These are the People, the Nation, that the ACTU GetUp funded Labor Green Loon "Co Party" are so worried about offending?

Tom Singer and Hanabeth Luke,Tom Singer died a month later in Brisbane.

  • 92 Australians were killed in the 2002 and 2005 attacks
  • All 36 terrorists who were not sentenced to life are now free
  • Five men form the two attacks remain behind bars
  • Up to 100 more terrorist could be free by next year

FOR the survivors of the Bali bomb attacks it is a terrifying tally, but for the families of the 92 Australians killed it is simply heartbreaking.

When will the Australian Labor Party and their financiers and fundraisers the ACTU apologise for their War Crimes against Australians during WW2?

ALP must apologise for union war crimes

Piers Akerman
The Sunday Telegraph
January 25,2014

AS a backdrop to today's Australia Day celebrations, the Labor/Green Left is working itself into a lather over plans to review the flawed national education curriculum.

The review is most timely and it behoves Australians to pause to remember that the awful campaign being waged by powerful trade unions during World War II had prevailed, it is unlikely we would have had anything to celebrate today.

Naturally, the current nat-ional curriculum crafted by Left-leaning academics says nothing about the appalling actions taken by individual unions, their leaders, the ACTU and members of Labor's leadership to sabotage Australia's war effort.

In a hard-hitting Australia Day eve address to members of the Young Liberals, Employment Minister Eric Abetz, the leader of the government in the Senate, reminded his audience of this extraordinary chapter in Australian history - a chapter which Labor cannot bring itself to address.

Fittingly, Senator Abetz was speaking in the port city of Fremantle, the scene of a number of the unconscionable actions taken to undermine the war against Axis nations.

Just as former Prime Minister Paul Keating has attempted to rewrite history with his recent fallacious account of Australia's engagement in World War I, so too, have Labor historians attempted to airbrush from our history the efforts of the trade union movement and the ALP to incapacitate Australian forces during World War II.

Fortunately, West Australian scholar, poet and author Hal Colebatch has published a painstakingly researched, fully documented account of the treachery in a book Australia's Secret War. Quoting from the book, Senator Abetz said: "(a) systematic campaign of sabotage criss-crossed the nation, from Townsville to Fremantle, and cost the lives of countless Australian Diggers and allied soldiers."

My late uncle (Z Forces) witnessed supplies and planes and weapons deliberately dumped into the water at Townsville by ACTU members during WW2.

The actions of the trade unionists involved included deliberately damaging planes, removing valves from radio transmitters that made them inoperative, which in turn led to an inability to provide safe direction to a squadron of US planes and their crewmen, all of whom were lost.

Coalminers and munition factory workers went on strike, prejudicing the war effort, costing lives, all leading to unnecessary loss and increasing the length and cost of the war.

Senator Abetz continued: "Australian women were needlessly widowed. Australian children were needlessly left fatherless."

He said the deliberate acts of union bastardry which led to people being killed and injured, and the war effort being severely compromised, were acts of murder, grievous bodily harm and treason, all of which can be sheeted home to the union movement and all of which have been largely ignored. He believes the unions involved, their successors and the ACTU should provide a national apology for prejudicing the nation's war effort, remembering those families who needlessly lost loved ones because of their members' treasonous activities.

This ugly period in Labor's history came perilously close to the surface when the Howard government took on the Maritime Union and demonstrated how specious its arguments on loading rates were.

Now the MUA and the Electrical Trade Union have donated to a war chest set up to defend bikie gang members caught up by Queensland Premier Campbell Newman's tough new anti-organised crime laws.

According to reports, the MUA has donated $5000 and the ETU has tossed in $10,000, peanuts to these multimillion dollar operations, but no doubt welcomed by the bikies. Since 2000, the MUA and ETU contributed $1 million and $3.5 million respectively to the ALP.

Senator Abetz said then that unions engaging or financially assisting bikie gangs would be judged on such linkages and that the Labor party needed to disassociate itself from these unions.

"Mr Shorten must refuse to accept any further donations from any affiliated union that is also providing support to bikie gangs. Anything less would be a complete abandonment of leadership by him," Senator Abetz said. "Individual union members are fed up with union bosses unilaterally spending their hard-earned money in more-than-questionable causes, be it at the Health Services Union, the CFMEU, the MUA or the ETU."

It would seem that while the Labor movement is losing its attempt to keep its foul wartime record a dark secret, it is unable to keep the lid on the activities of its current backers.

