raid.

Wassim Fayad, 46, who has previously been convicted and jailed for whipping a Muslim convert who confessed to drinking alcohol and taking drugs, was also named in the control order along with Sulayman Khalid, also known as Abu Bakr.

Khalid, 21, is being held in Supermax and will stand trial next year on charges he was in possession of documents “designed to facilitate a terrorist attack”.

Another is Ali Al-Talebi, 26, in Supermax on charges of arranging $6000 to be sent to IS forces in Syria. Khalid and Al-Talebi and both defending the charges/

Also on the list is Ahmad Rahmany, 25, who was released on a good behaviour bond with a $500 fine after pleading guilty to possessing a Taser and ammunition when he was arrested during the Operation Appleby raids. One of those arrested and released last week, Mustafa Dirani, 22, is also named in the group on the control order.

His home was also targeted in the Operation Appleby counter-terrorism raids.

The two not named in the control order who were arrested in last week’s raids are two brothers allegedly part of a crime clan. Both have since been released. Only Alou remains in custody.

Naizmand’s case returns to court on November 9.

Australia's Catholic PM Malcolm Turnbull is particularly wrong to suggest a key moral teaching of Christianity – a “golden rule” – is that of Islam, too.

Opinion: Reform Islam and make it safe for our multi-religious secular democracy

MALCOLM Turnbull is very right to reach out to Australian Muslims. He is wrong, though, to tell untruths to non-Muslims.

And the Prime Minister, a Catholic, is particularly wrong to suggest a key moral teaching of Christianity – a “golden rule” – is that of Islam, too.

Last week Turnbull urged “mutual respect” between Muslim and non-Muslim Australians, even though most of the disrespect so far – as measured by bomb plots, sieges and attacks on police – seem to come from the extremist Muslim side.

Still, mutual respect is indeed critical if we’re not going to kill each other, so give Turnbull credit for at least winning the trust of many Muslim leaders.

But to back his appeal he added this: “Every religion, every faith, every moral doctrine, understands the Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”

THEIR ABC Still pondering just how children could be induced into Islamic Terrorism... after all Islam means Peace doesn't it?

Too many of us have forgotten how Christianity shaped our society and are blind to how the Koran created radically different societies.

If we don’t understand those things, we’re clueless in dealing with the cultural clash we’ve so recklessly imported into our own suburbs.

What Turnbull claims is the “Golden Rule” of all faiths, is in fact a direct quotation from only one – from the Christians’ New Testament.

Luke’s Gospel quotes the alleged words of Jesus Christ himself: “Love your enemies ... If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also ... Do to others as you would have them do to you.”

These are powerful words of immense resonance in Christian countries.

It’s this ideal that gives such moral weight to Turnbull’s offer of “mutual respect” to a community which has produced 21 jihadists jailed for terrorism offences, and three more shot dead during attacks.

But contrast Christ’s “golden rule” and turning of the cheek with the Koran’s commands to strike hard at the enemy: “The only reward of those who make war upon Allah and His messenger ... will be that they will be killed or crucified, or have their hands and feet on alternate sides cut off, or will be expelled out of the land.”

True, the sacred Hadith do quote the Muslims’ prophet Muhammad, founder of their faith, stating: “None of you have faith until you love for your neighbour what you love for yourself.”

But that version of the “golden rule” seems limited to fellow Muslims, and has been interpreted that way by many scholars for many centuries.
No wonder, given that the Koran and Hadith give repeated examples of Muhammad and his followers killing his critics, including even women and poets who mocked him. No turning of the cheek there.

In vivid contrast, Christ would not let his disciples fight even to save him from capture and crucifixion.

There is another critical difference between the two religions that has helped set up this clash here of Christian and Muslim cultures.

The Jesus of the Gospels drew a line between church and state, which is why the Christian West has secular governments, not religious ones such as Iran and Saudi Arabia, which even bans the public practice of Christianity.

As John’s Gospel notes: “Jesus replied, ‘Mine is not a kingdom of this world; if my kingdom were of this world, my men would have fought to prevent my being surrendered to the Jews’.”

In the Koran, the message is very different. Muslims should live under Muslim law where possible: “Allah hath sent down no authority: the command is for none but Allah ...”

This is why extremists refuse to stand in court for our judges or call our democracy “haram” – sinful. Moreover, the sacred Sahih Muslim urges Muslims to make nonbelievers submit to Muslim rule.

“Invite them to (accept) Islam; if they respond to you, accept it from them and desist from fighting against them,” it says. “If they refuse to accept Islam, demand from them the Jizya (a tax on unbelievers) ... If they refuse to pay the tax, seek Allah’s help and fight them.”

True, many Muslims do not live up to these ideals and don’t want to, either.

But it is foolish to pretend these Koranic teachings don’t exist or aren’t influential.

For instance, ISIS quoted holy scripture at least 25 times in its infamous statement last year ordering Muslims around the world to kill unbelievers – to “smash his head with a rock, or slaughter him with a knife, or run him over with your car”.

Those quotations included this, from the Koran: “Kill the polytheists wherever you find them and capture them and besiege them and sit in wait for them at every place of ambush.”

Last week gave another example of Muslim preachers citing the Koran to urge the killing of unbelievers.

Israel’s Jews have suffered a wave of stabbings by young Muslims over the past fortnight.

On Tuesday alone there were four attacks. In the worst, two men boarded a public bus, locked the doors and shot and stabbed passengers, killing two.

In another, a driver rammed his car into people at a bus stop and jumped out to hack at his victims with a knife, killing an elderly rabbi.

What motivates such savagery?

Here’s a clue. Giving the Friday sermon last week at the Al-Abrar Mosque in the Gaza strip, Sheikh Muhammad Sallah waved around a knife and shouted for Muslims to stab Israeli Jews.

“Attack in threes and fours,” he bellowed, and “cut them into body parts”.

“Some should restrain the victim, while others attack him with axes and butcher knives.”

And to justify this slaughter he quoted the example of Muhammad himself – “recall what He did to them in Khaybar” – in attacking and subjugating a Jewish tribe in a battle in 629.

Yes, moderate Muslims insist other parts of the Koran invalidate the passages quoted by extremists.

Good luck to them. Let’s back their attempts to reform Islam and make it safe for our multi-religious secular democracy.

But to reform Islam we must first admit there is something to reform. We cannot pretend, as Turnbull does, that Islam is as cheek-turning as Christianity.

Leave Islam out of the discussion and we’re just left with all this useless yammer about terrorism just being about “marginalised” youths facing “discrimination” and needing only a job or sympathetic ear to become as peaceful as, well, Buddhists or Presbyterians.

And we then we get the list of demands from people from whom more should be demanded – demands to ban criticism of Islam, to issue more grants and to scrap foreign policies that help Israel or hurt Islamist groups abroad.

No, Islam needs reform.

Without that, we’re left only with only two dark choices: submission or even more policing of our streets and our tongues.
