Kevin Rudd urged to tackle extremists

ISLAMIC scholars are urging a rethink on the fight against homegrown extremism as the Rudd government stands accused of failing to match its tough talk on counter-terrorism with action.
The Rudd government should urgently boost funding for high-quality Islamic studies courses, moderate Muslim community groups, and police liaison teams to counter home-grown extremism, a leading Australian Islamic expert says.
Dr Ameer Ali
Such measures offered the best hope of blunting the potential radicalisation of hundreds of Muslim students who come to Australia to study each year. They would have a hugely positive impact on Australian Muslims, said Ameer Ali, vice-president of the Regional Islamic Council of Southeast Asia and the Pacific.
Dr Ali's call follows a blunt warning by the Australian Strategic Policy Institute that the government had failed to match its tough talk on countering local extremism with the resources needed to deliver a solution.
Attorney-General Robert McClelland warned in March that a terrorist attack in Australia had "as much prospect of emanating from disgruntled and alienated Australian youth as it does from an overseas terrorist organisation". Government concerns about extremism were again raised by the Attorney-General's
Department in the May budget portfolio statement to "develop and progress" moves to reduce the risk of resort to violent extremism.
Despite the warnings, no new funding was provided to the Attorney-General's Department for programs to counter local extremism, ASPI's research programs director Anthony Bergin says in a new report.
"At this stage it's not clear what direction the Australian government's counter-extremism policy will take," he says. "It's unclear, for example, what the Attorney-General's Department's new body of counter-extremism work will look like or when it will commence. It's disappointing that the Attorney-General's Department was given no new funding to advance their counter-extremism work in this year's budget."
Australia's growing Muslim population numbers more than 300,000.
ASIO said in its latest annual report it was "aware of a significant number of Australians" who hold or have held extremist views, Dr Bergin said.
"Some of these Australians have shown a willingness to put these views into action - some have travelled overseas to train with terrorist groups or engage in jihad activities."
Mr McClelland said the government was committed to countering home-grown extremism and had looked to Britain and Singapore for possible models.
"Deradicalisation and rehabilitation strategies will necessarily be considered as part of this work," Mr McClelland told The Australian.
The Australian Federal Police had also developed a national community engagement strategy to "establish, maintain and enhance" relationships with the (Muslim) community," he added.
Speaking from Perth yesterday, Dr Ali, a Murdoch University academic and former chair of the Howard government's Muslim Community Reference Group, said university courses offering a "critical analysis" of Islamic studies should be used to counter home-grown extremism and act as a moderating influence on foreign students.
"These students are coming from a particular mindset.
"If we don't train these students to think critically they'll just continue to believe what they believe," he said.
"And we have to target the funding to train the trainers, the teachers at Muslim schools."
I have heard of "man made disaster makers and facilitators" but whats all this talk of Muslim extremists " whats all this about? "God" himself, has just spent the past six months reminding us all that Islam and it's followers are a "great civilizing force" and have played a "large part in the making of the USA" and "Islam is one of the worlds great Religions"
"God" said, just last week of Islam "..... As a student of history, I also know civilization’s debt to Islam. It was Islam – at places like Al-Azhar University – that carried the light of learning through so many centuries, paving the way for Europe’s Renaissance and Enlightenment. It was innovation in Muslim communities that developed the order of algebra; our magnetic compass and tools of navigation; our mastery of pens and printing; our understanding of how disease spreads and how it can be healed. Islamic culture has given us majestic arches and soaring spires; timeless poetry and cherished music; elegant calligraphy and places of peaceful contemplation. And throughout history, Islam has demonstrated through words and deeds the possibilities of religious tolerance and racial equality.
I know, too, that Islam has always been a part of America’s story. The first nation to recognize my country was Morocco. In signing the Treaty of Tripoli in 1796, our second President John Adams wrote, “The United States has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion or tranquility of Muslims.” And since our founding, American Muslims have enriched the United States. They have fought in our wars, served in government, stood for civil rights, started businesses, taught at our Universities, excelled in our sports arenas, won Nobel Prizes, built our tallest building, and lit the Olympic Torch. And when the first Muslim-American was recently elected to Congress, he took the oath to defend our Constitution using the same Holy Koran that one of our Founding Fathers – Thomas Jefferson – kept in his personal library.
So I have known Islam on three continents before coming to the region where it was first revealed. That experience guides my conviction that partnership between America and Islam must be based on what Islam is, not what it isn’t. And I consider it part of my responsibility as President of the United States to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam wherever they appear...."
So with all that "God " says Islam and its followers has going for them / it, the infidel nation of Australia, receives a demand by its Muslim colonialist and fifth column dissitents to PAY them to behave like civilized human beings .... or else ... or else what?