As a former national union leader, Bill Shorten has to clearly distance Labor from the shameful actions of the past and the discreditable activities of more recent members.

He should also deliver the long overdue national apology, well in time for next year's Australia Day celebration.

Australia's Dear Leader,Lu Kewen aka. Kevin 07 insults Australia's finest with claims of he too had "gone outside the wire" in Afghanistan.

Prime Minister Kevin Rudd relives war stories during visit to troops in Townsville

Gemma Jones and Jessica Marszalek
Daily Telegraph
August 13 2013

SPEAKING to troops in Townsville, Kevin Rudd told his own war story about how he too had gone outside "the wire" into the danger zone in Afghanistan.

Casting himself as a Prime Minister who had ventured beyond safe Australian bases in the war-torn country, he said he had "gone out" into the field once or twice.

Mr Rudd made the remarks after thanking 100 soldiers at Lavarack Barracks for their service to Australia and he promised to do more to help their comrades who struggle to return to civilian life.

Many raised their hands when he asked who had served in Afghanistan.

He urged them to visit the War Memorial in Canberra to see the latest exhibition on the Afghanistan War, which has claimed 40 Australians, including four who were based at Townsville, and shared his own experience of the conflict.

"If you get down to Canberra have a look at the new exhibit on Afghanistan," he said.

"The War Memorial has got the best piece of what I would describe as live action film of what it is like to be in the field in Afghanistan ... right at the point of engagement with the enemy.

"I was just taken aback, I have been to Tarin Kowt many times, probably five or six times now, and I have been basically behind the wire, once or twice I have gone out."

He said the exhibition "reminds us that this was not the odd angry shot - Afghanistan - this is a real, hard-fought war on the ground."

Mr Rudd's spokeswoman said he had ventured outside an Australian base during a three-day visit as Foreign Minister in March 2011.

The spokeswoman said Mr Rudd, who visited an Australian base with his wife Therese Rein last month, saw the work of troops during the time in the field.

Australia's Dear Leader, Lu Kewen aka.Kevin 07 (r) seen here with Consort Madame Rein (l) on the front line in Afghanistan earlier this month.

After a tour of the Townsville on Tuesday in which he inspected a camouflage exercise and two Light Weight Howitzer gunners, he asked the soldiers to gather so he could thank them for their bravery.

"For all of you here and through to your comrades still in Afghanistan, another reason for coming here today is just to say thank you for the work that you and the Australian Defence Force have done in all of our name in Afghanistan," he said.

"As you know, in Afghanistan, 40 of our best and bravest have not come home, 250-odd have been wounded."

Referring to Private Benjamin Ranaudo, Private Matthew Lambert, Captain Bryce Duffy and Lance Corporal Luke Gavin, he said: "And you've lost four or five here from this very base at Lavarack and we remember them today as well."

Mr Rudd made the visit after campaigning at a nearby childcare centre in the LNP-held seat of Herbert, which is on a 2.2 per cent margin, where he pledged $30.6 million to train more childcare, disability support and aged care workers.

NSW Counter Terrorism Squad says proceeds of crime in Australia are used to fund terrorism groups overseas

Mark Morri Crime Editor
The Daily Telegraph
August 12 2013

YOUNG Islamic extremists are committing crimes in Sydney to send money overseas to terrorist groups or to pay for their own trips to countries where they come in contact with extremists groups.

The head of the NSW Counter Terrorism Squad, Assistant Commissioner Peter Dein, said some of the proceeds of crimes had been funnelled into overseas terrorist organisations.

"It is well documented that in the past there has been a link between criminal activity and funding of terrorism," he said.

Assistant Commissioner Dein said he could not comment on individual cases but he conceded funds were, in some cases, finding "their way into the wrong hands".

The most pressing concern for the Counter Terrorism Squad and national intelligence services is young Australians being recruited and involved in terrorist camps overseas, especially in Syria, where it has been estimated more than 100 Australian dual nationals are suspected of fighting with the al-Nusra Front, al-Qaeda's affiliate in Syria.

"We know there are people going overseas and getting involved with insurgents," Assistant Commissioner Dein said. "How do they get there, who pays for their airfares, for spending money? Also what are they doing there, who are they associated with and what are they bringing back or doing when they get back?"

He said the squad was investigating these cases, following the money trails and examining any links with organisations or individuals in Sydney or the rest of Australia.

