They are the words of a devout Muslim man who is determined to show the real people behind the religion.
Television commercials aimed at improving the "concerning" way many Australians perceive Muslims will soon hit our screens.
They are the brainchild of mypeace.com.au - the same group of Muslims behind the "Jesus is a Prophet of Islam" billboards across the city. I guess Diaa Mohamed and his group are not yet prepared to go as far as their fellow Islamist’s in Israel and declare Jesus a SLAVE of allah, not yet anyway.

"A lot of Muslims point the finger at the media for giving them a bad reputation but it's nobody's fault but our own," mypeace.com.au (Blasphemy Inc.) founder Diaa Mohamed said. "Muslims haven't done the job when it comes to being out there and showing who they are and what their values are.

"A lot of the things we see on television are acts by extremists and radical Muslims. (according to Muslims and their apologists there is only about 100 million of them)

The state government recently flagged new laws giving police the power to compel Muslim women to show their faces if they are suspected of committing an offence.
The move came after the case of Carnita Matthews, who was convicted and later acquitted of falsely accusing a police officer of trying to rip her niqab from her face when stopped for traffic offences.
The commercials - the first Islamic advertisement on free-to-air TV - are stage two of a plan to improve the way Muslims are viewed in Australia.
They will be unveiled at a $75-a-head dinner tonight featuring a guest appearance by Canadian Muslim rapper Boona Mohammed.
Organisers will also reveal the findings of a survey of more than 1000 people, commissioned by mypeace.com.au, which aims to educate all religions on the Islamic faith.
"When people understand other religions, only then can they accept them and have nothing to be concerned about," Mr Mohamed said.
Billboards preaching about Mohammed, Islam and the Koran have already started springing up around Sydney and the campaign features in ads on the back of more than 40 buses. As for his comment that "Muslims can be whingers", Mr Mohamed said: "A large part of that is, even though we have migrated well, we have kept who we are from Australians.
"This commercial will educate non-Muslims on Islam and the beauty of our religion.
"We can't keep letting other people paint a picture of who we are."

So this Muslim is urging fellow Muslims to renounce the Koran ?  "We can't keep letting other people paint a picture of who we are"

Well sorry Diaa Mohamed, nice try, but we have read and heard it all before, you see,what you say you believe in and want to impose upon Mankind is all written in the Koran,or do you, Diaa Mohamed, RENOUNCE the "Holy " Koran, the word of allah ? Do you refute it's edicts and call to war against non Muslims, the Infidels?

AS a four-year-old girl desperately paddled towards a life jacket amid the wreckage of SIEV 221, a man bobbing in the monstrous Christmas Island swell grabbed it and then kicked her away, an inquest has heard.
Local Australian Federal Police officer, Special Constable Shane Adams, stood on the cliffs at Rocky Point on December 15, trying to help the 89 asylum seekers and three crew members whose boat had smashed into rocks.
He spotted the girl after the boat broke apart trying to dog paddle towards a life jacket he had flung into the sea.
Const Adams said he then noticed a man aged about 35 in the water nearby.
"He reached out and grabbed the life jacket, pushed out with his right foot and struck the young girl on the shoulder, pushing her back," he told the inquest on Christmas Island.
That was the last time Const Adams saw the girl.

Before the boat was torn to pieces amid the backwash at Rocky Point, Const Adam said he saw a woman stretching over the railing of the starboard side of the vessel holding a baby in a nappy.
The woman was screaming, 'take my baby, take my baby.'
It was what Const Adams described as a "freak swell" of about five to six metres which destroyed the wooden vessel and caused the roof to collapse.
Underneath the ship's ruptured verandah lay an elderly man, he said.
Const Adams also told the inquest he stood on the razor-sharp rocks and threw down a rope which a man grabbed hold of, but when the asylum seeker got within 10cm of safety he fell back and was not seen again.
The vessel had originally come near the shore under power but while manoeuvring in the rough seas, a blue drum fell off the boat leaking diesel into the sea.
"In my opinion the vessel had now lost its fuel supply," Const Adams said.
"At the same time the smoke exhaust stack started to puff and then stopped ... and the vessel ceased moving forward."
Fellow AFP officer Constable Brett Ford helped bring the dead bodies ashore at Ethel Beach on the other side of the island.
From about 10.30am, bodies of men, women and children were continually unloaded, Const Ford said.
But soon they ran out of body bags and had to wrap the deceased in black, plastic sheets.
This continued until about 4pm later that day.
Claire O'Connor, the lawyer acting for survivors and the families of dead, told the inquest her clients had nothing but praise for locals who rushed to the cliffs that day.
"Many owe their lives to many of the community members who helped, who pointed out to the navy where people might be in the water and provided medical services," Ms O'Connor said.
"It was far beyond what they were expecting and are extremely grateful."
Earlier in the day, Ms O'Connor put to Sergeant Adam Mack, from the West Australian Water Police who coordinated the search and rescue operations, that a factor in the deaths was the poor condition of the boat which she said was "practically a floating coffin".
Sgt Mack replied: "It was an unseaworthy vessel and did not have the appropriate safety equipment and due to other circumstances it caused the vessel to break down, the motor to lose power and crash into the cliffs."
The inquest before WA Coroner Alastair Hope continues.