Backing resistance no crime: PM's man

Australians should be able to support the armed resistance against foreign forces in Iraq - including Australian soldiers - without being thrown in jail, a leading member of the Federal Government's Muslim advisory body said yesterday.
In remarks that set him on a collision course with the Federal Government's new anti-terrorism laws, the president of the Australian Federation of Islamic Councils, Ameer Ali, said the laws went too far and it was time to "draw a line through them".
"If you speak in support of the resistance in Iraq, that must not be seen as promoting terrorism in this country," he told the Herald yesterday.
Dr Ali - a leading moderate who acted as spokesman for the group of Muslims picked by the Prime Minister, John Howard, for his Canberra summit - said he would discuss the issue with the Attorney-General, Philip Ruddock, next week.
"He's giving us a briefing and I will be making our views on this known to him," he said.
While it has long been a crime under sedition laws to finance or participate in military action against Australian troops, the new laws add another dimension.
As the laws were first proposed by Mr Howard on September 8, people face between three and seven years in prison if they "communicate inciting messages directed against other groups within our community, including against Australia's forces overseas and in support of Australia's enemies".
Mr Howard has said the laws will not stop people criticising the war or calling for the withdrawal of Australia's troops, but actually speaking in favour of the insurgency does appear to fall within the definition of the new offence.
Under the new laws, groups that "advocate terrorism" can be banned, and in-principle support for the Iraqi insurgency would possibly qualify for this.
The Foreign Minister, Alexander Downer, has denounced the insurgents as terrorists, not least because they use techniques such as suicide and roadside bombings against civilians.
But hostility to the invasion of Iraq is widespread among Muslims, and some believe the insurgency is a legitimate response, arguing the US-led forces have also caused many thousands of civilian deaths.
A spokeswoman for Mr Ruddock said the incitement provisions would be drafted carefully and involve consultation with those with concerns about civil liberties.

"The chief weapon in the quiver of all Islamist expansionist movements, is the absolute necessity to keep victims largely unaware of the actual theology plotting their demise. To complete this deception, a large body of ‘moderates’ continue to spew such ridiculous claims as “Islam means Peace” thereby keeping non-Muslims from actually reading the Qur’an, the Sira, the Hadith, or actually looking into the past 1400 years of history. Islamists also deny or dismiss the concept of ‘abrogation’, which is the universal intra-Islamic method of replacing slightly more tolerable aspects of the religion in favor of more violent demands for Muslims to slay and subdue infidels"

A MAN has been arrested after a TV cameraman was hospitalised and a photographer was allegedly punched in the face in a vicious assault on Sydney media crews today.
Representatives from The Daily Telegraph, Channel 9, 10 and 7 were allegedly set upon in an unprovoked attack in the car park separating KFC and McDonalds in Five Dock shortly before 2am.
Two men, believed to be aged in their twenties, allegedly walked into the car park through a driveway and shouted obscenities, including racial taunts, before being asked to stop.
It was then they allegedly attacked, knocking Daily Telegraph photographer Bill Hearne to the ground with a punch to the mouth.
A third man allegedly jumped out of a car stopped at the McDonalds drive-through bay to join in the assault.
One of the cameramen was concussed after allegedly being hit in the face with a torch. He also sustained cuts and bruises to the face.
He was taken to Concord Hospital and will undergo scans this morning.
The assault lasted around five minutes, with officers from the Burwood Local Area Command as well as police from a nearby Highway Patrol quick to arrive on scene.
A man was arrested and taken to Burwood Police Station where he was charged with occasioning actual bodily harm, two counts of assault and one charge of affray.
Police are determining whether or not he will face court today, and will also be reviewing the CCTV footage of the incident.
There is more to this story, obviously Sydney's major TV and Newspaper staff don't by chance all end up in a car park at 2 am in the morning.

A Smart Intelligent Book Reading Woman meets the Game Warden
The following was sent to me by a very smart, intelligent, book reading woman.
One morning the husband returns after several hours of fishing and decides to take a nap. Although not familiar with the lake, the wife decides to take the boat out. She motors out a short distance, anchors, and reads her book.
Along comes a Game Warden in his boat. He pulls up alongside the woman and says, 'Good morning, Ma'am. What are you doing?'
'Reading a book,' she replies, (thinking, 'Isn't that obvious?')
'You're in a Restricted Fishing Area,' he informs her.
'I'm sorry, officer, but I'm not fishing. I'm reading'
'Yes, but you have all the equipment. For all I know you could start at any moment. I'll have to take you in and write you up.'
'For reading a book,' she replies.
'You're in a Restricted Fishing Area,' he informs her again.
'I'm sorry, officer, but I'm not fishing. I'm reading'
'Yes, but you have all the equipment. For all I know you could start at any moment. I'll have to take you in and write you up.'
'If you do that, I'll have to charge you with Sexual assault,' says the woman.
'But I haven't even touched you,' says the game warden.
'That's true, but you have all the equipment. For all I know you could start at any moment.'
'Have a nice day ma'am,' and he left.
MORAL: Never argue with a woman who reads. It's likely she can also think. Send this to four women who are thinkers and any man who may appreciate it. If you receive this, you know you're intelligent.

Vale: Professor Christopher O'Brien, God Bless this GREAT Australian.
Tumour claims cancer specialist

Christopher O'Brien paid tribute to his family.
CHRISTOPHER O'BRIEN, the world-renowned cancer specialist who died from a brain tumour last night, acquired many honours during his career, including being made an officer in the Order of Australia, to be announced in the Queen's Birthday honours list on Monday.
But, in his final interview two days ago, Professor O'Brien said what mattered most to him was his standing in the eyes of his three adult children: "I just
want my children to really know they knew their father well and they loved and admired him as a person. That's my only wish really."
Professor O'Brien, who was 57, led research into head and neck cancer in Australia and operated on hundreds of patients, including the Test cricketer Norman O'Neill and the Dragon lead singer Marc Hunter.
Diagnosed with a brain tumour in November 2006, he refused to bow to his grim prognosis. He had five major operations before succumbing to the disease in Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
The Herald visited the doctor at his Hunters Hill home on Wednesday to discuss his AO, awarded for his achievement in establishing the $150 million Lifehouse Centre at the hospital, the first purpose-built integrated cancer centre in Australia.
The man who played rugby for Sydney University and was well-known to television audiences as a vigorous and charismatic surgeon on the reality show RPA, sat hunched in an armchair, surrounded by books, his dog asleep at his feet.
Six weeks ago he had become paralysed on his left side, yet he retained the tenacity of mind that powered his stellar career.
He seemed keen to write his own legacy. Before the first question, he stated there were three things he wanted to get across: "The first is that I'm honoured to be recognised. Second is that, in my 30 years as a doctor and more than 20 years working as a specialist cancer surgeon, I really haven't achieved anything that was worthwhile by myself. I've been supported and assisted by many unselfish, dedicated people, the most important of whom has been my wife Gail.
"Thirdly, there are thousands of people in Australia who work quietly and humbly and who are very dedicated, who don't get recognised."
He paid tribute to the Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, for backing the cancer centre, which he believed was essential to meet the growing challenge of cancer among the ageing population.
He said he wanted to become a doctor because he was "an idealist … and it would allow me to use what few talents I had to the best advantage".
Though his physical condition had deteriorated in the final months of his life, he was grateful he could read, and be read to by his wife and children.
He said his work had prepared him for the disease and for death: "I think inevitably I'll die of this, and I'm not frightened of dying. I'm at peace with my situation, I'm not willing it to come quick but it will come soon enough."
Gail and his children were with him at the end.