He said there was "not a lot of proven cases" but "what is of concern is the unknown".

He would not comment on individual cases as investigations were ongoing. However, a known extreme radical was involved in a theft and was caught on listening devices saying he wanted his portion of the robbery to go to the "cause".

In another case, debt collector and businessman Vasko Boskovski _ who was gunned down outside his home in Earlwood _ was a co-director in a company with convicted Punchbowl terrorist Khaled Sharrouf, who was jailed in 2005 for plotting to blow up the Lucas Heights nuclear reactor.

Assistant Commissioner Dein stressed the vast majority of money transfers going overseas were for valid reasons.

"But some of those funds do find their way into the wrong hands," he said.

But he said it was virtually impossible to estimate what percentage of the money was not for legitimate means.

Detectives have interviewed some of those who have returned from Syria and information is still being assessed.

"But it is only a small number because many have not returned," he said. "Obviously there are people we are concerned about and we keep a watch but it the unknown that is the biggest worry."

He said one of the biggest sources of information came from the Muslim community.

"They are vital to helping us keep abreast of what is happening in the community."

Counter Terrorism and Special Tactics command has just under 600 people at its disposal, including bomb response, rescue and negotiators.

Election debate: Kevin Rudd accused of cheating after using notes during debate

Patrick Lion
Daily Telegraph
August 11 2013

KEVIN Rudd has been accused of cheating during the leaders' debate after using speaking notes to help him against Tony Abbott.

The debate's moderator, Sky News political editor David Speers, revealed following the debate that the Prime Minister had used the paperwork against the rules.

Footage of Mr Rudd shows he was holding a pile of papers and he appeared to repeatedly reference them while talking.

Economy dominates leadership debate

Lacklustre affair offered nothing new

But Speers said he had not noticed during the showdown as he was focusing on his own job moderating and asking questions.

According to the rules signed off by both parties and issued by the National Press Club on Friday, both Mr Abbott and Mr Rudd were prohibited from having pre-prepared paperwork.

"The leaders may have a pen and paper on the lectern and no other documentation or props,'' the rules state.

In the debate wrap up, Speers said: "Kevin Rudd had notes. That wasn't allowed under the rules.''

Liberal frontbencher Andrew Robb later seized on the issue, pointing to the Prime Minister's claims the election was about trust.

"Mr Rudd said this election is about trust and the first thing he did was cheat," Mr Robb said.

"He broke the agreed rules about no notes. I think Tony Abbott looked like a leader and Kevin Rudd look a reader."

The Prime Minister's office did not respond to inquiries last night but he had joked before the debate about his preparations on Twitter, where he posted a photo of himself surrounded by paperwork.

"I have lots of official briefs for the debate," he tweeted.

"Does anyone have some good jokes? KRudd."

Commentators panned Mr Rudd for looking down at his notes during the debate and not speaking frankly off-the-cuff.

Labor figure Graham Richardson said: "If I was Kevin Rudd, I would sack whoever wrote them."

Sky News commentator Peter Van Onselen declared it "cheating" and said it was "outrageous" - even if it was a silly rule in the first place.

"The rules are laid out and both leaders have agreed to it ... it is a disadvantage to Tony Abbott," he said.

"Kevin Rudd cheated."

A spokesman for Mr Rudd said: "There was absolutely no intention to do anything other than comply with the rules.

"The PM arrived at lectern in full view of the audience and the panel. There were no objections raised at any time.

"We have always believed this rule is aimed at preventing the use of props.

"The PM is happy to debate Mr Abbott at any time during the election campaign without notes."

Australian Tax Payers to be forced to fund Labor's SAVAGES of Choice in Syria.

Bob Carr reveals plan to take lead role in aid for Syrian refugees

Simon Benson
The Daily Telegraph

AUSTRALIA has taken a lead role in Syria's humanitarian crisis amid warnings that if not resolved within months, the world would have to deal with the greatest exodus of refugees since World War II.

Foreign Minister Bob Carr last night took an emergency aid plan to a meeting of European foreign leaders and the Arab League which said Australia would immediately boost its medical and food aid by $24 million for the two million people so far forced from their homes.

Mr Carr said Australia would also offer to help rebuild a future democratic government in the war-torn Middle Eastern country, but demanded terrorist groups such as al-Qaeda played no role in ruling the country.

The country's chemical weapons would also have to be secured so they did not fall into the hands of terrorists.