A PERTH judge says a doctor convicted of sexually assaulting a 'sick and vulnerable"' 19-year-old patient while examining her committed a "despicable" breach of trust.
Suhail Ahmad Khan Durani, 35, was sentenced in the Perth District Court today to two years and four months in prison.
He was convicted last month on three counts of indecently assaulting the woman by grabbing her breasts and two counts of digitally penetrating her without consent.
The offences occurred at Royal Perth Hospital on February 20 last year when the diabetic woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was admitted with high blood sugar levels.
During sentencing submissions, Durani's lawyer George Papamihail asked for a suspended prison sentence, arguing that there were ``exceptional circumstances'' for his client who had already suffered a ``universal fall from grace''.
``He's lost his profession for all time,'' he said
Mr Papamihail said there had not been any other allegations made against his client and the offence was out of character.
He said Durani was not likely to reoffend, so it was ``doubtful'' that a prison sentence would help with any rehabilitation and would only negatively impact on Durani's wife.
``She will be left financially and socially destitute,'' he said.
However, prosecutor Paul Yovich argued that Durani's circumstances were ``not sufficiently exceptional'' to grant a suspended sentence.
While he accepted that Durani's wife and young son were ``innocent victims'', Mr Yovich said they were victims of Durani's conduct and not the law, which had an obligation to deal with Durani.
He said Durani could still apply, at a later date, to become a registered doctor again.
In sentencing, Judge Allan Fenbury said the woman was in hospital due to ``personal neglect'' of her diabetes but had trusted that Durani was carrying out legitimate medical examinations of her rather than seeking sexual gratification.
``Your conduct in pretending to professionally examine and then take sexual advantage of a sick and vulnerable young woman seeking medical treatment was quite despicable,'' he said.
The woman only realised what was happening when Durani tried to kiss her, the judge said.
Judge Fenbury told Durani the effect of his conviction and sentence would be ``obviously catastrophic'' for him and his young family, who have only lived in Australia for three years, having moved from India.
However, he said the fact that Durani did not plead guilty to the charges, and instead required a trial, meant he had to take that into consideration in sentencing him.
``It cannot be said that you are remorseful,'' he said.

Judge Fenbury noted that Durani had several character reference letters from doctors who expressed ``disappointment'' at Durani's conviction, as well as 11 other people who made themselves available by telephone.
``Clearly you were well regarded by your colleagues in the medical profession,'' he said.
Judge Fenbury said Durani had no previous criminal record and had dedicated his life to helping the ill before this incident.
``I have no reason to doubt you were very good at what you did,'' he said.
However, Judge Fenbury said the crime committed was ``too serious'' to warrant a suspended prison sentence.
``Along with your liberty, you stand to lose your livelihood and family home,'' he said.
``Your wife will have to battle on without a husband in a place where she has no family.
``Your son will also have limited access to his father.''
Outside court, Mr Papamihail told reporters his client maintained his innocence and had instructed him to appeal the conviction.
Mr Papamihail said it was not fair for a measure of a man to be made based on one event.
``It's not a matter of me being personally affected,'' he said.
``For every client that I act for, if they tell me that they're innocent, it's important.''
Durani will be eligible for parole after serving 14 months.

A NATIONAL day of protest demanding the burqa be banned has raised fears it could provoke Cronulla riot-style hysteria.
Almost 14,000 people have signed up for Monday's "Ban the Burqa Day", which urges protesters to wear a balaclava or mask.
But Islamic leaders labelled the event racist.