How Low will Obowma Go on his Middle Eastern Hate America Tour ?
Saudi's Dictate terms of Obowma's Hate America Tour
DickMorris.com
"First, he is bypassing Israel. Visiting the Middle East and not going to Israel would be like touring North America and omitted a stop in the United States. It only makes sense if you interpret it as a deliberate slap in the face of Jerusalem and a statement to the Arab world that America's pro-Israeli policy is changing.
But as he goes to Saudi Arabia, the United States State Department, headed by Mrs. Hillary Clinton, has announced that it has accepted the ground rules for media coverage of the Obama visit to the royal family and its domain. Reporters will only be allowed to cover the actual meetings between the Saudis and Obama and will not be permitted to visit the rest of the country or report on anything else they see during the trip. Those reporters who violate these terms are subject to arrest and imprisonment by the Saudi government!!!
Hillary and Obama accepted these terms.
Since when does the U.S. government act as the assistant to the Saudi monarchy in charge of controlling the media? And since when would an American president permit this shackling of the media and still proceed with the diplomatic visit without a murmur of protest? "

Hussein Obama and now Kevin 07's Uighur Muslim problem
Obama’s stuck with his Gitmo promises
Piers Akerman
News.com.au
Monday, June 01, 2009
US PRESIDENT Obama is in a jam and wants Australians to help him out. Like our own Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, Obama ran an election campaign big on promises that he is having difficulty keeping.
One of those big promises was a pledge to close Guantanamo Bay in the first 100 days of his presidency. But first Obama has to find somewhere to place its remaining 250 or so inmates, most of whom are unlikely to face prosecution.
Among those who won’t face court action are 17 Uighur people. The US would like Australia to accept them.
The Uighur are Muslims from northern China. They want a separate Muslim homeland; there is little doubt they are persecuted by the Chinese, just as are the Tibetans. There is little doubt that they would not be safe from the Chinese, if they were returned to their homes.
But Obama wasn’t thinking about the Uighur when he vowed to close the Guantanamo. He was playing domestic politics, appealing to people like his married friends Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn, a pair of America’s worst urban terrorists, in whose living room he is said to have decided on a political career.
Ayers and Dohrn were members of the Weathermen, a group of terrorists who blew up government buildings around the US in the late ‘60s and early ‘70s, fortunately killing no-one but three of their own members.
Obama has learnt that the views of Ayers and Dohrn are not representative of many other Americans, most of whom realise that Gitmo houses some very bad people. No matter how small-L liberal Obama’s supporters are, they are not liberal enough to want Gitmo-quality people living in their neighbourhood.
Obama didn’t see this coming. Nor was he aware of a Pentagon report recently obtained by The New York Times which found that one in seven of the 534 prisoners transferred abroad from Guantanamo Bay returned to terrorism or militant activity.
Even Obama’s own Democrat Party colleagues are baulking at resettling Guantanamo Bay inmates in the US, which is why Obama has asked Australia to take at least some of the Uighur prisoners who have been held there for the past seven years.
This is the third request the US has made to Australia to accept Uighur detainees, the first two being made by the Bush administration.
This request differs, however, from those made by the Bushies, as former president Bush made no pledge to close Guantanamo and the approach to Australia was a resettlement issue, rather than the domestic US political problem it has now become.
Australia is essentially being asked to take the 10 Uighur to help Obama out of a political jam of his own making.
According to Mamtimin Ala, the general secretary of the Australian Uighur Association and member of the executive committee of the World Uighur Congress, the Uighur have been found not to be enemy combatants by the US courts and the US now has a moral responsibility to offer them homes in the US.
“It is primarily a US problem,” Ala told me. “But the American government fears creating outrage and unexpected repercussions if they permitted those Uighur to resettle in the US.”
Ala, a human rights activist who was granted an Australian protection visa last year and now has permanent residency here, previously lived in Brussels where he studied at a Belgian university for his masters in philosophy.
He argues that because Australia was a partner in the war on terror, it should accept a degree of responsibility for the Guantanamo inmates, if the US will not resettle them.
That argument is a little weak.
Australia needs migrants who want to be Australians, not migrants who see their future as hyphenated-Australians, owing a shared allegiance to another nation, and supporting foreign militants.
We already have difficulty dealing with groups who refuse to embrace the clearly recognisable Australian identity, preferring to fight ethnic and religious wars either by proxy though fund-raising exercises or through violence at sporting events and other opportunistic moments.
This is a difficult call as we have about 5000 Uighur living here now, and according to all accounts, quite peaceably, just as we have a small number of Tibetans.
There is no doubt that China would not like America or Australia to accept the Guantanamo Uighur.
China is a bully and China requires its diplomats to organise its expatriate communities to intervene in our domestic politics and make its views felt but that should not be a concern.
What is clear here is that Guantanamo, and the fall-out from Obama’s domestic policies, is not a matter for Australia.
When he led the triumphal chant, “Yes, we can,” Obama should have realised there were a few things that blind optimism could not achieve.
He didn’t think things through and we should not be there now to save his political goals. If he thinks he can convince Australians and Australian politicians that the Uighur pose no threat, he can convince his own electors of the same thing.