Australia would not be spared the ultimate knock-on effects of millions of refugees if the regime of Bashar al-Assad was not removed.

"The Syrian war is one of the world's great humanitarian disasters," Mr Carr said. "It has been described as risking the greatest refugee crisis since World War II."

Syria News

On April 11, 2013, a Syrian Army helicopter transporting food supplies to villages and Army units was attacked and brought down by NATO’s best assets, the al-Qaeda Free Syrian Army terrorists, using the latest weapons provided by their sponsors. The terrorists rushed to the downed chopper, decapitated the pilots then put their severed heads on the barbecue grill (photo below).

The grilled heads were then placed on metal sticks and paraded through the towns and villages under the control of NATO’s terrorists.
Ironically, Syrian-based media have all been banned in Europe, USA, and Canada. Syrian state and private TV channels were all taken off the air in a decision from the EU & the Arab League in order to cover the news with their own anti-Assad bias.

Meanwhile the USA (Soon to be Bob Carr's Australian Labor Party with Australian Tax Payers taxes)and its allies are trying to segregate the worst of the savages from the regular savages in order to keep supporting the lesser savages.

Marxiist's now demanding even more money to "fix" the problems they have created in our schools ------The Gonski illusion

The Gonski illusion

Miranda Devine –
Daily Telegraph
Tuesday, April 02, 2013 (7:52pm)

THE most despicable thing about the “I give a Gonski” ads on TV is their dishonest use of a young boy struggling to read. This struggle is a tragedy going on in our classrooms every day.

As many as 30 per cent of Australian children leave school functionally illiterate. Children of normal intelligence can’t read because their teachers have not been taught the most effective way to teach them - which is systematic, explicit phonics instruction, linking the letters in our alphabet to sounds.

If these children are unlucky enough to come from a home where their parents can’t overcome the schooling deficit, they are doomed to illiteracy and consigned to the margins.

The militant left-wing Australian Education Union that pays for the ads offers a self-serving lie for a solution. It pretends that more money will magically fix the problems.

“If public schools don’t get urgent funding more of our kids will get left behind,” intones the narrator, exhorting parents to “give a gonski”.

The noun in that catchphrase refers to businessman David Gonski, whose report into school funding has become a magic wand of mythical proportions. It recommended the federal government spend $6.5 billion a year extra on smaller classes and more specialist
teachers.

Julia Gillard, who wants to be known as the “education prime minister”, will finalise funding with the states on April 19, at the Council of Australian Governments meeting, trying to create the illusion of Gonski billions, despite the fact the government is broke.

But the fact is that more money does not equal better education. It’s how you spend the money that counts.

Australia increased spending on schools by more than 40 per cent last decade and the results are a disgrace . The reading skills of our Year 4 students are the worst of every English-speaking country tested in the first Progress in

International Reading Literacy Study (PIRLS) last year of 325,000 students. One quarter of our students couldn’t even manage to read at the basic minimum standard for their age group.

These are children whose entire school life has been under the Labor government, which promised an education revolution and instead provided some overpriced school halls and laptop computers.

The revolution needed is not in bricks and silicon chips. What’s needed is the destruction of the progressive education ideology that has held sway at teacher training institutions for more than 40 years.

The man who you might genetically design for that brutal job is Christopher Pyne, who is likely to become the federal minister for education after the next election, if the polls are any indication. Unlike most of his predecessors, Pyne is unlikely to be bullied or
hoodwinked by the education establishment into accepting its most destructive intellectual fads.

For Pyne, 45, the reading wars - between phonics advocates and whole language devotees - is deeply personal.

His father, Dr Remington Pyne, was an eye surgeon who took a special interest in dyslexia when Christopher’s oldest brother was diagnosed with reading problems - and helped found SPELD, a non-profit group to help people with learning difficulties.

Pyne also has four children of his own at school in Adelaide, from kindergarten to Year 7. His 12-year-old twins, Eleanor and Barnaby, are dyslexic , and he says his life experience has “given me a particular insight into education”.

He says Gonski has been a “distraction from the real debate which is the quality of education (which is) determined by the quality of teachers, parental engagement, a robust curriculum and decisions being made as locally as possible by principals and leadership teams”.

On teacher quality he says: “We need to recognise that teacher training in the last 10 or 20 years not been what the market tells us we need… There’s been a battle in education departments and universities since the 1970s about the direction of education, and one side has been winning.”

