"The chief weapon in the quiver of all Islamist expansionist movements, is the absolute necessity to keep victims largely unaware of the actual theology plotting their demise. To complete this deception, a large body of ‘moderates’ continue to spew such ridiculous claims as “Islam means Peace” thereby keeping non-Muslims from actually reading the Qur’an, the Sira, the Hadith, or actually looking into the past 1400 years of history. Islamists also deny or dismiss the concept of ‘abrogation’, which is the universal intra-Islamic method of replacing slightly more tolerable aspects of the religion in favor of more violent demands for Muslims to slay and subdue infidels"

Labor Green Loons standing with the Savage..... as usual.

Visa insult a betrayal of liberalism

Paul Sheehan
Sydney Morning Herald
October 1, 2012

The Australian embassy in The Hague, at Carnegielaan 4, is a model of the functional blandness that dominates the Dutch city. An effort has been made to replicate a traditional steeped roof but it barely mitigates the sterility. On most days, a row of bicycles sits outside the front door, a very Dutch touch.

Posters carried by Labor's preferred constituency at the recent Islamic Insurgency Riots Saturday15912
What has been taking place inside the bland exterior of that embassy during the past six weeks is the opposite of Holland's famous liberalism. An unfolding act of cowardice has been cooking inside the embassy. It is a calculated insult to the Dutch government.
Six weeks ago, the leader of the Party for Freedom (PVV), which until recently held the balance of power in the Dutch parliament, applied for a visa to visit Australia. His name is Geert Wilders.

Members of his staff and security detail were granted visas after three days. Wilders received nothing. He is still waiting. The Dutch media are waiting for the insult the Gillard government appears to be preparing for a member of the Netherlands' parliament.

The Australian organisers of the Wilders trip are resigning themselves to being out of pocket by at least $10,000 if the Minister for Immigration, Chris Bowen, continues to stall. The trip was going to be cancelled yesterday but the organisers have decided to hold for a few more days. After six weeks of silence, the federal government hasn't had the courage to deny Wilders a visa. It prefers the back door.
This confirms, as if any more confirmation were needed, the gutlessness that lies at the core of Australia's multibillion-dollar debacle on border security, where the thin blue line on border integrity has been turned into a wide yellow streak. While the government blusters, the people smugglers keep thriving and the cost of processing asylum seekers soars well beyond $100,000 per person.
Wilders is an elected member of parliament, has never been convicted of a crime and is an outspoken defender of pluralism, democracy, feminism and freedom of speech. He believes these bedrock liberal values are being eroded by a steady, incremental challenge from Muslims in Holland. He now lives under constant police protection. Four prominent critics of Islam in Holland have been assassinated or threatened with death in recent years.
Wilders argues that the root cause of growing ill-liberalism in Holland, and also in Belgium and France, is driven by strict adherents of Islam. He does not think the problem is confined to an extreme fringe. Rather, he sees the stresses between Muslims and non-Muslims in Holland as rooted in a general insularity among Muslims because Islam is not only a religion but a social, legal and political system that gives Islam primacy over the state.
Wilders was to have given speeches in Sydney and Melbourne in two weeks, sponsored by a private group, the Q Society, which was funding his visit via private donations and ticket sales.
The Gillard government appears intent on stopping this visit, even though it recently granted a visa to an Islamic fundamentalist, Taji Mustafa, a spokesman for Hizb ut-Tahrir, the group implicated in the violent demonstration by several hundred Muslims in Sydney two weeks ago, while Mustafa was visiting the country. The Arabic script on headbands and T-shirts worn by many demonstrators were variations of the theme of jihad, such as ''We are your soldiers, Muhammad''.
An apologist for jihad was allowed into the country to speak while a member of the Dutch parliament has been stopped.