Just Add Hyperinflation: Its Armageddon

As I stand upon the mountain top, over looking the huddling masses of the peasants of humanity. My long beard and shanks rippling in the wind, my grizzled staff raised high, pointing at the dark mass of rolling darkness, darkness broken only rarely by the crackle of lightening. It is a darkness like no other, a mass of despair, a malice that is palatable and pungent in its hostility. My voice booms like the thunder of that storm, pummeling the gathered, clutching masses of frightened humanity: rich and poor, high and low, man and woman.
"Behold! Your Lord High Economist, the godling Keynes, through his priests the Interventionist Central Bankers have declared!" I pause for dramatic effect, fear and mysticism in the eyes of the masses. Mysticism at the mention of the shadowy man, nah godling John Maynard Keynes, fear at the coming of his Central Bankers. "Thou, sinners, thou thrifters, thou who have questioned his eternal Wisdom...now fear the fires of Inflation! Thou wilest be purged of your doubt and your consumer debt through the fires of Inflation! And since you voiced your doubt! Since you questioned the Will! It will be no simple inflation BUT...(more dramatic pause)...DEPRESSIONARY-HYPERINFLATION! You will eat grass and choke on weeds as you fondly remember steak dinners and red wine!"
Gasps come from the huddle masses. Women cry out in shock and dismay. Babies wale, their cries mixing with the howling of the wind that brings the storm of Depressionary-Hyperinflation. The gnashing of teeth is heard over all. The End is neigh, thy punishment severe. I laugh the laughter of the mad, my eyes sparkling in the coming darkness.
"But how will this be worse then just Hyperinflation or a Great Depression?" comes a brave voice from the masses and suddenly the people's fear is abetted. Hope once more arises in their eyes that maybe, just maybe, this all is not as bad as they had but moments before feared. Even the storm seems to pause, rolling and pulsing but some how less menacing and stationary.
"Hmmm, this will not do, not do at all!" I think. "I will have to explain myself so that these fools will once more tremble." I pull up my robes around my knees and settle down upon the rock, perching over the masses, a wicked wisdom covering my face.
"To find this answer, let us examine, oh huddled masses, the difference between Hyperinflation and Depression and how both would normally effect your lives." They listen attentively.
"In a hyperinflationary situation, one usually created by a hyper expansionary government, a debt loaded economy or some catastrophe such as a major war, the money supply is rapidly expanded. The economy continues to roll along, jobs continue to exist as demand also continues to exist. At first, the workers are freed from their debts, as the amounts owned literally melt away in the face of larger and larger pay checks. Of course, as is usual, salaries rarely stay up to date with prices, which are much more agile and elastic. Soon the worker finds that while debt free, he can afford less and less to buy with his ever more worthless money, but at least, ground under the heel of hyperinflation, he is still employed and remains fed, even if on bread and processed meat rather then on croissants and steak."
They bob their heads in understanding. Many of these peoples of the world have lived all their lives with inflations of one level or another and quite a few with hyperinflation. It is, after all, the order of the century, as the godling Keynes dictated to the interventionist fiat monetary systems. I go on.
"Then there is depression, something that most of you know little about. First spending falls, then output falls to match the new lower demand levels. Of course excess employees are laid off. These in turn spend little if anything and their employed brethren also spend much less, in fear of losing their jobs. Less spent means less produced and the cycle repeats. Debt become overwhelming and crushing, as the value of the dollar becomes greater, again, adding to the cycle. Of course, for those tens of millions unemployed, at least what few savings they have and what little money they get from their governments, will now buy them more then it did before. The pricing levels of the system are reset and will be kinder to future generations, but like most such things, it is painful and a nasty, if not necessary a long, process."
"But how does this link back to Depressionary-Hyperinflation?" again that doubting Thomas. Enough of this, time to learn fear.
"Well," I begin, in an quite, almost gentle voice, "you see, the people fear this painful process of depression and they call upon their betters, their masters to do something, anything about it. Of course the Monetary Interventionists know only one thing to do: lower interest rates and print money. At first, this makes the pain less so and easier to bare. The problem is, especially for you millions and millions of unemployed, it is rather hard to propagate. Each easing requires more and more cash, sorta like a drug addiction. But once the cash hits the system it propagates inflation. This of course takes time to appear, so it is rather hard to guess when to much is to much and out of fear of not being enough, that gut feeling is ignored. Then comes the Hyperinflation!" I feel satisfied in my explanation, but still there is hope in their eyes!
"So..." again that voice, though this time a bit more hesitantly.
"So!" I begin, "for those 15 to 30% of you without jobs, on meager fixed government monies, on pensions and savings...hahahaa....it's over, in days and weeks, your money buys nothing as the fires of Depressionary-Hyperinflation burn it all away! You will beg, you will steal, you will burn in rage and hunger and as the living dead, you will fall upon those who still have jobs but are to poor themselves to help you and you will consume them to! Fire and flame, hunger and despair! Then you will, in your orgy of despair and destruction, turn to the saviors who will come to you, the demagogues who will enslave you! Then and only then, will you truly know suffering!" My voice rings in stark laughter. I am on my feet again, waving my staff...the dark clouds booming and rolling forth.
Now they understand, now they know, there is no hope, no salvation, not from this one. Some throw themselves at my feet, begging for salvation, others throw themselves from the nearby cliffs...but there is no salvation, no...only the Fires of Depressionary-Hyperinflation.
My laughter is swallowed by the rolls of thunder.