 
Organiser Kye Keating, 20, instigated the protest with two friends via Facebook after Sydney woman Carnita Matthews used her burqa to quash a jail sentence for deliberately making a false statement to police.
"This event is not aimed at race, it is not aimed at religion," Mr Keating said.
"It is just aimed at concealing your identity in a public place. If everyone is not allowed to do it, no one should be allowed to do it."
Mr Keating, a former hospitality student from Victoria looking for work, has been surprised by interest in the event.
Even an elderly nursing home resident will be among protesters going about with their faces covered.
"It's not so much about adopting our culture and completely dropping your own," Mr Keating said.
"It is just making those slight little changes that make it easier for you to become an Aussie."
The furore comes after the Baillieu Government revealed this month it would investigate if there was a need in Victoria for laws, being adopted in other states, that empower police to force Muslim women wearing a full veil to reveal their faces.
Islamic Council of Victoria director Nazeem Hussain said that fewer than 3000 Muslim women who wore burqas in Australia had no problem taking the garment off for police, who have power to demand identification.
"This kind of mass demonstration, this mass show of intolerance is just that," Mr Hussain said. "I would say it's hysteria reminiscent of Cronulla."
Muslim community spokesman Keysar Trad said women chose to wear the burqa for religious observance, not to hide their identity. "All I see beneath that call is bigotry and intolerance," Mr Trad said.
Liberal backbencher Bernie Finn, who supports banning the burqa in some places for security reasons, said people were entitled to express concerns about the garment.

A LAWYER for a Hells Angels bikie accused of attempting to extort money from a luxury car dealership asked his client to be bailed so he could get married.

Moustafa Jouayde, 30, is one of five men charged with demanding money from car dealer and racehorse owner Terry Mullens at the Burwood business in Sydney's inner west yesterday.

In Burwood Local Court today, Jouayde's lawyer George Thomas said his client was getting married in Lidcombe on Saturday and would lose money if it didn't go ahead.

He said a hip-hop artist, magician, and lebanese band had already been booked for the 250-seat wedding.

Mr Thomas told the court that the prosecution case was weak, and that Jouayde was speaking with Mr Mullens because he wanted to trade his bike for a BMW.

Magistrate Christopher Longley refused bail because Jouayde was on bail for two offences when he allegedly committed the offence.

Mr Longley said he believed the police case was "pretty strong".

Gang Squad detectives arrived within ten minutes and arrested the men, aged 24 to 30.

All five men are charged with attempted extortion and participating in a criminal group.

It is alleged the men were also involved in the theft of four luxury cars from the same dealership last week and returning them in pristine condition 26 hours later.

The remaining four men will appear this afternoon.

A COUNCIL caretaker who smuggled two teenage girls into Britain and forced them to work as prostitutes after they were put under a voodoo curse was jailed for 20 years.

Failed Nigerian asylum seeker Anthony Harrison, 32, also became the first person to be convicted of trafficking the victims out of the UK in a groundbreaking case.

A jury at Woolwich Crown Court unanimously convicted Harrison of a string of trafficking charges but cleared him of two charges of rape.

The girls involved, aged 14 and 16, from Edo in Nigeria, are believed to be the first 'Juju' voodoo rites victims to give evidence in a European court.

The two teenagers - who cannot be identified for legal reasons - underwent a series of perverse ceremonies which saw one of them stripped naked, cut all over her body with razors and locked

in a coffin for hours.

Another ceremony saw her forced to drink blood while yet another involved eating a chicken's heart.

The Juju rituals were intended to ensure the victims were 'bound' to a medicine man and would never reveal the truth about their harrowing ordeals.

Until now, those who have undergone such rituals have refused to speak out of fear that a curse would kill them.

Harrison, of Albert Square, Stratford, east London, worked for Newham council under the name Charles Pepple.

Passing sentence, Judge Philip Shorrock said: 'The trafficking of young girls from rural villages in Nigeria so they can be compelled to work as prostitutes is a vile business.

SOMALI youths living in western Sydney have been identified as a potential source of future home grown violent extremism according to intelligence given to the federal government.

The government will directly fund specific counter-terrorism programs aimed at Sydney's Somali community to prevent marginalised youth being lured into radical groups.

Attorney-General Robert McClelland will today announce $1.7 million in grants to 22 local community organisations as part of a Rebuilding Resilience in the Community program.