A member of Labor's preferred constituency at the recent Islamic Insurgency Riots Saturday 15912

When the Minister for Immigration was asked in Parliament on September 17 why he had a approved the granting of a visa to Mustafa, he said: ''Hizb ut-Tahrir has not been proscribed in Australia and nor has it been proscribed in the United States or the United Kingdom. This entry permit was issued in accordance with the normal procedures for British nationals … I conduct myself … in accordance with my responsibilities under the act. To do otherwise would be to open the Commonwealth to potential overturning of the decision and a potential very serious compensation case.''
The reason for the Gillard government's willingness to find a cheerleader for jihad acceptable while an elected MP and cheerleader for Western values is tacitly deemed unacceptable would lie partly in a dramatic change in demographics under Labor. This, too, is a subject about which the federal government maintains a deafening silence.
During the five years of federal Labor governments, the ramp-up of immigration and boat people arrivals has helped a historic surge in the Muslim population of Australia, from about 350,000 to 500,000. The number of Muslim permanent residents has risen 75 per cent in the past decade. Labor holds several electorates in western Sydney with significant Muslim populations.
In 1972, when Labor introduced formal multiculturalism under the then minister for immigration, Al Grassby, Muslims represented just 0.2 per cent of Australia's population. This percentage has risen more than twentyfold in the ensuing 40 years. Grassby's reputation has been disgraced by revelations about his numerous links to Italian organised crime.

Two members of Labor's preferred constituency at the recent Islamic Insurgency Riots Saturday 15912

This would not surprise Wilders, a trenchant critic of multiculturalism, whose policies are much further to the right than those of the Coalition. The PVV rose to prominence after he expressed alarm about problems associated with the rapid growth of the Muslim population, which now exceeds 1 million in a country of 16.7 million and is growing about four times faster than the non-Muslim population.
Meanwhile, back at Australia's border debacle, the Gillard government refuses to embrace policies that have proved to be effective such as temporary protection visas for asylum seekers, or to set up an advanced interception line off Sri Lanka. So the boats keep coming - another three over the weekend with 333 asylum seekers - while the government expends $1 billion a year servicing its own impotence.

Equipment trashed in outburst on Nauru

Gemma Jones - Political Reporter

October 01, 20129:23PM

A GROUP of Iranian and Iraqi asylum seekers have been involved in a disturbance at the Nauru processing camp, overturning equipment and trashing recreation areas.

The men armed themselves with kitchen utensils, but the Immigration Department has been unable to confirm reports that tents were slashed with knives during the Sunday incident.

About ten men were involved.

Wilson security guards at the Topside camp took control of the situation before Nauruan police arrived.

After assessing the situation and taking reports from staff, officers took three men to the police station, where they spent Sunday night in cells before being returned to the camp.

Opposition immigration spokesman Scott Morrison said he had recently heard unconfirmed reports that a knife count in the kitchen had indicated some of the utensils may have been missing.

"We received unconfirmed reports they did a count on the knives and the count didn't reconcile," he said.

"It is important that the government be very clear about what utensils were in the possession of those who created the disturbance and whether they had gained access to any knives.

"When it comes to border protection, it seems Labor just can't get anything right, including Nauru."

The government is unaware of any knives being missing.

Only a small number of Iranian and Iraqi asylum seekers have been sent to Nauru, with mostly Sri Lankans at the camp because they are considered less of a security threat.

A spokesman for Immigration Minister Chris Bowen described the disturbance as "minor."

"There was a minor disturbance at the Nauru temporary facility over the weekend," he said.

"The situation was quickly resolved by the security contractor and there were no reported injuries to staff or detainees. Local police also attended the site.

"Immigration will be investigating the matter further."

September was a record month for boat arrivals, with 2355 people and four of the biggest boat loads ever recorded with the largest carrying 198 people.

Almost 11,500 asylum seekers have arrived since the start of 2012.

Nauru can currently hold just 500 asylum seekers.

Hospital standoff sees subbies sidelined

BY: ANDREW FRASER
From: The Australian
September 06, 2012 12:00AM

UP to 2000 people have been affected by a month-long strike at the site of the new $1.4 billion Children's Hospital in Brisbane, despite the construction union being directed to resume work two weeks ago.

While 600 full-time workers have not been able to work for a month, Electrical Contractors Association Australia workplace relations manager Jason O'Dwyer said the dispute had worked its way along the supply chain.

"You've got the 600 people on site who are not able to work, but now it's got well beyond them, and possibly three times that number of people are also being affected," he said.

"In a lot of cases, the businesses that had contracts to supply to the hospital were able to shuffle other work around so they still had something to go on with, but we've had reports of the suppliers having to put some of their workers on notice that work's drying up."

Mr O'Dwyer claimed that because of a Construction Forestry Mining and Energy Union picket line many subcontractors were unable to access the site and complete work or get their tools so they could go on to other jobs.

"These are people who aren't even involved in the original dispute but are now not able to work because they can't get their tools."