Pravda mourns the "American decent into Marxism"
American capitalism gone with a whimper
Pravda
27.04.2009
It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people.
True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. But we Russians would not just roll over and give up our freedoms and our souls, no matter how much money Wall Street poured into the fists of the Marxists.
Those lessons were taken and used to properly prepare the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls, to the whims of their elites and betters.
First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather then the classics. Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas then the drama in DC that directly affects their lives. They care more for their "right" to choke down a McDonalds burger or a BurgerKing burger than for their constitutional rights. Then they turn around and lecture us about our rights and about our "democracy". Pride blind the foolish.
Then their faith in God was destroyed, until their churches, all tens of thousands of different "branches and denominations" were for the most part little more then Sunday circuses and their televangelists and top protestant mega preachers were more then happy to sell out their souls and flocks to be on the "winning" side of one pseudo Marxist politician or another. Their flocks may complain, but when explained that they would be on the "winning" side, their flocks were ever so quick to reject Christ in hopes for earthly power. Even our Holy Orthodox churches are scandalously liberalized in America.
The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America's short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more then another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Wiemar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe.
These past two weeks have been the most breath taking of all. First came the announcement of a planned redesign of the American Byzantine tax system, by the very thieves who used it to bankroll their thefts, loses and swindles of hundreds of billions of dollars. These make our Russian oligarchs look little more then ordinary street thugs, in comparison. Yes, the Americans have beat our own thieves in the shear volumes. Should we congratulate them?
These men, of course, are not an elected panel but made up of appointees picked from the very financial oligarchs and their henchmen who are now gorging themselves on trillions of American dollars, in one bailout after another. They are also usurping the rights, duties and powers of the American congress (parliament). Again, congress has put up little more then a whimper to their masters.
Then came Barack Obama's command that GM's (General Motor) president step down from leadership of his company. That is correct, dear reader, in the land of "pure" free markets, the American president now has the power, the self given power, to fire CEOs and we can assume other employees of private companies, at will. Come hither, go dither, the centurion commands his minions.
So it should be no surprise, that the American president has followed this up with a "bold" move of declaring that he and another group of unelected, chosen stooges will now redesign the entire automotive industry and will even be the guarantee of automobile policies. I am sure that if given the chance, they would happily try and redesign it for the whole of the world, too. Prime Minister Putin, less then two months ago, warned Obama and UK's Blair, not to follow the path to Marxism, it only leads to disaster. Apparently, even though we suffered 70 years of this Western sponsored horror show, we know nothing, as foolish, drunken Russians, so let our "wise" Anglo-Saxon fools find out the folly of their own pride.
Again, the American public has taken this with barely a whimper...but a "freeman" whimper.
So, should it be any surprise to discover that the Democratically controlled Congress of America is working on passing a new regulation that would give the American Treasury department the power to set "fair" maximum salaries, evaluate performance and control how private companies give out pay raises and bonuses? Senator Barney Franks, a social pervert basking in his homosexuality (of course, amongst the modern, enlightened American societal norm, as well as that of the general West, homosexuality is not only not a looked down upon life choice, but is often praised as a virtue) and his Marxist enlightenment, has led this effort. He stresses that this only affects companies that receive government monies, but it is retroactive and taken to a logical extreme, this would include any company or industry that has ever received a tax break or incentive.
The Russian owners of American companies and industries should look thoughtfully at this and the option of closing their facilities down and fleeing the land of the Red as fast as possible. In other words, divest while there is still value left.
The proud American will go down into his slavery with out a fight, beating his chest and proclaiming to the world, how free he really is. The world will only snicker.

Communist Goals (1963)

Congressional Record--Appendix, pp. A34-A35

Mr. HERLONG. Mr. Speaker, Mrs. Patricia Nordman of De Land, Fla., is an ardent and articulate opponent of communism, and until recently published the De
Land Courier, which she dedicated to the purpose of alerting the public to the dangers of communism in America.
At Mrs. Nordman's request, I include in the RECORD, under unanimous consent, the following "Current Communist Goals," which she identifies as an excerpt
from "The Naked Communist," by Cleon Skousen:
[From "The Naked Communist," by Cleon Skousen]
CURRENT COMMUNIST GOALS
1. U.S. acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.
2. U.S. willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war.
3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament [by] the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength.
4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.
5. Extension of long-term loans to Russia and Soviet satellites.
6. Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination.
7. Grant recognition of Red China. Admission of Red China to the U.N.
8. Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev's promise in 1955 to settle the German question by free elections under supervision of the U.N.
9. Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the United States has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress.
10. Allow all Soviet satellites individual representation in the U.N.
11. Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces. (Some Communist leaders believe the world can be taken over as easily by the U.N. as by Moscow. Sometimes these two centers compete with each other as they are now doing in the Congo.)
12. Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.
13. Do away with all loyalty oaths.
14. Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office.
15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.
16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.
17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers' associations. Put the party line in textbooks.
18. Gain control of all student newspapers.
19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.
20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policymaking positions.
21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.
22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to "eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms."
23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. "Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art."
24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them "censorship" and a violation of free speech and free press.
25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.
26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as "normal, natural, healthy."
27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a "religious crutch."
28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of "separation of church and state."
29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.
30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the "common man."
31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the "big picture." Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.
32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture--education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental healthclinics, etc.
33. Eliminate all laws or procedures which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.
34. Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities.
35. Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.
36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.
37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business.
38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand [or treat].
39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.
40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.
41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.
42. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use ["]united force["] to solve economic, political or social problems.
43. Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government.
44. Internationalize the Panama Canal.
45. Repeal the Connally reservation so the United States cannot prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction [over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction] over nations and individuals alike.