Two of those programs will be aimed directly at Sydney's west and south western Somali refugee community.

While there is no evidence that any have links to those involved in an alleged Melbourne terror cell smashed by police in 2009, local leaders say there is a risk that young people in Sydney could be drawn into radical groups.

"Intelligence and feedback from the community form a key part of the evidence base that drives Australia's Countering Violent Extremism program," Mr McClelland said.

"We want to give people the knowledge and skills to challenge violent extremism, whenever and wherever these ideologies are advocated, whether online, in schools, in the media or among peers.

"A comprehensive counter-terrorism response needs to include broader strategies to lessen the appeal of extremist ideologies that fuel terrorism in the first place."

Earlier this year, about $1 million was handed out for youth mentoring programs but the new round of grants will go directly to combat extremism. It is the first time money will go directly to Somali groups in Sydney and in Melbourne.

Mohammed Omar, who runs the Sydney Stars Somali Football Club and will help administer a program, said he believed there were no extremists living among Sydney's Somali community. But he admitted the risk was present for young marginalised people to be drawn into radical groups.

Branding the Afghan war a Western invasion, Uthman Badar, from the radical Islamic organisation Hizb ut-Tahrir, said: "If our members exist in a country where an occupation has occurred, in capacity as individuals they would have an obligation to resist."

Asked directly if he condoned the killing of Australian troops in Afghanistan, Mr Badar replied: "If you are occupying someone else's land then those victimised people have the right to resist."

He also refused to condemn underhand tactics such as suicide bombing as long as "innocent, non-combatants" were not targeted.

He was speaking as hundreds of Muslims gathered in Lidcombe, in Sydney's west, to promote their call for the creation of an Islamic state ruled by Sharia law, stretching from Spain to Australia.

The group has been banned in many countries overseas, including parts of the Middle East.

Although Hizb ut-Tahrir does not represent most of Muslims in Australia, it has a growing following here.

While Australian forces joined the war in Afghanistan to capture Osama Bin Laden and fight the Taliban in the wake of the September 11, 2001 attacks, Mr Badar said the Australian Government had no business being there.

"You have no business in interfering with the people of the Muslim world," he said. "Military occupation should be resisted militarily. People there have a right to resist."

But Islamic Friendship Association of Australia chairman Keysar Trad said the views of Hizb ut-Tahrir were not shared by most mainstream Australian Muslims.

"We would like to see the conflict in Afghanistan resolved peacefully and Australian troops return home safely," he said.

Outside the conference, police were forced to call for reinforcements, including the dog squad, when a group of about a dozen members of the Australian Protectionist Party chanting "no sharia law in Australia" almost came to blows with young men from the Hizb ut-Tahrir event.

Protest organiser and APP NSW chairman Darrin Hodges said: "Hizb ut-Tahrir have been banned in most Islamic countries in the Middle East. We don't understand why they haven't been banned here."

THE Australian branch of Islamic political group Hizb ut-Tahrir held its third annual conference yesterday, and celebrated with a litany of bizarre and divisive commentary.

At a time when many Islamic citizens in the Middle East are rising up against oppressive rule and demanding long-overdue freedoms, Hizb ut-Tahrir speakers in Sydney chose to criticise the role

of Western governments in those events.

Australia should "mind its own business", according to Hizb ut-Tahrir spokesman Uthman Badar.

There's something deeply perverse about an exclusionary and anti-democratic group demanding that Australia "mind its own business" from the safety and security of Australia. Elsewhere in the

world, including many Middle Eastern nations, Hizb ut-Tahrir is actually banned. The speakers who yesterday were able to freely discuss their ambitions for an Islamic state would be arrested if

they expressed those same thoughts under the Hizb ut-Tahrir banner in, for example, Turkey or Bangladesh.

Indeed, if Hizb ut-Tahrir had their way and were in a position to rule, public opposition such as we saw yesterday would be a thing of the past. The group rejects the Western concept of

democracy. Under the group's constitution, voting would only be open to Muslims. Non-Muslims would also be banned from holding public office.

In other words, we grant Hizb ut-Tahrir far greater liberties than they would ever grant non-believers - including the liberty to state that insurgents in such places as Afghanistan are obliged to

attack Australian troops.

Hizb ut-Tahrir exploits the freedoms available in Australia to advance an explicitly anti-freedom agenda.