That winner is, “the progressive side that rejects traditional teaching methods and a traditional curriculum. Student-centred learning is part of that and an acceptance of lowest common denominator outcomes, a specific rejection of excellence and a view schools are not about knowledge but about skills, which I think is poisonous. Students have to be about knowledge first and skills second”.

“This is a very hard row to hoe in Australia because most educators today have been trained in this progressive approach to education and nobody wants to disagree.”

As a model for the rest of the country, he points to Western Australia, where the Barnett government has given schools the option to take control of their budgets. Principals now have the power to choose the best teachers and spend their money the way that suits
students.

“This is anathema to anyone who wants central control of education ... my intention, should I be fortunate enough to become education minister, will be to radically alter the way we think about education in Australia, to place competition, the individual and
self-reliance at the centre of our education system,” he says.

To do any good, Pyne will have to nuke the progressive education establishment. But if anyone has the courage and cunning to win that war, it’s him.

UPDATE: In comments, below, teacher-librarian Sandra claims that “at no time have I ever come across a teacher who has not included phonics as part of their Reading program in any Primary school in which I have taught.”

This is one of the most insidious developments of the so-called reading wars - the incorporation of incidental phonics as a sop to shut up the critics. It has led well-meaning teachers down the wrong path.

The evidence-based research on reading shows that “including” some token phonics instruction in what is essentially a whole language program is not optimal. What is needed, as found by the National inquiry into the teaching of literacy ,chaired by the eminent late Professor Ken Rowe, is: “[early] systematic, direct and explicit phonics instruction so that children master the essential alphabetic code-breaking skills required for foundational reading proficiency.” Systematic. Direct. Explicit. Not incidental.

(I was a member of the inquiry committee.)

Macquarie University Sexual assault: Labor HIDES Illegal's throughout Australian community

Asylum seekers' secret homes in community

GEMMA JONES and CLEMENTINE CUNEO
The Daily Telegraph
February 26, 2013 12:00AM

MANY of the 9000 asylum seekers living in the community have been found sleeping in garages, on couches and in boarding houses.

Asylum Seeker Attack :The Union/ GetUp funded Federal Labor Green Loon Independent minority Co Party Government has placed 80 illegal immigrant males next door to teenage female students. WHY?

Sydney Australia, Labor's Malmo in the Pacific?

A group that houses some of those on bridging visas said asylum seekers were in inappropriate accommodation.Paul Bottrill, of House of Welcome in Carramar, said: "We have, in the last quarter, had 55 referrals - many were staying in backpacker hostels, sleeping on couches or in garages."

About 55 refugees have also been housed at the Macquarie University campus where a student was sexually assaulted in her room last week.

Police have confirmed they are investigating whether an asylum seeker was involved.

The victim's housemates revealed yesterday that before the attack they had begged for the accommodation operator, Campus Living Villages, to reconsider housing middle-aged male asylum seekers near young female students.

Last night the company said it had since offered to move "affected residents" but none wanted to go.

The refugees are staying at the campus under a program driven by the Red Cross, which has been contracted by the federal government to provide initial accommodation for asylum seekers.

Under that same program, Sydney lodges and hotels are taking asylum seekers for as little as $20 a night.

Dulwich Hill Lodge owner Frank Bilotta said he had asylum seekers sleeping up to eight to a dorm for stretches of between four and six weeks.

"The Red Cross book them in and then they bring them," he said.

"They could pay me more but unfortunately that is the way it is at the moment."

Rooms at Ryde's AMG Motel and Serviced Apartments cost between $120 and $180 per night but a staff member said it was full with asylum seekers.

"We are full up right now with the immigration people. They are fine, no trouble to us at all," the staff member said.

Campus Living Villages said last night the number of asylum seekers staying on Macquarie University campus had fallen from 55 to 45 as students began arriving for the academic year.

Security had been bolstered since the sexual assault, it said.

But student Daisy Stone, who was in the house last Thursday when her friend was attacked at 3.30am, said the victim and her housemates wanted the men moved."It is so inappropriate to have a house full of 19- and 20-year-old girls, living in the middle of all these middle-aged men," she said.

"Only us and the townhouse next door are women, the rest are all refugees. We aren't racist, we just don't think it's right to house us in the middle of them.

"It should never have come to this, but something really has to be done so this doesn't happen to someone else.A BOAT with 68 asylum seekers was intercepted off Ashmore Island on Saturday.