Obama's New World Order, FCC,Citizens Army GOON Squads
When you hear the knock on the door, just where will, you hide your Computer ?
You may be surprised who will knock on the door in an Obama world

Vincent GioiaEver since Obama called for a new domestic army many people waited for the next shoe to drop after his election as president but who would have expected the jackbooted knocker on your door to come from the Federal Communication Commission — "I'm from the FCC and I'm here to confiscate your computer." You may not know it, but if you have a wireless router, a cordless phone, remote car-door opener, baby monitor or cell phone in your house, the FCC claims the right to enter your home without a warrant at any time of the day or night in order to inspect it.
For many years the agency has followed this rule to monitor licensed television and radio stations, and to crack down on pirate radio broadcasters but now the FCC says the same policy applies to any licensed or unlicensed radio-frequency device. Speaking for the FCC, spokesman David Fiske said "Anything using RF energy — we have the right to inspect it to make sure it is not causing interference." That includes devices like Wi-Fi routers that use unlicensed spectrum, Fiske says.
The FCC claims it derives its warrant-less search power from the Communications Act of 1934, though the constitutionality of the claim has gone untested in the courts because the FCC had little to do with average citizens for most of the last 75 years when home transmitters were largely reserved to ham-radio operators and CB-radio aficionados. But in 2009, nearly every household in the United States has multiple devices that use radio waves and fall under the FCC's purview, making the commission's claimed authority.
I believe it's a major stretch to assert what the FCC claims is its authority with respect to a private home; this is at the core of the Fourth Amendment's protection against unreasonable search and seizure. The idea that a cell phone or a Wi-Fi connection suddenly makes the federal government able to invade your home for a warrant less search is more than bizarre. George Washington University professor Orin Kerr, a constitutional law expert, also questions the legality of the policy. In reference to a 1967 Supreme Court ruling that housing inspectors needed warrants to force their way into private residences Kerr pointed out:
The Supreme Court has said that the government can't make warrant-less entries into homes for administrative inspections.
The FCC has not explained how the agency gets around that ruling. The FCC rules came to public attention this month when an FCC agent investigating a pirate radio station in Boulder, Colorado, left a copy of a 2005 FCC inspection policy on the door of a residence having an unlicensed 100-watt transmitter.
The FCC statement said:
Whether you operate an amateur station or any other radio device, your authorization from the Commission comes with the obligation to allow inspection.
A corollary of the newly claimed and enforced FCC policy is that if inspectors should notice evidence of unrelated criminal behavior — say, a marijuana plant or stolen property — another Supreme Court decision suggests the search results can be used against the resident. In the 1987 case New York v. Burger, two police officers performed a warrant-less, administrative search of Joseph Burger's automobile junkyard. When he couldn't produce the proper paperwork, the officers searched the grounds and found stolen vehicles, which they used to prosecute him. The Supreme Court held the search to be legal.
Refusing the FCC admittance can carry a harsh financial penalty. In a 2007 case, a Corpus Christi, Texas, man got a visit from the FCC's direction-finders after re-broadcasting an AM radio station through a CB radio in his home. An FCC agent tracked the signal to his house and asked to see the equipment;
Donald Winton refused to let him in, but did turn off the radio. Winton was later fined $7,000 for refusing entry to the officer. (The fine was reduced to $225 after he proved he had little income.)
The new government claimed authority takes on even more dire prospects when you consider that it is reported Obama is considering a "preventive detention plan." President Obama told human rights advocates at the White House recently that he was mulling the need for a "preventive detention" system that would establish a legal basis for the United States to incarcerate terrorism suspects who are deemed a threat to national security but cannot be tried, according to two participants in the private session.
The discussion, in a 90-minute meeting in the Cabinet Room that included Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. and other top administration officials, came before a speech Obama gave on a number of national security matters. The two participants, outsiders who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the session was intended to be off the record, said they left the meeting "dismayed." If it were me I would have said "downright terrified."
The participants also said Obama told them he was thinking about "the long game" — how to establish a legal system that would endure for future presidents.
He raised the issue of preventive detention himself. It is reported Senior White House officials did not respond to requests for comment on the outsiders' accounts. "He was almost ruminating over the need for statutory change to the laws so that we can deal with individuals who we can't charge and detain," one participant said.
The other participant said Mr. Obama did not seem to be thinking about preventive detention for terrorism suspects now held but rather for those captured in the future. "The issue is," the participant said, "What are the options left open to a future president?" To that I say "balderdash"; with Obama's record of expanding government power and intruding on civil rights, it is more likely Obama wants to couple his new Socialist/Marxist society with Nazi-like powers.
In the World War II era people had to play their radios in the dark; have we come to the time when we will have to secret our computers and cell phones?