The dispute at one of the biggest building projects in Queensland centres around an insistence from the union to renegotiate an agreement originally set to cover wages up to 2014.

This happened after a subcontractor allegedly went bankrupt after another firm undercut it for the gyprocking of internal walls at the hospital site.

Builder Abigroup was granted an injunction in the Federal Magistrates Court on August 16, which prevented the CFMEU from industrial action by banning union organisers from within 100m of the site. The CFMEU is believed to be arguing the picket is a "community protest" and not a formal strike.

CFMEU Queensland state secretary Michael Ravbar did not return calls, but when The Australian visited last week there was no activity and the only people on site were security guards.

Mr O'Dwyer said that subcontractors were further being pressured by the main contractor, Abigroup, which said they were free to work at the site because of the August 16 injunction. "But in practice the subcontractors' employees are just not prepared to take that risk, given that there have been threats to their physical wellbeing if they access the site."

The hospital is due for completion next year, and Abigroup is subject to fines that could exceed $100,000 a day if work is delayed.

A statement from Abigroup said it was "experiencing a CFMEU campaign of unlawful work stoppages and blockades as a result of resisting unsustainable union demands". "Abigroup is taking legal action . . . to prevent further stoppages and to protect its employees, clients and the company," it said.

Slush fund claims raise fresh leadership tension for Prime Minister Julia Gillard

Why Julia is so upset
Part IV
IS OUR PRIME MINISTER A CROOK?:

Simon Benson
The Daily Telegraph
August 20, 2012

PRIME Minister Julia Gillard is facing new   leadership concerns among key cabinet and caucus supporters over the revival of an alleged 17-year-old union slush fund scandal involving her former boyfriend.

"I did nothing wrong. Have you got an allegation to put to me? If you do not, why are we discussing this?"
Senior government sources have confirmed that over the past two weeks a growing "unease" had crept into the Gillard camp about the scandal "blowing up" and crippling her leadership.

Those fears were compounded yesterday during a fiery interview on Sky's Australian Agenda, when Ms Gillard refused to address allegations raised against her.

"I did nothing wrong. Have you got an allegation to put to me? If you do not, why are we discussing this?" she said.

Ms Gillard has previously denied any knowledge that her then-boyfriend, Australian Workers Union State secretary Bruce Wilson, had allegedly ripped off a union fund that Ms Gillard had set up for him when she was a lawyer with Slater & Gordon in the early '90s.

She refused to answer claims yesterday that she was forced to resign from the firm following an internal investigation in August, 1995.

Instead she hit out at what she claimed was a "malicious and motivated" campaign against her.

Slater & Gordon late yesterday released a short statement, claiming to have been given permission by Ms Gillard, confirming it conducted a review into the AWU/Wilson affair.

"Ms Gillard co-operated fully with the review and denied any wrongdoing," the firm's managing director Andrew Grech said.

"The review found nothing which contradicted the information provided by Ms Gillard at the time in relation to the AWU/Bruce Wilson allegations and which she has stated consistently since the allegations were first raised."

It claimed that Ms Gillard took leave of absence following the review to campaign for the senate, before her employment officially ended on May 3, 1996 when she joined the office of Victorian Opposition Leader John Brumby.

Allegations were raised at the weekend by a former partner at the firm, Nick Styant-Browne, suggesting Ms Gillard may have acted improperly in helping set up a slush fund for Mr Wilson.

Mr Styant Browne claimed that Ms Gillard said in an interview as part of a formal review of the matter conducted by the firm in 1995, that she could not categorically rule out that she had personally benefited from union funds in the renovation of her Melbourne house.

Mr Styant-Browne said yesterday that he stood by the article and the claims made.

"I think what I have said speaks for itself.

"And I am not aware of any denial by the PM or her spokesperson of any specific allegation about what she said in the Slater & Gordon internal interview," he told The Daily Telegraph.

Opposition Leader Tony Abbott said Ms Gillard had "questions to answer" to the parliament. "I think there are real issues that the PM needs to address," he said.

Australia: Kevin Rudd “QUIETLY” asking Christian Churches to take in Illegal immigrants….

Radio 2GB’S Ray Hadley talks to opposition shadow immigration minister Scott Morrison about the avalanche of illegal entrants into Australia under the Rudd government
……………….It has been done before with the following (unintended ?) consequences.
b1
Muslim protest group in Brussels effectively preventing access of the Faithful to the Church of the Minimes, for all but the brave.

b2
In the centre of Brussels, there is the beautiful Church of the Minimes . It contains a Chapel in the form of the Holy House of Loretto which was built at the same time as the Church. A house of low repute was demolished to make way for the Church and there used to be an inscription in the Church, "Where once stood a temple of Venus, now stands a shrine to Our Blessed Lady." But now can it be said?
"Where once stood a shrine to Our Blessed Lady, now stands a mosque".
b3

The Chapel is now being desecrated by an occupation by a group of Kurds. They claim to be on hunger strike. Why choose a Catholic Church when there are so many other places in Belgium to protest? But is the Chapel now being used as a mosque?; the Vicariat of Brussels have neither confirmed nor denied this, despite several e-mails. The altar has been moved. The statue of Our Lady has been covered by a cloth in such a way that she is mostly hidden from the eyes of the occupants.
b4
The entrance to the new mosque?

 b5
The Loretto Chapel is in the form of the house of the Annunciation and the childhood home of Jesus. The walls are painted in such a way as to give the illusion of life outside in Nazareth.
Taking a telephone call in this holy place
b6
The other side of the Chapel showing the original artwork representing St Joseph's carpenters shop and Nazareth beyond.
b7
Other supporters of the group use the Church as a meeting place

 b8
There is a track record of occupations of Belgian Churches by Muslim groups. The Beguinage Church, one witness alleged was "trashed". This is more than supported by its present state. The Church of the Holy Cross has been occupied. The Church of the Minimes was also occupied two years ago. Children were seen sitting in the priests' chairs in the sanctuary.
The Church authorities no longer defend the inheritance of the Churches. In the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, a banner hangs bearing the name of Allah.

Quiet search for housing for asylum seekers

SMH
YUKO NARUSHIMA IMMIGRATION CORRESPONDENT
May 19, 2010
THE federal government is asking church groups for access to private properties to house asylum seekers spilling over from Christmas Island.
Immigration officials have spent recent weeks quietly phoning churches, asking them to nominate convents, monasteries and boarding houses where at
least 100 children and families might stay.
The government has already expanded Christmas Island detention centre and last month began moving people without visas to detention in Darwin and
Port Augusta.
Any extra accommodation is intended to supplement hotels and motels, such as the Palms International in Brisbane, which reportedly won a government
contract of more than $1 million to house asylum seekers.
The province leader of the Christian Brothers, Vince Duggan, confirmed the search for more accommodation on the mainland was under way. ''I know
approaches have been made to some bodies,'' the Brisbane cleric said. ''The request was made for 100 places.''
It is understood officials were making the calls as recently as last week, seeking places for families and unaccompanied minors, who sailed to Australia
without parents.
In Sydney, the Josephites' Sister Kathleen O'Connor was also aware of verbal requests from the Immigration Department. She said the government was
putting out feelers quietly to avoid further politicising refugee issues.
''It's done quietly,'' she said. ''[Asylum seekers have] just become this political football.''
More than 90 per cent of boat arrivals to Australia in 2009 were eventually found to be refugees. However, prolonged detention in faraway places
hampered their ability to settle into the community because of increased stress and exacerbated trauma, Sr O'Connor said.
According to the Immigration Department, efforts to quietly find more accommodation were part of ''prudent'' planning.
A spokesman reiterated the government policy pledging to keep children and families out of high-security detention centres.
''[The Department of Immigration and Citizenship] has been investigating a range of private properties around Australia - including some owned by
churches - as potential additional accommodation options for families and children should the need arise,'' he said.
''This may provide an alternative and more suitable accommodation option to the use of motels or serviced apartments.''
The Immigration Minister, Chris Evans, declined to comment.
The opposition said the government's failed policies had forced it into ''billeting'' asylum seekers. Its immigration spokesman, Scott Morrison, said boat
arrivals were unaffected by the freeze on refugee claims from Sri Lanka and Afghanistan.
''I have no doubt that Christian churches will respond generously, which is their nature,'' he said. ''But we have always had the view that offshore
processing should be universal and that is our preference.''
More than 120 unauthorised boats have arrived in Australia in the 30 months since the Rudd government came to power.
Mr Morrison said the Howard government first took children out of detention. There were facilities on Christmas Island to cater for families - but these
were now full.