Rudd's Australia: Australian economy tanks while Rudd spends, spends, spends
The world is noticing Comrade Rudd's incompetence.
The Australian economy tanks while government debt and spending zooms
Gerard Jackson

Monday 31 May 2009
If Obama and his lefty mates had half the brains they pathetically think they have they would be keeping a close eye on the UK and Australia. Obama's 'economic policy' of spend, borrow and print the stuff — and keep on doing it — was also the policy of the British Labour Government. Thanks to that economic stupidity Britain is now on the brink of financial ruin and the economy is expected to contract this year by something like 4 per cent. The Australian economy is also continuing to contract despite Prime Minister Rudd's outrageous spending binge that has sent the country deep into the red for years to come.
The problem — as always — is one of lousy economics. While our economic punditry focus on consumer spending and fiscal policy they have completely overlooked the monetary situation. All the inflation indicators have been slowing since last September while M1 has been basically flat since May 2009.
Moreover, the decline in the Reserve's assets has accelerated. The latest monetary figures (they are always about two months behind) show that from February to March M1 actually contracted. In short, monetary policy is very tight.
When monetary policy tightens this should result in a slowdown in production, falling investment, rising in unemployment and a contraction in import volumes. (Westpac calculates that import volumes dropped by about 14 per cent over the Q4 and Q1). The latest figures from the Australian Bureau of
Statistics show that spending on equipment fell by 10.8 per cent in the March quarter. This is the biggest drop since this survey started in 1987. To get a better idea of how bad the situation is we need to look at manufacturing figures. The May Australian Industry Group report for April revealed that manufacturing had been contracting for eleven straight months. Australia is clearly in recession and has been for sometime.
Regardless of what the economic commentariat believes, manufacturing is a key indicator — not consumer spending. Focusing on the latter leads to confusion. Rudd's $8.4 billion cash handout represented about 3 per cent of GDP. Not surprisingly retail sails jumped by 1 per cent in the first quarter. We could get a repeat performance when most of Rudd's additional $12.7 billion injection is released in the second quarter.
As I have stressed many times before, consumer spending is only about one-third of total spending. Failure to recognise this fact comes from the fallacy that to include spending between firms in the national accounts would be double-accounting. (Businessmen are genuinely surprised when I tell them this).
Therefore it is not consumer spending but total business spending that should be monitored. Once this is realised it becomes obvious that the Australian economy went into recession last year and is still tanking. There is no way that running down the surplus and increasing government debt could have stopped this process. And there is certainly no way these policies can reverse the economy's direction. Given the Reserve's monetary stand fiscal policy in the form of greater government spending is powerless.
Treasury and Reserve officials are at a loss to explain the situation, something that Ric Battelino, the deputy governor of the Reserve Bank, made clear when he asserted that the principal reason for the difference between the sickly state of business and the current state of the housing market is the significant difference in borrowing costs, with the variable mortgage averaging 5.16 per cent while — according to Alan Kohler of the Business Specator — "the current borrowing rate for non-financial companies is 7.29 per cent".
However, since similar differences in borrowing rates exist in the US and Europe the Treasury can scarcely assert with a straight face that Australia occupies a unique position in this respect. The difference is easily explained. Firstly, as already noted, recession strikes at manufacturing first* and hence its effects will be first felt in business spending and not in consumption. In fact, consumption can continue to rise even as a recession deepens. This happened during the recession that Bush inherited. This means that any differences between borrowing rates for business and borrowing rates for housing are irrelevant.
Secondly, the government has used subsidies and low interest rates to maintain the level of Australian house prices regardless of business conditions. It's true that the US has done likewise but unlike America's utterly reckless Democrats neither the Labor Party nor the Liberal Party bullied lending institutions into giving mortgages to people who were patently unable to afford them.
Furthermore, several things need to be noted about housing. There is no housing market as such. What we have are a very large number of housing markets.
Houses in Endeavour Hills are not the same as houses in Toorak. Even within suburbs one can find a number of housing markets. Finally, it should be obvious that one cannot compare one country's 'market for housing' with that of another. Supply and demand conditions will always differ.
Mr Battelino is self-evidently clutching at straws.
*Housing too can be indicator because of its sensitivity to changes in interest rates. However, this sensitivity can evidently be blunted where mortgage rates are kept low.

Camden: Australian Infidels victorious, Muslims humiliated
Sydney Islamic school rejected
SMH
Elicia Murray
June 2, 2009 - 10:37AM
A controversial Islamic school will not be built in Camden after a court today rejected an appeal by the school's backers.
The Land and Environment Court rejected the Quranic Society's application to build a $19 million school for 900 students in a rural area on the outskirts of the town south-west of Sydney.
It found that the plans were inconsistent with the site's zoning restrictions.
Camden City Council cited planning arguments when it first blocked the proposal a year ago.
But fierce community opposition to the project often relied on racial and religious arguments.
The case attracted international media attention when two pigs' heads were rammed onto metal stakes at the site, on the corner of Cawdor and Burragarong roads, in 2007.
And at the hearing in April, the council's evidence included a letter signed by four Christian churches stating that Islam espoused views that were "incompatible with the Australian way of life".
The council's legal team also presented a DVD featuring the views of concerned residents, one of whom said the school would be a "breeding ground for terrorists".
However the council insisted its refusal was based on planning grounds, arguing it was incompatible with the rural zoning and would cause problems for traffic and neighbouring farms.
The Camden case has been the most high-profile bid to keep Islamic schools out of areas the outskirts of Sydney.
Since the Quranic Society's application was first blocked in 2007, several other applications for schools have faced strident opposition from communities on the suburban fringe.
One of the biggest Islamic schools in Australia - a 1200-student school in Bass Hill - will be built after its backers won an appeal in the Land and Environment Court last month.
This will not be the end of this matter, the Islamic colonialists, will, I am sure, appeal against this ruling.... lets hope they are unsuccessful fingers crossed.