We'll be a nation of new migrants

By NICK GARDNER
The Sunday Telegraph
April 18, 2010

THE Australian-born family will become a minority group within 15 years - outnumbered by a surging wave of migrants from Europe and Asia.

Figures from demographic consultants Macroplan Australia show record overseas migration and an ageing population mean migrant families will overtake the number of locally born residents by 2025 - far sooner than previously imagined.

The news will infuriate some Australian citizens, who claim the population is already too big and infrastucture is buckling under the strain.

According to 2006 census data, 40 per cent of the nation's population was either born overseas or had at least one parent who was born abroad.

But at present immigration levels, that proportion will jump to more than 50 per cent by 2025.

The news comes a few days after the appointment of Tony Burke as Australia's first population minister

He faces the task of managing the influx of migrants, which is expected to swell the population from 22 million today to 36 million by 2050.

As Mr Burke was sworn in, a survey of 3000 people revealed 70 per cent of Australians do not want a bigger population. Fewer than a quarter favoured immigration as the main contributor.

But experts say a migrant majority will be healthy for Australian culture and attitudes.

"It all adds to the cosmopolitan nature of modern Australia," KPMG demographer Bernard Salt said. "It means our views become less blinkered, and we become more tolerant, confident, engaged, opportunistic and optimistic because we are open to new ideas, not obsessed with keeping things the same."

Macroplan chief executive Brian Haratsis said Australians tended to "stare at our shoes and say we're the best in the world".

"While immigration needs to be managed with better infrastructure, we also need high immigration for sound economic reasons - if we don't, we'll all end up paying higher taxes."

Dr Bob Birrell, co-director of the Centre for Population and Urban Research and reader in sociology at Monash University, said the ratio of foreign-born residents was already higher in Sydney and Melbourne because they were the two most popular destinations for new arrivals.

"We're getting lots more Indian and Chinese immigrants coming to study, but many of those will end up settling here," Dr Birrell said.

The Federal Government estimates that cutting immigration from 280,000 to its target of 180,000 will result in a population of 36 million by 2050.

But it also means the number of working taxpayers will halve in relation to the number of people aged over 65.

Most migrants come from Britain (14.2 per cent), followed by New Zealand (11.4 per cent), India (11.2), China (10.5) South Africa (5.3) and the Philippines (4.1).

Mr Salt said there would be more Iraqi and Afghan migrants.

Australia: Labor's Green Loons training for "direct action and civil disobedience"

Greens protesters promoting rising tide of crime

EXCLUSIVE by Joe Hildebrand
The Daily Telegraph
March 14, 2009 12:00am

PEOPLE are being urged to break into shops, "disable" four wheel drives and throw pies at people by an extreme environmental group being promoted by the NSW Greens.

The group Rising Tide is planning a blockade of the world's biggest coal port in Newcastle, for which Greens MP Lee Rhiannon has held a "direct action and civil disobedience" workshop to prepare protesters.

Rising Tide claims the protest will be legal and peaceful, however it also warned participants "there can be no guarantee against arrest".

Ms Rhiannon - who will attend the blockade with her staff - yesterday praised Rising Tide but said she was unaware of its support of vandalism and did not condone it.

Rising Tide said people concerned about climate change should also "shut down" petrol stations and blockade power plants.

The suggestions are contained in a list of 64 "actions" posted on the group's website.

A spokeswoman for Rising Tide stood by the list, saying the actions were "trivial" compared to the threat of climate change.

Many of the suggestions are benign but some are clearly illegal and potentially dangerous.

They include:

* DISABLE a 4WD. (Letting the tyres down is one way - and doesn't leave you open to "malicious damage" charges, because it doesn't

damage the vehicle);

* THROW a pie at chief spin doctor at the NSW Minerals Council;

* SHUT down petrol stations;

* SUBVERTISE - distort the messages on adverts for climate criminals;

* PAINT bike lanes on the road;

* START a campaign against air flights; and

* BLOCKADE or occupy a power station."

Rising Tide spokeswoman Georgina Woods said the group stood by the suggestions, saying they were "on the scale of things, a little bit of inconvenience".

"Our group is non-violent but we feel we're facing a wide unprecedented challenge and a little bit of civil disobedience as an expression of community frustration," she said.

Green activist Lisette Salkavich, who distributed an email urging people to get involved in the Rising Tide blockade, said that while she had not done it herself damaging property could be morally justified in some circumstances and climate change was an urgent threat.