Idiot Aussies: Grow up and take responsibility
By ALEXANDER DOWNER
The Advertiser
May 24, 2009 11:30pm
I DON'T know about you, but it's always nice to get emails. Once upon a time you'd look with pleasure at a handful of letters which dropped through the letter box. Now all you get are those threatening looking envelopes with windows. Or if you're Tom Koutsantonis, those nasty missives which tell you about passing unknowingly through a speed camera.
But this is a generalisation. At the height of the Schapelle Corby affair I received 5000 emails in one day from fellow Australians pleading with me to save "our Schapelle" from the horrors of the Indonesian legal system. Or, to be a bit more honest, the few I looked at said that.
I'm sure my successor as foreign minister, Stephen Smith, had his in box bursting last week as people demanded he save the beer mat mum, Annice Smoel, from the ravages of the Thai police.
I felt for him especially when the media started demanding he "do something" to save her.
After about 10 minutes as foreign minister I was a little surprised to learn I was "responsible" for miscreant Australians who got into trouble in foreign countries.
No, no, no, don't get it wrong - drug traffickers, drunks, kleptomaniacs and fraudsters weren't responsible for their own stupidity - I was.
It's about time that great nanny in Canberra, the Federal Government, turned around and told people they are responsible for their own decisions.
I was in Lebanon the other day and went down to the southern cities of Sidon and Tyre. They're fascinating places - old Crusader castles, bustling souks, colourful little food stalls with generous owners offering you a taste of their wares.
But I couldn't help remembering the awful events in those same places three years ago when Israel went to war with Hezbollah.
There were said to be 20,000 Australians in Lebanon at that time and a hefty percentage of them were demanding the Australian Government save them and fast.
Lebanese support groups hit the airwaves screaming that the Government was too slow getting those Australians who wanted to be evacuated to safety. But hang on, Australia's about 15,000km from Lebanon and we don't dock ships in the eastern Mediterranean ready to ferry Australians to safety.
And there was something else. We'd issued a travel advisory months earlier warning Australians of the dangers of southern Lebanon and the risks of going there.
It didn't matter - apparently we had to get them out.
We were lucky. The Australian ambassador, a petite, charming professional called Lyndall Sachs, worked day and night chartering ferries and providing comfort to the evacuees, who hadn't cared about the travel advisories, and whisked them to safety.
It was one of the great achievements of an Australian diplomat. Almost single handedly, she managed to get around 5000 Australians to Cyprus and Turkey.
We then chartered planes to take them back to Australia. I hope they built shrines to her. Some did, at least metaphorically.
But some just whinged. They felt seasick on the ferry and that was our fault. Could they get frequent flyer points for the free flight back to Australia? And all this cost around $30 million dollars - your dollars.
I'll tell you this - I didn't get 5000 emails of thanks but I got plenty of abuse because we weren't fast enough, the ferries didn't go from their port of choice and we were slow because we were racist, and so on. I mean, we'd warned them and told them not to go to the south of Lebanon. They went all the same. And when the proverbial hit the fan it was, you guessed it, "our fault".
Then there was Hurricane Katrina, which flooded much of New Orleans. A mother of an Australian who arrived in New Orleans the day the hurricane hit came to see me in Stirling and demanded I get her son out. Americans couldn't get out but I had to get her son out. I asked if he'd heard the warnings from the U.S. Government that week to avoid New Orleans.
She started shouting. He doesn't follow the news, he doesn't watch TV or read the newspapers. I see, I said. It was my fault he was in New Orleans, was it? What were we to do? Fly helicopters from Australia to America and pick up Australians and leave the Americans behind?
I didn't have the guts to say this as foreign minister but don't you think you should take responsibility for yourself when you go overseas?
If you're too dumb or idle to read the travel advisories and too mean to take out travel insurance when you go overseas then you ought to take responsibility for your own behaviour.
Sure, if there's a catastrophe like the Bali bombings or you're trapped in a corruption scam the government should try to help. But not if you're too lazy and silly to help yourself.
Remember two things when you travel. First, there are no special laws for Australians overseas. Foreigners make the laws over there, not us. And secondly, foreigners do things differently and they're entitled to.
If you go to a Muslim country and get wildly drunk and women start dressing down (if you know what I mean) it can be bloody offensive to the locals. You'll soon be in trouble.
And learn to take responsibility for your own behaviour. Stealing is wrong, even stealing beer mats. I know, I know, the beer mat mum had a few drinks but, no, she wasn't drunk and she was charmingly polite to the local police.
But she was in a foreign country with a different culture and all of us ought to respect that.

I well remember these Lebanese "flag of convenience" Australians demanding that the country they so despise and abuse,Australia, extract them from the country they call HOME once the shit hit the fan in their home.
Suddenly the Australian "life support system" and Judeo Christian legal system that they had disconnected themselves from to return HOME, was not so bad after all, and they immediately started enunciating, in the best Australian accent and terminology they could muster before the worlds TV camera's, their right, as Australian's to be repatriated to, (what they had decided, since the the Israeli's started kicking their preferred "home's" arsehole from sunrise to sunset),Australia, and whats more, those racist, bigoted, infidel, Judeo Christian, Skips,Aussie Pigs and Sluts should pay for their demands as well.
So far a fraction of the $30 plus million that it cost the Australian taxpayers to bring these gutless sniveling cowards back to Australia from the place they call HOME has been repayed by these Lebanese "flag of convenience" Australians.
The obscene debilitating costs of the hoax of Multiculturalism go on and on, this is but one example of how the western host country is cannibalised by the imposition of middle eastern colonialist's by left and Multicultural friendly governments.
